The campground as a whole was great. Clean bathrooms close by, having the camp store and showers nearby was a major plus. Lots of wildlife around that were especially active in the early morning.

Pinnacles is such a special place: a mix of coast range, foothills, majestic rocky cliffs, riparian forest, chaparral, desert scrub. We came after an early fall rain with more rain predicted. We Californians are spoiled with such fine weather that we aren't very prepared for rain, so many campsites were empty. The air and plants were scrubbed clean. The rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, raccoons, and deer were quite active and not afraid of humans. Keep all your food secure from marauding raccoons. One evening during our bat walk, there were a hundred turkey vultures circling overhead. We glimpsed condors from Bear Gulch parking lot. The trail out from Old Pinnacles parking lot is one of our favorites for scenery and plants. Exploring east and south from the Bacon Ranch in cool weather gives you a feel for living in this area.It was over 100 degrees the day before we arrived, with the rain moderating that to the mid 80's with high humidity during our stay. We easily switched our campsite from a sunny spot #114 to a shady spot #8. We took full advantage of the pool with a dip before and after our hikes and nice showers too. It was fun to enjoy from afar the energy of a 6th-grade camping outing. The park was well-maintained and park staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They were great in helping our friend charge her electric car.

We came here for a weekend getaway. Very impressive night sky view. Saw Milky Way for the first time in my life. Free 24h shower and summer open swimming pool is plus. Condors in the sky and not crowded at all. The campsites map is a bit misleading though. For 2 connected campsites on the map turned out to be separated by a dry creek without tap water .

Pinnacles Never again!I was there for 5 nights, June 22 - 27. The park is beautiful with lots of wildlife. But the staff is horrible. The rangers are rude, lazy and offensive especially the one that has been there for 38 years. The camp store woman was equally lazy and unhelpful. Maybe this bitterness and unresponsiveness comes with age?The only brights spots were the younger people. The campground receptionist/host was very nice and responsive to my needs to find a new site. Also really enjoyed the volunteer at the Bear Gulch Nature Center. She was eager to make everyones visit worthwhile, offering tips about hikes and wildlife. Although I didnt really have a lot of interaction with the ranger at the entrance booth, he always smiled and waved when I passed by to visit other areas.

The campsite was quiet and clean. There was a ton of wildlife around. Raccoons, turkey, deer, quail, rabbits. There are trails nearby and some trailheads start by the campground. There are showers and flush toilets. The phone signal in camp is also good.

Awesome campground, general store supplies are scarce and no nearby towns for miles so make sure to bring what you need. A lot of hiking, but easy hikes to see the park. Super worth it! There are showers, nice bathrooms, fire pits and picnic tables. A lot of wild life too, look forward to that!

Night sky was beautiful. Download a night sky app to help you identify all those stars you can't normally se in the city. Quiet campground and respectful neighbors. Real bathrooms in loop 1 are a plus. Good cell phone service for AT&T.

Loop A was nice - campground was quiet as it's the off season now and it was hot while I was there. Bathrooms were well maintained, camp store has good variety. Most sites in loop A don't have much privacy, though site 8 is at least shaded from the sun through the morning and early afternoon, while still having plenty of open sky for stargazing at night.

Roomy sites with nice, clean bathrooms. Nice faculties overall and a friendly ranger came by to tell us about a star party that night which was awesome. A lot of sites are full sun during the day but it cooled down nicely at night. Only issue is that finding water was a tad unclear. The closest spigot to us was out of service but not marked as so, there as just no water coming from it. And then it took a few minutes to find the next one. They are not clearly marked.

The men's and women's bathrooms were clogged and overflowing so we had to drive to the next campground bathroom to do our duties. Otherwise, the campground was nice and open and the general store had everything we forgot to bring. The pool was open and those with kids looked like they had a lot of fun. There isn't a lot of shade and it was really hot, so definitely bring a canopy if you want to hang out at your campsite during the day.

My site flooded when it rained & I could tell it had flooded previous due to dry river like beds in the driveway. Four teenage boys checked-in late Friday night & erected their tent almost on top of my trailer. They then proceeded to chatter loudly until I made them aware of quiet hours at 11:30pm when Id had enough. The park & trails were both beautiful. Condors were present & accounted for!

Great spot with 2 hours notice. Just about level enough for our camper van. There were A LOT of Racoons which made it a bit uncomfortable outside at night. They came right up to you in groups of 3-6. Soon as they realized we didn't have food, they scurried away, but it was slightly unnerving.

Campsite itself was spacious and facilities were very good. Exceptionally clean. Would recommend camping on the western side of loops as they had cooler afternoons/evenings with some shade from trees.Park as a whole is beautiful. Recommend the high peaks loop, but be sure to start relatively early (we were on the trail by 8:30) and take lots of water. We passed some people at the end of our hike that were just starting and really struggling.
