People around us were so loud until midnight. We couldn't sleep. Then the raccoons, oh boy. The raccoons are not afraid of humans. I had to hit one with a stick because it wouldn't run away.

My family and I love visiting Pinnacles for its hiking trails and how convenient to get there. We have also camped here many times. However, this time was rather disappointing. We booked a group campsite with 20 of us total for nights. Within 4 of other sites nearby, there was no spigot for us to get water for doing dishes. We ended up using paper plates, paper cups and plastic utensils which was quite wasteful. Showers are a bit far. We were unlucky to be there during the heatwave (95 degrees!) and were hoping to use the swimming pool but it was closed. We did not see any park rangers at the campground at all. The first night, a group of campers next to us partied loudly until past 1am. Plus raccoons were so active that we barely got any sleep. I would come back for a day hike but don't think I want to camp here any time soon.

This campsite says it holds 20, but it was HUGE. Plenty of space on very nice FLAT ground. Plenty of parking nearby, restrooms were clean, and wonderfully dimly lit at night to not ruin our night vision. (The stargazing is phenomenal.) Well maintained trail *right there* that connects to the major trails we all know and love. I personally didnt use the showers, but I hear that toiletries were available (thank you!) and that the water was hot. I will ABSOLUTELY be back.

I reserved campsite 129. When we arrived the campsite was roped off with a sign "closed." No prior communication was given informing me of this. When we arrived we were told we were "lucky" that one campsite was still available. We were a group of 11 people! I have campsite 128 reserved in March and I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen. Clearly they have known that the campsite is unfit for being used due to the rain for weeks now and we've had the reservation for 6 months so they could have easily communicated the situation to us.

Our group campsite was a lot with no trees or shade. Unable to pull up. Attempted to get new site next day and while I went to look at only available site it was given away. Unable to see anything as u must hike moderate trails. We left!

Lovely campground. We fall hike was lovely and the perfect temperature. Bathrooms were very clean for a campground, and most visitors were excellent about mask wearing. It was also quiet and peaceful. The only reason I took off a star was for no fault of the camp. It was COLD!!! 30 degrees F! If you have an RV/van to sleep in, or if fires are allowed, stay there, but if you're a tent camper, I don't recommend it in November.

I don't write many reviews, so this will be short. Pinnacles exceeded my expectations. It was a great hiking experience. Though it is my understanding that it is best to be during Spring, Winter, or Fall. We went in November and really enjoyed our camping trip.
