The campground is beautiful in winter! Would love to come back in spring. We used one of the electric sites for our tent, and the site was spacious and centrally located but equally a distance to walk for any restroom, but that's understandable because usually those sites are used for RVs. The shuttle service to the park f3om the campground on weekend days is very convenient, but the lines do get long so you may have to wait to get on. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back again. Very pretty hike to the resevoir through the caves and very unique landscape in Pinnacles. Definitely recommend!

This is trip number-----can't remember, to many, been coming since early 2000's. Came to see the Condors but they were not in residence this time. There roost tree is above rv slot #102 and is the scrawny, beat up pine at the top of the ridge. We saw no condors and it appears the turkey vultures have taken over the roost tree. We wonder if the paving project this summer and the constant school activity has forced them to move on. No matter, it just such a peaceful place, we love it.

Great campground. Our site, 102, had ample room and not too close to our neighbors. It is dry camping but water, the store and dump station are close by. Nothing better than waking to gobbling wild turkeys in the morning.Local hiking was amazing with the wild flowers adding to the beauty of the area. Our only frustration, as with many places weve visited post COVID, was the shortage of park rangers and volunteers. This meant some facilities and education centers werent open.AT&T cell coverage was great but my wifes Verizon was nonexistent.

Hiking was amazing. I was also nice to have 30 amps of electrical service while camping. I have used the dump station on past camping trips and it works great, but on my last visit it was backed up.

Great national park and a very nice campground. It was clean, peaceful and generally very nice. The spot that I had (102 or 103 I think) did not have any shade so be cautious and make sure to bring a pop-up or make plans to deal with the heat. The pool is nice but is fairly small for how many campers were there. Overall, I would definitely go back and would recommend staying here to anyone in doubt.

No Sewer no water but there is 30Amp, Water and dump stations.
Clear nights give great star views. Good hiking. Bring wood- it is very expensive.

Water hookups only at select sites. When I asked about filling up my tank with water, they instructed me to pull in front of another campsite, which blocked traffic for those coming into that loop. Very limited Visitor Center hours, closed 2 days a week due to only 1 staff member running it. The campground was beautiful and relatively quiet, but people drive way too fast on the main drag considering campsites line this road. The hiking nearby was great. The parking is very limited but the shuttle only runs maybe every 30 minutes. The caves were great!

Campground was well cared for, lots of water sources and really cool to be able to see condors riding the air currents above the nearby Mtn.

We arrived at the beginning of a big storm. The gravel campsite made it easy to manage set up and take down with flooding.
There was one site at the end of the loop that carried all the water. Luckily no one was camping in that site.
The trails and view were very easy to get to. You could drive to them or walk from campsite. No cell service was disappointing but yeah we are camping in a National Park. If it wasn't raining and blowing wind so hard we would have been out on the trails more. I hope to come back during better weather.

Limited parking by trailhead, will know for next time to go early! Our campsite wasn’t easy to identify-lines could be clearer for boundaries. Otherwise great experience.

If you are not a hiker, this is not the place to go. We did a short walk on the Moses Spring Trail as all we can do is EASY, being over 70, and the rock formations were nice. But if you just stay in the campground there is nothing to do and the pool closes at 6, very early. We were not impressed and would not recommend this park, but it was nice just to get away.

We loved the park! The campground, especially the tent area under the oaks, is lovely. The RV area is cramped and crowded by comparison. But it’s nice (and rare in a NPS campground) to have electric hookups. This is essential if you’re RV camping here anytime after April. When we were here May 9-12 it was 107 degrees F every afternoon. We went on hikes in the early AM and just before sunset and it was beautiful. We loved the Condor Gulch Trail and the Moses Spring/Rim Trail Loop.

Wonderful location and topography.
Campground was clean and well maintained.
Trash was picked up at regular intervals.

Adequate campsite. Showers were bad. One not operational the other took a while for hot water to come. Not a stellar experience. Bathrooms were not in the camp area but by the pool.

We've stayed at Pinnacles Campground twice, now, both times in the RV section, with our small trailer. Both times, it has been very quiet and clean. I should say, quiet except for LOTS of birds! Expect turkeys early in the morning, and we also had a very loud and persistent Saw-whet Owl who sang for hours both nights we stayed (we loved it!). The electrical hookup was a big plus, as it allowed us to use our microwave to heat up pre-cooked meals. We were pleasantly surprised, on this last trip, that the store hours had been expanded (now open every day, 9:30 to 5:00), and the store was very well stocked with essentials and quality camping supplies. We did not use the showers, but checked them out, and the shower houses were very well-maintained. My daughter joined us, and had a tent site, which was also very spacious and scenic.

This Park has always been one of my favorites. It has some majestic hikes with some interesting geological features. The new entrance gate is remodel is almost complete. Should be very nice once completed.

It seemed as though the campground was a separate entity from the national park. The camp store was overpriced and charged a fee for credit cards. The wifi was $7 a day PER DEVICE so if you need wifi be aware of that. The rangers were only on duty certain days and the camp store was not helpful in planning your time at the park. Overall, it was worth it to be able to stay in the park but it was not the normal welcoming environment you’d expect at a NP.
