Campsite was smaller than expected, but everything was nice! It is a little far from the bench trailhead (~1.2 miles), but we had a gorgeous hike.

Terrible crowd management - parking full and no shuttle so stuck at campground with very little to do. Would not recommend.

Nice and secluded campground. Fantastic hikes to Balconies caves and the high peaks loop!! We will definitely return:-)

Site 71. The outer sites on this loop are served by several portolets. After what must have been a strong heavy rain recently there was also a great deal of mud in front of the portolets. Otherwise the camping here was fine.

Good times, great place. Camp sites were surprisingly private for being so dense. Good, large live oaks and Grey pines surrounded the area. Only challenge was found trying to get a registration tile placed since signage was limited and cryptic in the dark (checked in online prior to arrival) which worried me since our camp site had been stolen and we had to steal one of the other empty ones in lieu.

Great campground with hot showers. I camped in late October so managed to spot many tarantulas. The only thing to watch out for at this time of the year are acorns falling down from trees directly on your car (one of them managed to chip off my paint).

The weather was perfect, the hikes were fun and challenging. We had a really great campsite with lots of privacy, people were quiet and respectful. I loved that there was no cell service or internetit was a real break from regular life. Nothing but the birds and bunnies and quails and stars at night.Only two downsides: lots of flies in the evening just at supper time, and portapotties rather than bathrooms with flush toilets, but I assume that is being worked on.

Look, It's beautiful at Pinnacles. Big oaks, it's beautiful. But from the time we got there it was clear the staff are overwhelmed with the numbers of people coming to the park. And the toilets are mostly portapotties!! They really need to address the toileting situation. It's a shame, such a beautiful place impacted by too many guests and insufficient infrastructure.

The Pinnacles campground is lovely, spring is a great time of year to visit (albeit quite a few bugs, so bring an easy up with netting)! The campground is well taken care of, the bathrooms were clean and I never saw any trash on the ground the whole time we were there. Nice quiet roads for kids to ride bikes/scoot, as well as a pool and some easy walks. Beware that the raccoons are quite aggressive, after the first night we learned to pack EVERYTHING away from our picnic table, since they'll come sniff through things if you leave anything out. Luckily there are large animal-proof bins at every site (and lots of signs warning you to put your smelly things away).

The campsite and restroom were clean and well-stocked. Only complaint is that the bundle of firewood I purchased was small and there was no kindling.

Even as a California native, I knew next to nothing about Pinnacles National Park. All and all, I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend the Bear Gulch Caves and High Peaks Trail. Hike was one of the most unique I've experienced in 50 plus years of backcountry travel. It was a thrill to see several California Condors in the wild near the apex of the High Peaks Trail. Our visit was at the end of January, during a relatively warm and dry period after several weeks of rain. The timing was perfect - everything was brilliant green and the day time temps were comfortable. The drive through San Benito Valley on highway 25 to and from the park was spectacular. Night time temps in the campground were in the high twenties, so a warm sleeping bag or trailer with heat strongly recommended. The campground was 3/4 empty during the week at that time of year, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The visitor center and campground are not exactly the crown jewel of the National Park System and could definitely use some TLC. Visit this place for the natural beauty, unique geology and wild life, and the solitude.

Another great trip. Thank you to the good guys who gave me a ride to get the spare key from camp when I accidentally locked my keys in the car at the old pinnacles trail. You meet the greatest people when your out in the woods!

Great hiking and amazing views in Pinnacles, a hidden gem of a National Park. High Peaks trail, Balconies Cliffs trail, Juniper Canyon trail, Tunnel trail probably the most scenic (and steepest), but even the "less scenic" trails are beautiful, and have fewer people on them. Even the trails that on the map look like they are right by the roads are great, are only right by the roadbed for short stretches if at all, most of the way they are off-set from road and very pretty.
Nice campground, esp if you scope out the campground map and pics of sites ahead of time and look for shade and privacy. (Closer to the creek will be shadier but result in more raccoon interest in your food, though, can't turn your back on food even for a minute!) Midweek in winter there were very few people yet beautiful days in the low 80's, and plenty of parking at Park trailheads unlike on weekends. Summers here are way too hot, can be in the high 90's or hundreds, no fun on steep trails to the more scenic high peaks views.
No shower available during the 5 days I was at campground due to building being renovated, but that was posted on campground website so I was forewarned. Friendly camp store with basic supplies if you forgot something. No cell coverage in campground or most of Park only at occasional highest points of highest trails. Pay-per-hour wifi available near campground store only, not out in most of the campsite loops.

Pinnacles NP is a beautiful place to visit. Great rock formations, beautiful sycamore trees and lots of critters to watch. Very quiet campground. Fantastic experience.

I spent the summer traveling the country and visited 17 National Parks. To be honest, Pinnacles was not one of the highlights. I was impressed with all of the rangers and staff I interacted in the park and the campground but the campground, the only one in or near the park was very expensive and quite unpleasant. It does have a swimming pool so I guess if you have kids that might be a plus. It advertised showers but there was only one working shower (for women) in the entire camp and it was absolutely disgusting. I was also pretty concerned about the lack of security. I had a site at the far end of the campground and had someone come in about 3:30AM and set up a car camp right next to me, they partied until about 5:00AM. There were multiple fires going during a fire ban and I never once saw a ranger or park employee make their way around the campground. *Also, if you visit in the summer, it is HOT!!!

Lots of wildlife at this park. We camped in the “tent” or dry camping area with our small travel trailer for two nights and we were sure glad we did. Much nicer campsites then the hook up sites. Very relaxing stay. Lots of birds and the deer come right through the campground. The cave hike was really good! We really liked the campground host, Aaron. He was very helpful and friendly.
