Took my 10 year old daughter on her first camping trip. The hike up to High Peaks Trail and back down to Bear Gulch were just on the edge of her comfort level, but she was amazed when exploring these two places. Came on a weekday so didn't get to experience the infamous parking problems.Campground was clean, no complaints other than trying to secure a reservation which can be a challenge.Wish the pool was open later than 5:30, we finished our hike and got back to the site at 5:15, so had to skip the expected refreshing dip! I was very surprised that T-Mobile had coverage in the park. There was very little 3 years ago. Daughter was happy to talk to Mom a couple times during the stay.

Great campsites with picnic tables, potable water close by, restrooms are super clean and well maintained. We had a great time.

Awesome location tucked away by the creek. The dense foliage of the oak tree canopy protected us from the rain. Make sure to figure out where the bathroom is before it's dark.

Good site and it's secluded from the rest, but just one parking spot. If sleeping in your vehicle you will be away from your main site area.

We hiked the Balconies trail and caves it was wonderful. Lovely campground, very relaxed and low key for a national park. Very large weekend crowds in the day use areas waiting to get to Bear Gulch!

Pinnacles is a fabulous park, with gorgeous cliffs, excellent trails, sweet campsites, and varied wildlife. Our campsite was well-located: near enough to the restrooms, with a water faucet in front, two picnic tables (a bonus, it turns out), flat spaces for tents, good amount of shade, and a knoll separating us from other sites. We had some encounters with wildlife (a family of raccoons and a juvenile mountain lion (ID'ed by its paw print on an ice chest), bold scrub jays, tons of yellow jackets, rabbits and deer on the road). We took walks daily, but found, despite having maps, that the signage was poor. Too bad one of the two showers was out of commission too.

Pinnacles is a great place to spend a few nights. Site 49 Loop C was spacious and shaded and the facilities were clean. We tried out the pool one sunny afternoon. It is not heated, so it was very cold! The bathroom right by the pool has the only showers at the campground: two coin-operated shower stalls each in the men's and women's restrooms. One of the showers in the women's restroom was out of order. I used the working shower once but was uncomfortable navigating how to shower with my mask on. The shower is a stall in a shared bathroom, so it did not feel COVID-safe so take my mask off. It was not a problem, but I wish I had known the showers would be so limited.

The camp store is well-stocked with supplies, snacks and souvenirs and the folks behind the counter are ready to answer questions about the park. The parking lots at the trailheads fill up fast in the morning, so it was nice to be able to leave right from the campground and add just a few miles roundtrip to our hikes.

Amazing hike and added bonus this visit of hiking very close to the Condors.
Campground had some private spaces for tents or dry camping. RV spots with hook ups are open & next to each other

I have camped here several times over past few years. Always prefer Loop C to get more shade & privacy. I hiked some trails but unfortunately, due to pandemic, the caves were closed. Very pleasant experience with nice interaction with friendly staff. Weather was good - Feb 25 to Mar 1, 2021.
