I loved my stay! I camped in at Pinnacles Campground in late October and the weather was perfect then not too hot during the day (if your campsite had shade), and not too cold at night. The campground was nice and quiet and the staff were very friendly. The toilets near my campsite were flushing ones and were very clean, probably the cleanest campground toilets I'd ever seen! I didn't use the showers or the pool, but both appeared super clean as well.I was worried about the raccoons, but I saw surprisingly few of them at night maybe it was too cold at that time of year? None of them approached my tent or picnic table, even though I did a bit of evening cooking. (I did have my cat with me, however, so maybe they were suspicious of her.) I did see plenty of deer and turkeys while walking around the campground during the day, which was a lovely bonus.

Oh my gosh. A swimming pool? Epic hikes you can access from the campground? Milky Way? Raccoons? Turkeys? Deer? Quail? CONDORS? Had them all. Pretty quiet after 8:30 pm when the group camp full of school kids were told to pipe down. Loud until then.

Outstanding park, clear dark skies, great hikes. Campground owned by 10 raccoons - beware! It would be nice if there were better facilities to wash camp dish gear.

Beautiful NP, limited amenities wrt number of guests. Nice there is a swimming pool, but not very clean. Road reconstructions were clearly mentioned upfront, but in reality planning didnt match the announcements

Pinnacles is my favorite National Park. I love coming here not just for the incredible rock formations, but for the magnificent oak woodlands found within the park, and the diversity of birds and other wildlife this ecosystem supports. I went for a walk on the South Wilderness Trail on Sunday (a day when the park filled to capacity) and only saw five other people in the four hours I spent moseying through, taking photos of shooting stars and enchanting oak trees. I also saw a bobcat on this trail--it was awesome! On Monday, I hiked up to the reservoir and spent a couple of hours nature journaling there. The campground was so quiet, and the dark skies were incredible. This is the first time I used the shower facilities here and they were excellent. I appreciated all the little shelves to put my various bottles and bar soap--which I didn't even need! If I had known shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided, I would have just left my stuff at home.

Pinnacles National Park was beautiful and the campground was nice. I stayed at Site 11A and it was perfect.

We loved our campsite. The raccoons ARE NOT AFRAID of you. They WILL aggressively try to get near the food source, so make sure to keep your cookware and food locked up! Fun hiking options. Will be coming back!

We stayed at the Pinnacles twice in one week. The tent cabin was convenient and clean, but as there is absolutely no shade for the cabin, car or picnic table, it was completely unusable during the day. A few days earlier, we stayed at at shaded campsite, which I would recommend for summer visitors.

Check in was easy, the campgrounds were clean and the bathrooms were well taken care of. We beat the heat with an evening hike to Mt. Chalone and then an early morning High Peaks hikewhich also gave us a sky full of soaring condors.

I had a very nice campground site with a good spot for a tent with privacy and plenty of space. Unfortunately the nearest restroom was closed on our second day for upgrades including installing a new septic tank and leach field with heavy construction equipment operating all day making a lot of noise. I was also informed that all the coin operated showers throughout the entire campground
were out of service. After the second day of loud construction noise and no showers we decided to leave a day early.

Very private sites. Wildlife seen roaming around. Facilities are reasonably clean, though we were disappointed about the lack of showers available during our stay. They were under construction, and notices were posted stating they'd be open by June. Would have appreciated more proactive notice communicating delays in construction to guests, rather than communicating no/false information.

This was a great campsite to stay at. The amenities were very close by while still having a healthy amount of space from your neighbors.

The tiniest NP is one of the best. It has everything. The trails are spectacular and the campground is quiet and peaceful. Love Pinnacles!

It's a great place to camp. The lighting in the campground is restricted at night, so you can really appreciated the nighttime sky.
The showers were closed for rebuild, but should be new and clean the next time we're there!

Site #11 was huge and fairly private. Campground is laid out nicely and though you could hear others in the distance, it was just fine. The land is very flat, which made picking a place to pitch a tent very easy. Bathrooms are spacious and clean with flush toilets!

Disappointed that the camp store is not open daily.

Campsite was spacious to fit a six person tent, a hammock, fold out chairs and there was plenty of room for another tent and more fold out chairs. Loved beautiful opportunity to star gaze at night! The pool was a bonus for young kids!

It was our first time in Pinnacles and so far it didn't disappoint other than dealing with raccoons every night at our site but it didn't really bother us at all due to the fact every camp site has a bear box to place food bins, we'll definitely be back again no doubt...

Pinnacles is a great park to explore over a long weekend. Our campsite, Site 11, was perfect. Lots of space and privacy from neighboring campers. Overall, a great trip. The reservoir hike is great.
@ShaunaU460 · Camped on Mar 1, 2021 at Campsite #11
We absolutely loved our 4 days at the Pinnacles! The campground, including restrooms, were clean and well kept. Our first night was in site 7. According to the reservation map, our rig should have fit. It was very difficult to get it in and level. Our next site was excellent! Perhaps sites should be reevaluated and updated on line.
My only complaint is, no generators. We have solar panels so we seldom need to use our generator. I use a CPAP machine at night and need to be able to recharge batteries. I do not like campers that use their generators all day, but specifying a few hours a day when you can use one would be very helpful!
Checking in was a little difficult as we had to find a place to park our rig and go into the general store. The lady in the store was less than helpful and barely cordial.
With all that said, we will return here to camp!
