The site was nice and quiet. It was big, enough for a big group of people to hangout. There was a grill pit. They sell the fire woods at the campground store.

This location was wonderful. The campgrounds were lovely and the one we selected in particular was a choice spot. We had a large group of 15 people and we did daily hikes for a couple days. The restrooms were clean. The market was convenient in the showers were fine. Would love to go back!

Clean and well maintained camp site with shower access and potable water. Our site had tons of shade and was set back from the road giving it privacy and solitude. Would highly recommend in summer in particular given the shade of the huge oak trees.

Great location! Clean, well maintained place, shop well stocked, complimentary WiFi at the shop. The only downside are short pool hours.

Very good and nearest campground to the bayarea. The hike trails are cool. Lot of raccoons in the night. Restrooms are okay.

Site 129 is INSANE with raccoons that surround and torment campers as they are cooking and washing dishes. They attempt to get into food bins even while we are there. I left the car door open for a minute and they ran all through the car. They stole food from right underneath us as we cooked. The campsite was strewn with litter and torn up food containers and boxes from the raccoons. We had to eat dinner with a second plate covering our food - the second we lifted the plates, the scrub jays dive bombed our plates and stole food right off of it. They hung out right above us in the trees watching and waiting. We took a walk through the campsite and heard almost every other site yelling at raccoons as well. Also, the temperatures were over 100 degrees and the pool closed at 6:00 pm. There were at least 10 other people in the pool with us in the evening, cooling down after a hot day, and a campground employee chased everyone out. 6:00 pm is very early to close the pool in the summer, when the sun doesn't set until much later and the temperatures are so high.

While the weather was very warm in late July with highs right around 100 every day, our campsites each had shade and hiking before about 11 am was pleasant. The pool was a perfect temperature to cool off in the afternoons. We were among few groups starting on Thursday, and the racoons were aggressive. They got into a regular cooler while we were all sitting about 10 feet away just after dark, and later got into a closed Yeti and took more sausage and eggs. Did I mention group campsites don't have enough room in the bear box for coolers? Take the racoons seriously and either lock your cooler, figure out how to stuff it in the locker or put it in the car as soon as the sun goes down. These racoons even went after beer cans, and fought viciously over their spoils at 4:30 AM right outside our tent.

Such an awesome campsite, nice and shady in 90 Degree heat. The campground pool is also great, along with good reception (first time this trip!) and electric car charging. Pinnacles provides a comfortable, modern camping experience.

We had the campground almost to ourselves as it was August. We got a site in the shade and surrounded by trees (though many of the pitches are relatively exposed). Toilets were very clean, and there was a pool to swim in when it got too hot to hike which was free for campers. The star gazing (and bat spotting) at the campsite is excellent, and many campers drove up to the trailhead to see more at night. The ranger at the local nature centre taught us about how to recognise different animals’ poop through the medium of a game. Be vigilant about raccoons and only cook/eat in daylight. Wear earplugs if you are wary of night scrabblers around your tent. And buy everything you need in advance as the shop is quite expensive.

Took the family here for a little Spring Break getaway. Campground is pretty spread out which is nice. We didn’t use any of the amenities (pool, playground, etc. but I would expect the pool would be a nice respite in the summer. Campsites close to the road are a little light on shade. The creek in the middle of the campground is great for the kiddos to explore while cooking/hanging out. Good amount of wildlife; we had a couple deer walk right by our car at the campsite, some quail pecking for acorns, and raccoons (make sure to put all the smelly stuff in the bear box or your locked car) trying to get at our food (they scared away pretty easily even if it startled the kids a bit). Pinnacles has some great hiking trails for all levels; my kids loved Bear Gulch. Overall, great experience.

Even at the end of November it was great. The park is birds kingdom, we even got to see two California condors flying not too far from us. Also appreciated the scenery of pinnacles, results of plates collision.

Second time visiting Pinnacles and it's my first time camping here: I absolutely loved it! The site was quite (for the most part) and HUGE, perfect for camping right now during COVID19. There were a few odd things:1) Driving to and from the campsite was awkward, tons and tons of people standing or walking in the middle of the road like if there wasn't a large SUV coming towards them and in some instances they would not move out of the way or off the middle of the road, which was weird 2) Too many people would pop into our site (#132) to stare at us (not sure why???) or some would even linger by our cars - I've been camping plenty of times and never experienced this 3) There were fire restrictions (no campfire or charcoal grilling) for weeks at Pinnacles Campground, however these were lifted on 11/26, but when we arrived at our site there was a metal sign on the fire ring stating "NO FIRES", however we were not told of the lifted fire restrictions until I asked the next day, 11/27, at the Pinnacles store. It would have been nice to know we could have had a campfire because it was freezing while we were camping. Aside from this it was a great experience overall and I would definitely come back!

Double check if you can have fire before arriving.

Amenities and campsite were great! The hiking trails and ranger's office were standouts for us. Great for group camping! The only small issue would be the raccoon problems at night. Just pack up all your food and you should be fine. Enjoy your trip if you are planning to camp here!
