Well maintained campground with frequently cleaned porta-potties throughout. Friendly, helpful staff too. This is a huge, popular campground with over 100 sites that fill up 100% Fridays, Saturdays which also brings lots of kids and barking dogs noise as well as bringing out the many bold racoons coming into camps for everyone's dinner. Using the locking metal storage is a must! Weekdays in September were wonderfully empty and quiet. Great hikes in the park!

We stayed in campsite 70C. Loved the campsite but would like to know if the restrooms will be reconstructed or will it be porta-potties from now on in that loop.

Before I delve into my concerns, I want to express my appreciation for the park's stunning beauty in the fall. The vibrant colors were a sight to behold and added to the overall enjoyment of my camping experience. Here's my rub: I reserve site # 71. Adjacent is site #72 (If you have ever camped there and are familiar with these two campsites, you'll understand). They are on top of each other, with no space between them, and they have a party of four. I felt like I was intruding on their campsite and vice versa. In my observation of that Loop, only three other reserved campsites exist. So I requested to move to campsite 67 or 68, and they informed me it would be $11 to transfer sides. Really!!! I'm 72 years old I've been camping for several years I never ran across that before. I can understand if it's in the busy season, but that midweek, I'll say in total, probably only 30 to 40% of Campground was occupied. What difference would it make?

Such a great campground! Our site was in the C loop and offered quite a bit of privacy with lots of trees. There was a bank of well-maintained porta-potties very close by with sinks, soap and paper towels. This campground also has free showers with clean facilities and designated parking spots!

Pinnacles NP is a wonderful place to visit and staying at the campground is an amazing experience. We had a wonderful time.

The sites seem to vary a lot in terms of space/shade/privacy, but it's a nice campground. It's worth looking at photos/reviews of the individual sites before you book. The site next to ours this time was tiny and had a seasonal stream running through it.

Beautiful hikes nearby! We started from the end of the C loop. Neighbors were considerate (although there was some loud conversation later on - no music or anything). Pretty chilly at night (faucet froze solid) but really spectacular stars. Only thing is we didn't manage to find the shortcut between the campground loops and the path in the dark and ended up scrambling through the ravine. So ... if there actually is a shortcut like the maps suggest, a sign would be nice

The dumping process needs to be looked at. I understand rules are made becasue someone did something wrong but the inefficiency of the entire process is not good.

Would have been nice to have been told the bathrooms a would be closed. Also would have like to have known that the drinking water was going to be brown. So much sediment. Yuk. Had to pay 4 dollars a gallon at the store. Lots of partying going on in the campground till well after midnight. Tough to get up early to hike the next day. Not the best experience.

The hiking and trails get 5 stars. However, ALL of the campground bathrooms were closed not just Loop B like the reservation system stated. We stayed in Loop C and there was only ONE portapotty for the entire loop (8-10sites) and no hand washing station. This heavy usage made the entire experience way more disgusting than it had to be. We ended our trip early. I let the campground store people know and they told me there was nothing they could do (meaning no refund was given).

One group arrived at 10pm and made quite a bit of noise. They were in campsite #69. They were just not prepared to camp. They arrive late. It was really cold. The temperature dropped down to 26°F. At 2 AM they were making noise. This was Friday night December 10. After that things got better. The weather was great on Saturday at December 11. We did a beautiful hike on December 12 as well. We got to see condors as well. Pinnacles is a wonderful place.

Amazing park! The amenities and staff here are top notch. Loved that potable water was accessible at each site. Be aware that the Visitor Center is only open Thursday-Mondays!
