Pinnacles campground is clean, well run, and it's wonderful to have the pool and showers. It was a little confusing on the website as to which campsites were group or individual, or perhaps I didn't pay close attention.

Beautiful park. Nice trails. Got to be up close and personal with the condors which was very cool. Only thing that was not ideal was the campground. I stayed in a group camping area (only thing available) and there was a group of 40+ kids literally screaming and shrieking until 9:30pm. I go to national parks to enjoy nature and it completely ruined the camping experience as there wasnt a single moment of silence. The noise was deafening. Kids will be kids but man there needs to be some rules in place to preserve the peace out there.

The park is beautiful, one of the best. The campground is okay. It is close to the park, has some nice features. It is also a long dark walk to the unlit bathrooms at night. And be warned that the ranger is not a nice person. He seems to like to prowl the campground in his park ranger car and look for things that people are doing wrong. Never a nice word from him. Probably could benefit from some retraining on how to be an ambassador of the park service. The kids we were with now have a bad impression of national park rangers. sad.

My family had a good time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The site was clean and provided more shade than I expected but full sun for few hours in the afternoon. We had a shade so it wasnt an issue to us. Unfortunately was really cold at night and even propane fire pit wasnt allowed, something that wasnt specified on their website . Im sure the rule was for everyones safety but if Im camping i would like to enjoy a campfire.

I am extremely disappointed that this campground removed the signs about dark skies and does nothing to limit excessive lights in the campground or bathrooms. I was trying to star gaze at my group site and it was simply impossible with so many lights all around me. Please put the sign back up about the importance of dark skies. I believe that many people, like me, go to Pinnacles in order to enjoy our vanishing dark skies. You could help by encouraging visitors to limit outdoor lighting and be mindful of others who might not want them flashing their white flashlight in other campers' eyes. You could make an open area available for star gazers that prohibits lighting.

This camp was noisy and poorly managed. Forget quiet hours!! This is a party campground..

The water access was poor - spigots were too far from group site. Availability of wood (1 bundle/day for a group site was waaaaay to little). Sites had little or no shade and were all dirt (not sure that can be helped given climate/geography). Too expensive given each car had to pay 30 bucks for national park pass in addition to camping fees. And the caves/main attractions were almost a 2 hr drive from campground. Wouldnt go again and wouldnt recommend for camping.

Wide, spacious campground, with two large picnic tables and plenty of parking. Restrooms are relatively close-by but with enough space so that it's not disturbing. We came here with a small group of 10 people. Saw lots of quail in the morning, some ground squirrels (maybe voles), scrubjays, some deer! The raccoons are very active so make sure to pack your food in the locker well. There really isn't a lot of shade at this specific group site, it's almost fully-exposed during most of the day. There is just a little shade from the trees near the food locker and picnic tables during the morning, otherwise it is little to none. You will need a shade structure for sure. I would change the description to just "no shade" to allow for better expectations. Had a great time at the campground and hiking in the Pinnacles!

Beautiful Nation Park, the scenary is breathtaking. Nice and clean group camp ground, lots of wildlife and a little inconvenience, but this is they home, just need to learn how to live with them. The raccoons story is real, they don't scare of human at all. They try to open our big ice chest every night, if you put weight on top of the ice chest, they will knock it down. Never bring any food items to your tent, they were unzipped my tent 2 times when I was sleeping and draged my backpack out just for fun. Other than that, great Park to visit, we definitely will return. One more thing. Becareful of the poison oak, they are abundance at the hiking trail.

Well maintained group site with nearby water faucet, trash containers and restrooms, which were very clean; but no paper towels and the faucets are low flow and had to press with one hand, so more time in bathroom then wanted.

What a ridiculous campsite. We reserved a group site, anticipating lots of people going with us, but everyone had to cancel because of school, fortunately. The site (#120) is right next to the road, there is no water, no shade, and no parking. Pinnacles National Park is a wonderful spot, but the campsite was the worst
