Three nights senior "America the Beautiful" pass tent camping Pinnacles over New Year holiday. All good but was triggered upon learning that family members invited to join in for an afternoon hike had to each pay for a minimum 10 day pass. Yikes!

Park store was great, trails were amazing, but our campsite left something to be desired. Campsites 1, 2, and 3 are very close to where the RVs dump their sewage, with campsite 1 being the closest. Unfortunately we were in campsite 1, so our we smelled sewage the entire time we were at our campsite.I would highly recommend avoiding those three campsites if possible.

Pretty solid campground. A little overpriced in my opinion, but itโ€™s the best option in the park. Be careful of Racoons. They are everywhere and not afraid of people

We were the wrong time of the year for a swimming pool at camp, but the kids loved the idea and want to come back.

We had campsite #1 which was more private than the others and quieter. The scenery was lush and green and beautiful from all the rain. Everyone who worked here was very helpful. We will be back.

Great location. But gets very busy on account of day visitors stopping by to take the free shuttles to the hiking trails.

Well maintained and easy to access.

the tent site is very good except there is no water source close by, we had to drive to another location for water only. On the map, there is a water sign close to our tent side, yet, the staff said that is wrong.

Great camping location. We wanted to get on the trail early in the morning and this provided a great spot for that.

The campground is very spacious and nice. The toilets and shower rooms are adequate and clean.The campground store and staff are very helpful. Overall, the Pinnacles NP campground is excellent.

Well run park. Rangers are friendly even with the large number of campers. Think the fees are too high but that is not keeping people out so supply and demand wins.

$43 a night for a tent campsite with no electricity is a bit high, but restrooms and outdoors here are great. Showers had warm water, although the air in the restroom was cool after a night nearly at freezing. Heard two owl species before dawn, and walking to the ranch down the campground road I was able to see many other species of birds, including Acorn Woodpeckers and stash trees loaded with acorns in holes, plus California Scrub-Jays stealing the acorns. The scopes at the road junction in the campground were either broken or fogged up, so I used my own scope to spot a lone condor in a tree on the ridge above the campground. Camping cabins are also here for those not wanting to tent camp.

It was very easy to get to the campground. Maps were available of the park and campground outside by the store even though we arrived late at night (8pm). The signs were easy to follow, restrooms were well lit and easy to find as well. the campsites had everything that was listed online (bear locker or racoon locker to be more accurate, a table and fire pit).

The campground was pretty close to the trails and the cave. The sights were beautiful. Beware though, there is no signal throughout the whole park and leading up to it. You can purchase WiFi, but its not that strong. There are bathrooms and showers, but theyre kind of dirty. But other than that, the sights were surreal
@AndreiT792 · Camped on Oct 30, 2021 at Campsite #1
Easy to secure a campsite. The site was big enough for our party of 4. We had 2 picnic tables and a fire pit. Bathrooms and trash was close by.

PInnacles campsites are pretty nice. Bonus is a pool, sadly the hours are not great. they close at 6pm in the summer even though it's light until 8pm. this needs to change. one of the two available showers was out of order. the metal stalls of the bathrooms in the shower building are pretty rotted away. while things are clean, it's clear the owners are not spending any money to upgrade the facilities. great for dark sky viewing. very hot during the day in august; cools off at night. the roads are good. maps are good.
