Great campground. Sites are level and they have RV sites with power. (no sewer) Most of the roads are paved except most of the RV sites. Signage is iffy here. Lots of hiking close to the campground. Showers available with hot water and are free. Small camp store with sundries, t-shirts, and Collectibles.

The park is uniquely beautiful with it's many rock formations and the condors. The spring is a lovely time to visit, not to hot, everything is green and there were lots of wildflowers and other bushes in bloom. Our only compliant is the very minimal parking available for the various trail heads. Plan to get there no later than 9 am.

Not crowded at all in December. It would have been less expensive to just show up instead of making a reservation. Quiet and peaceful campground. We went on several great hikes'

What a wonderful 4 days of relaxing under an oak tree, climbing to caves and watching the condors soar. It was truly a wonderful experience. Great spot to relax with nature.

mid weeknight in mid December the campground was mercifully uncrowded. I'd guess that only one sixth of the sites out of all of the RV-powered sites were occupied. Lots of space, lots of quiet at night. NO GENERATORS NEEDED, yeah! More camp sites for RVs should offer plug-in shore power. This makes the place MUCH QUIETER... as it should be. My first time to plug in my van at a camp site. It works! It offered pair of 120V 20A as well as a single 30A NEMA outlets. There were 50A NEMA outlets which the camp host told me were inactive.Bathroom was a long walk, but nice and clean. Showers' water got hot nicely. And boy was it cold outside!

The best site next to a beautiful and huge tree. A wonderful night with a lot of stars.

Nicely shaded. Cell service very stable. It’s a bit further away from water faucet and bathroom but not a big deal. Watch out for squirrels den when building tent.

Had a major mechanical problem with our tow vehicle. As directed we parked our travel trailer in an overflow lot and updated the campground on our status. Law enforcement said our trailer was abandoned and would be empounded.

Condors made their appearance soaring above the campground every afternoon!
Lots of rare wildflower species on the Balcony trail.

I stayed five nights. The campground was clean and the sites were well marked. The site I used had a power pedestal and it worked well. The bathrooms and showers were clean, had decent hot water and pressure, and always had TP. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Our site was spacious and the campground was quiet. Check in couldn't be easier - you literally just drive straight to whatever your spot is, which they will have already marked with a piece of paper with your reservation details, and you can "check in" at any time (no gates close or anything) and also they won't give your site away if you end up coming late to your site; they hold it for you. Great to actually have fresh water and electricity at the campground, though we did have to drive over to the freshwater to fill our tank.

Nice campground with camp store and NPS visitor center. Because of the isolated location it would be nice to have access to wifi as part of the camp fees.

Maintenance manager Carlos was a real welcoming help when we pulled in. He guided my husband in backing up into our spot. The facilities were clean. The stuff in the Parks gift shop was very helpful with information on trails and plants.Opening the dump station at 9:30 AM seems pretty late for campers who need to get on the road early. We love the park.

A great place for camping in February, great weather, quiet camping in loop A. The hiking was great, High Peaks is not for the faint of heart. All in all a great place, nice people running the campground and clean facilities.

Having never been to the Pinnacles before. We were lucky to get a campsite within the park with electricity and a dump site available, I really enjoyed being submerged within the park. The wild turkeys that frequented the campgroundwere a lot bigger than I've seen often in Sacramento and we got to see a bobcat dash across the road! The talus caves on both the east and west sides of the park were a thrill knowing that the huge boulders could settle at any time; although they have been stable for thousands of years. The CCC trails are still in good shape and sable to rely on as I used them with all my weight when I often needed them, The carved steps were a blessing to get up the steep and damp cave sides. I asked the ranger many questions when i visited the Bear Gulch Information and they were well educated on the geology, rating of the hikes, where to sight the California Condors and current seismic readings. The best time to visit is in the winter when the hills are green, the water is flowing, the night sky is clear and the air is cool and crisp: Also there very few visitors or campers in the winter. Lucky us.

The park is wonderful! We had a flock of wild turkeys that visited the camp ground every day as well as a herd of deer and got to see condors. Near dawn we would hear the coyotes. The main issue with the camp ground was that the bathrooms by the entrance and nearest the RV camping were closed and portapotties were substituted. The nearest working bathrooms were a good quarter of a mile away at the group campsite. It would have been nice to know that when we reserved our site. The other issue was that one camper decided to “entertain” the entire campground by playing their music loudly for a couple of hours. No one polices these sorts of things at the campground so campers are left to settle such issues themselves.
@YuTsengS526 · Camped on Nov 19, 2021 at Campsite #93
Pros: The campground was well kept and beautiful. The RV sites have a good amount of spaces in between.

Cons: the dump station was closed when we were leaving. The store said hardwood for fire, but delivered softwood.
