Chilly evening, but we were car camping so it was tolerable. The weather during the day was perfect for hiking. We did Condor Gulch the first day, around 3-5pm when the condors were out searching for dinner. It was awesome. Great hike! Next day did Bear Gulch and Reservoir hike. Recommend both. Campground clean and no sign of pesky raccoons. ;)This is our second visit to Pinnacles. The first was two years ago in October during tarantula mating season. Didnt even know that was a thing. Super cool. But also glad we were car camping. Becauseno thank you!

The campsite and hike was wonderful. The weekend we went was super hot though. Other than that, our time at the Pinnacles National Park was quite nice.

Hikes were gorgeous but start early in the day to avoid heat and crowds. Viewing the condors was the highlight!

My daughter and I spent 2 nights at Pinnacles recently to camp and hike. With all of the rain this year the whole area was still green, with flowers growing near all of the trails. The weather was perfect. Our campsite was perfect, as well. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Our longest hike was 11 miles, starting on the Old Pinnacles Trail, going across the High Peak Trail, and then looping back down through the Bear Gulch Caves before heading back to the car. The whole hike was amazing. Parts were rated as hard but at 69 years old I was able to do it all. We had a great 3 days/2 nights.

Great campsite. Clean facilities and convenient store.

We had the best spot with shade and lots of space. Free pool for campers, which my kids loved. Leave to hike EARLY or they close the road for half the day and you’re SOL. Staff was super friendly for the most part. Camp bathroom sewer backed up and toilets were closed 2 mornings in a row but they set up portables.

Love this place. Even in the rain and cold it was a great adventure filled with active wildlife, excellent hikes and incredible scenery!

Campground was great, but theres a bunch of raccoons wondering around. Not a problem, but just have to know they are there

I loved the campsite, camp store, and access to multiple trails of varying difficulty. There is something for everyone here!

Swimming pool was the highlight of the trip for our kids. It was nice to have free warm & clean shower. There were only 2 shower rooms by the pool though. I wish there were more shower near the campsites. The campground is quiet and very pleasant to be. I suggest bring a bug net/tent to put over the picnic table as there are so many flies in the evening. Surprisingly not many mosquitos but ants were everywhere! Hiking trails were pretty well maintained but watch out for poison oaks along the trails. The caves were very fun and easy to access.

The park is beautiful. However, the bathrooms for our campground loop was out of commission for 90% of the time we were there. That made it necessary to walk quite a distance to use a bathroom. That second nearest was small and now oversubscribed. The Pinnacles National Park needs needs to maintain the bathrooms it has. And, the park needs more bathrooms.

Excellent campground. Camp store has a lot to offer, which is great because there are no options for dining in the area. Bathrooms are very clean. Had a clear view of the stars from our campground.

We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and number of birds in the campground during our stay mid February. Quail were very abundant and frequented our campsite (#12). We saw a large number of turkey vultures soaring above the campground (Turkey vulture=red head, underwing all dark, so not black vulture or condor). Turkeys were in the campground and around the pool/shower area. Deer were in the meadow area the entrance station under the oaks.No issues with squirrels (abundant) or raccoons (notorious) or coyotes.Campsite was clean, showers were available, campground was quiet, although loop with full hook ups was full. We made a reservation on the same day as our arrival but our campsite was not marked 'reserved', so we potentially could have had a conflict with a camper occupying our site.

Su per clean bathrooms with great showers behind the camp store. Restroom in our loop was closed for restoration which was noisy and happening during the weekdays.

We stayed here in our travel trailer at a tent site with no hookups. Generators are not allowed but that didn't really seem to have much of an effect on our stay. The restrooms behind the store were exceptionally clean and modern, the showers there were some of the best public showers I have ever been in, but the caveat is we did not use this facility until a tuesday morning when the campground had pretty much emptied out. The restroom in our camp loop was closed for renovation, so portable toilets were in place instead. The renovation was ongoing during the weekday hours with a generator constantly running to power what sounded like a roto-hammer..definitely noisy. We weren't surprised at the fully booked campground over the weekend and were not able to get a site for Saturday nite; so we ended up staying on Friday, Sunday and Monday nites...definitely a great place on weeknights...pretty crowded on weekend nites. It was cold. The park was wonderful; we saw 3 Condors....simply amazing. We will return here, but make sure it is during the week.

We always have a good time at the Pinnacles. We continue to love the "no generators at any time" and "no amplified music" rules. I wish the signage would be replaced at the Bacon Ranch. Also an easy project for an Eagle Scout would be an life size illustration (with wings stretched out) of a Condor, Turkey Vulture, and Eagle. I thought the firewood was priced way too high.

We expected the showers to be operational. Only one of the women's showers worked at all and it was only a trickle (could not be considered a shower at all). This defect was not mentioned in Current Conditions or when we checked in. Otherwise; the camping and hiking was good thank you.

No contact with campground operating staff. Dump station closed and no prior warning, a definite problem for campers planning to utilize it.

From the campground hosts and camp store to the rangers, Pinnacles is an impeccably run facility with clean bathrooms and campsites. This says nothing of the beauty of the park itself which is one of our favorites in Central California. Thank you for making Pinnacles such a great place for families and friends!

When I arrived late at night to the site I had reserved, someone was in my site. It turns out that the personnel running the campground did not put up the sign indicating that the site had been reserved. Because it was late at night and the people in the site were asleep, I had to set up in another site. Even worse, I had to move all my stuff in the morning to the site I had reserved. This was not the fault of the people in the site, but rather the campground management because they did not put up the reserved sign. They apologized, but also said that they have been having lots of problems lately with getting the reservations correct. I was upset by this situation because you cannot talk to anyone until 9:30 am, which is too late.
