The park rangers at the campsite were rude. There was nobody staying at the two sites next on us and yet we couldnt temporarily park a third car there. The pool was not open like originally stated. The showers were flooding. The raccoons were out of control. Terrible experience and well never be back.

Dates of stay: 7/3/24-7/5/24.Got to the park in the early evening. We set up a tent in the trees/bushes behind the picnic bench in spot 48, didnt want to get hit by the sun in the am. Didnt realize we were so close to an animal denscary. Super hot the days there. First night a raccoon grabbed a bag of our dry goods while unloading, we got loud and it dropped the bag but we ended up with lots of raccoon saliva on the bagyuck! The storage box for food had rodent feces in it. I stepped out of the tent the first night with no light to use the restroom and not sure what I stepped on but ouch! The second night we were there a huge family rented the tents and were loud until 1am, no ranger or camp host to ask them to quiet down. Other than being with my family this was one of the worst camping trips weve had.

Fun campground that had a good vibe to it. Only option for the area but it is a very good one. Lots of animals running around like bunnies, squirrels and even turkeys. None of them were annoying but it was a pleasant site to see them in the wild. Lots of condors also flew overhead. Lastly, bathrooms and showers were all very clean and the camp store has all your basic needs.

Majority of campsites offer zero shade, pads are mostly loose dust that swirls in the wind and the number of ground squirrels (yes they carry Plague) is astounding. This National Park campground is a disgrace.

We made reservations at site 66 with a 30 foot 5th wheel. Although the site was plenty long enough, and the website said we would fit, we did not. This was due to the roadway being too narrow to back in at the appropriate angle to get our truck and trailer into the site. Even though the site was big enough, the entry way was not big enough.Luckily the campground host put us in another site, although it was not the best site. Please account for maneuvering and backing on your website when you put the proper parameters in.

The showers weren't working, but everything else was great.

Make sure to read all the way through the details as cancellations are very different from one kind of site to another.

There are now tent cabins in some of the loops. They have a significant impact on the view, so if you are looking for a more wide-open view, look for a site without tent cabins nearby.

Campsite #48 is portrayed by your photographs as being quite private. However, that is not the case and the view of the tent cabins is
hardly a pleasant experience. Additionally, campsite 47 is too close yet there is room to move it further away without impacting any
other site. #47 was occupied one night by 5 giggly late teenagers which made our skin crawl--I realize you can't do much about that.

Well-maintained campground! We enjoyed two days of hiking in Pinnacles National Park and two nights in the Pinnacles Campground. Due to Covid, the Visitor's Center is closed, but the Camp Store and other facilities at the campground were in service.
