Campsite was fine. A raccoon did steal some of my food. No complaint there. I could have been more careful. Some young folk were having a fun loud time, but they stopped during quiet hours. One thing to note is that the nearest bathroom became out of service when the toilets wouldnt flush. Thankfully there were other options. Do note that the firewood sold here is quality, but quite inflated.

The park was beautiful and amazing! Make sure you hike the Bear Gulch area, a lot of fun.

So much to do at that campground. Hiking in the morning and then enjoying the pool during evening time was the best experience my kids can ask.

Poor camping experience - no quiet hour enforcementHad to leave after one night despite having a weekend reservation. A large group at the adjacent group campsite was extremely loud from 8 PM until midnight Friday, then again starting at 6:30 AM Saturday. The noise was so excessive we couldn't have a normal conversation at our own site. Multiple other campers in our section also left Saturday morning due to the same issue. No park rangers were present to enforce quiet hours or address the situation. While the park itself is beautiful, the lack of staff oversight during peak camping times seriously impacts the camping experience. Would not recommend camping here on weekends without better noise enforcement.

Had one goal to hike the Condor Gulch- High Peaks Trail and was able to do it with the entire park basically to ourselves. Campsite had a creek running through it which gave the site a nice ambiance to it. Overall a great stop before heading up to the bay.

Great trails and uniquely beautiful gulches, soaring condors and vultures circling the peaks, and the campground is fine. Even Bacon Ranch is an interesting site.

Great sites, showers, bathrooms. Raccoons are down-right scary - they screamed at night and sounded like feral pigs

The bathrooms were clean as were the campsites but THIS IS A WARNING: THE RACCOONS THERE ARE CRAAAZZYY!! It's very much not the fault of the campground or park management, they clearly have been fed by humans many times and have now become aggressive. I've never seen anything like it--they were surrounding us at night and stealing food not a foot away from us. We were afraid they would try to get in our tents!! We just stored our food and anything that smelled in the car and in the bear box provided.

The Pinnacles are extraordinary, and the valleys very walkable. There are not many National Parks so close to the California coast.Check in was automatic, even though I arrived early.Camping was only about 20% capacity, due likely to predicted high temperatures, which we did have. I did the hard hiking before noon.Great time, as usual.

The Pinnacles was a good trip. We got to see quite a few condors. Midweek, the campground was uncrowded, even with the partial closure in Yosemite. On the downside, the park was badly understaffed and the visitors center was closed. The staff that were there were helpful, though.

Nice campgrounds. Restrooms were under construction so potty-potties were provided. The park fills up early even on week days and parking near the hiking trails is iffy.

Great park with lots of adventure. I like going for two nights. Day 1: arrive, setup camp, and then hike up Condor Gulch Trail. Day 2: I recommend getting up early (5:30am) to beat the crowds at Bear Gulch Caves and the reservoir. Hike up the High Peaks and go through Tunnel View and follow the condors - we spotted at least eight different ones at the top. Take the the Juniper Trail down and then explore the Balconies Cave. Take Old Pinnacles Trail back to the campground/or car. If possible, bring binoculars/spotting scope. At camp, face the mountains and watch for condors. We saw another four condors along with turkey vultures, Redtail hawks and other birds.

The rangers were fabulous.

Was really cold in morning, low 40's, to high 80's in afternoon. I camped May 10-13. Start early for long hikes and bring plenty of water. Beautiful time of year. Saw Condor's and lots of Turkey Vultures. Great National Park! Plan accordingly.

Great camping and great hikes. We went in late March to see wildflowers and were not disappointed. There are great hikes of various lengths. The only issue is that the shuttles are not running due to CoVID so add 2 miles to most of the hikes just to get from your camp site to many of the popular trails launch point (bear gulch). There is very limited parking at bear gulch and it fills up early (was full with multiple cars waiting by 10am).

The campground is understaffed so there is little to no night time oversight. Each night there were loud partiers who stayed up as late as 2am playing loud music, loud conversation, and vomiting. This ruins the majestic environment.

We arrived on Thanksgiving Day; also the day the park lifted it's fire ban. Our only complaint would have been that the camp store had a very limited supply of firewood, so our second night was an early and chilly one. Otherwise the campground exceeded all of our expectations - the reservation site pictures make the sites look way smaller than they actually are. We had a ton of privacy and space, and walking around, no site was the same. The park itself was amazing!! We managed to hike close to 12 miles in one day, along several routes listed on the map guide. This park is definitely full of wildlife and diversity - a true hidden gem!! Unfortunately we didn't catch sight of any condors, but we did get to see very pretty views up on the High Peaks and Balconies, as well as a rainbow!! Pinnacles is definitely a park that shouldn't be missed!!
