This is a beautiful campground, but the bathrooms are way too far from the sites. And our 2nd day, the bathroom closest to us had to be closed due to a plumbing issue. I think more port a potties scattered throughout would be a good idea. ALSO sites 53, 54, and 55 are too close together. When we arrived at site 54, the tents from the sit 53 was within 5 feet of our table and they had two big tents. I think 53 and 54 should be one site, or reserved as a double site. Otherwise staff was great and the store was awesome.

The facilities, like the restrooms and showers, were great. Some camp sites are packed too closely together with little privacy. They also had a huge school group(s) that was non-stop noise until 9:30 pm. Not really a quiet night in the woods. It sounded like we were at a school football game all day long. Exhausting and lame when you want to get away.

We came up to Pinnacles for some meteor shower viewing and were not disappointed. Afterwards it was great to drive back to our quiet campsite and sleep the day away.

The Racoons were aggressively searching and stealing food. They ran through the camp all night long and even climping into Vehicles while we were loading up to go.

Enjoyed the hike to the ridge and down to the western entrance, and back via the Balconies trail.

Super nice campground experience, the park was excellent as always

The hikes are beautiful and the trails and well marked. For a national park, it wasn't busy at all. If you are going to do a day hike, I would recommend arriving early since there are not many parking spaces. The High Peaks hike is challenging but definitely worth the effort. It wasn't too crowded in late October and the weather was great for day hikes. The nights get pretty cold, so make sure to layer and have enough warm clothes/blankets for sleeping.

Had a wonderful time camping at Pinnacles. My only complaint is that the sites are pretty close together without any shrubbery or anything between them for privacy. But the park was gorgeous and the campground pool was so great in the heat!

This campground once again amazes - it has, hands-down, the BEST shower of all the NP campgrounds weve visited. It has great hot water, which is saying a lot for a California campground, its clean, and it has plenty of hooks. Plus this visit they had shampoo/conditioner/body wash just like youd find at a hotel . Incredible!

We arrived an hour and a half after the 2 pm checkin time, but there were still people in our site and we had to get people from the office over to the site in order to get them to leave. It then took them another half hour for them to pack and leave. This was just a really bad way to start the trip. The campground needs more Showers and the bathrooms were on under construction.

Beautiful campground setting, right at the gates of the Pinnacles Park. The park shuttle-bus service to the trailhead leaves right from the campground parking facility. The campground as well as most of the park has good cellphone reception.

Beautiful, well maintained campsite. Hiking trails with varying distance and difficulty to fit everyone's needs. 10/10, absolutely beautiful place!

Well run campground with clean facilities and friendly personal. Early March weather was perfect for hiking, and the trails are well maintained. As far as scenery in the park, the longer high elevation routes (High Peaks trail to Balconies cave trail, Old Pinnacles trail) really showed off the parks highlights. Will visit again, a gem found close to home (San Luis Obispo).

Nice campground, surrounded by trees, relatively quiet. Surprisingly great cell service for ATT

Beautiful campground with lots of nature and wildlife to enjoy. The grounds were clean, along with the bathrooms. The showers were closed for remodeling, wish we would have known in advance otherwise would have given 5 stars. It was great that they have a shuttle, which was easy to use. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back for another stay.

Watch out for poison oak, it's everywhere! And the raccoons, they will try to get into your vehicle or tent and they will swipe anything not nailed down, haha! Really tho, Pinnacles is an awesome hiking venue, beautiful and lush into May. Easy hikes and strenuous hikes. Campground loop C is more private and quiet than the other areas. Good showers for cheap.

Silent place, so we could sleep well. Ground was hard to push tent pegs into it. We will plan to go camping again in the next winter.

We had a terrific camping experience in Pinnacles! It was one area of California that was oddly not on fire or smothered in smoke which certainly contributed to our 5 +++ star experience. The staff there was terrific, following Covid-19 safety protocols and the campground clean and well maintained. There had been many cancellations and for the first time in my camping experience we the staff accommodated us in moving to more desirable campsites that happened to be vacant due to the cancellations. In the past I have always been told I'd have to pay a second time if I wanted to move to a different campsite than the one originally booked. If this is a general policy change to make our national parks friendlier a big hurrah to whomever had an attack of common sense. A HUGE shout out for the change in policy that allows people cancelling camping reservations to a partial refund. It was helpful to people coming at the last minute and to us, wanting to move campsites, to have those spaces going unused available to people who wanted them. Even when I had a reservation it I found it upsetting to see people turned away when campsites were going unused. It was even more irritating when I was the person looking for a site and it was clear the reservation holder was not coming (on the last day of a 5 day reservation??!)
