Plenty of space at the campsite, pretty flat which made it easy for leveling the trailer. Hot showers by the camp store were available at all times. No cell service.

Beautiful park the staff was nice and knowledgeable. The Bear Gulch trail was confusing because of intersecting trails. Could have better signage. Havent been to the campground in 7 years and it feels like the camp sites have gotten smaller! We still enjoy our experience; but felt like we were in our Neighbor's face! Showers were wonderful

Some lovely, non-strenuous walks right from the campground. Folks at the store/visitor center were very helpful and friendly. Showers were free and clean. Only disappointment was that all the facilities at Bear Gulch were closed up tight, due to no available staff. The cuts are hitting all of us.

The camp site was large and level. Plenty of space for our RV. This National Park has fabulous hiking trails. Parking at the trail head is almost impossible after 8:00 am, so plan to get there early.

First: The staff are **very** helpful and try their best to make your stay wonderful. They seem to have more latitude than some national parks and we were able to easily switch campsites. The tent sites are about 1000% better than the RV area and tent cabin area, which is basically a series of parking slots very close together with no privacy. We are lucky to be in a van that can stay in either tent or RV and were able to move from RV to a tent site. It is one of the more private sites - 129 - it has its own parking near the camp area (which was flooded while we were there, and this is why is was vacant and why we could stay there and sleep in the van). But without flooding it would be nice for a tent or two. Many other tent camping sites share a parking area and then you camp at your site in a field near other families. Aside from the camping area the rest of the park is great. It is a small space so fewer people can go, which is nice.

Our stay at Pinnacles was terrific as usual. The campground is well cared for and the people in the store and the park office are friendly and helpful. Hiking on the trails is great of course but even if weather makes it difficult to hike on the trails just walking around the campground is pleasant. Be aware that there is no cell service, but the wifi in the park is decent. You have to pay for it but it isn't expensive, we paid $10 for 7 days. The campground is simple, rural, and peaceful.

We loved the hikes nearby, especially High Peaks Trail, and the dark skies. Lots to do, including well-stocked gift shop and book store. Appreciated the alternative food options including vegan and gluten free. Definitely would come back.

There really needs to be a restroom in the RV loop.

Weather cooperated despite the raging storms both before and after our visit. Campground almost empty (again, due to weather), but our site was very nice. We saw condors, up close & personal, a rare and very exciting experience, we will remember Pinnacles for the condor sightings!

We enjoyed hiking in the park. Slept in the campground two nights. Sites are quite close together but worked for us.

We were camped in the electric hookup area. There was a huge rainstorm one night (Nov.). Our campsite was fine, but a least 1 was horribly flooded. WiFi is great, ATT users get cell service. New dump station rules are a bit clunky; leaving ID, getting key, returning key, reporting gallons dumped, especially when theres a long line. Staff is very friendly.

Firewood was very expensive for only 5 pieces. Site 87 was great, level and plenty of space. But site 88 is the winter with ample shade throughout the day.

We put in the address for Pinnacles NP into our GPS and unfortunately it took us to Pinnacles West (two hours roundtrip out of our way). The ranger at the station there said that this happens often. Would be nice if when reservations are confirmed that Pinnacles Campground BOLDLY spells out directions on how to get to their campground. Otherwise, we had a lovely time. We have a new Class C and Pinnacles was our very first stop.

Love that you can hike on the Bench Trail right from the campground. Really nice hike, and we saw almost no one on it.

Nice campgrounds, close but no worse than private campgrounds. Great hikes. Had a large flock of turkeys near our site each morning and evening, along with a coyote selecting his dinner. Pool wasn't open (and stated as such on website, no not a negative) and looked nice. Firewood is delivered to your site. Sites with power are 30amps only and old. Worked fine for 2 days, third day about 1/2 dozen of us with EMS surge protectors could not hookup because there was an open ground. Staff solution is remove surge protector. Ran off battery since we were leaving the next day. Water spigots spaced throughout, but need a water thief if wanting to hookup a hose to fill.

Great day hiking while experiencing changing of the leaves, a rarity in Ca.

Came to see the condors and also enjoyed hiking. We had electric hook up and it was fine. Dump was at capacity and closed Sunday night but reopened on Monday. You can only empty tanks when the store is open. 9:30AM to 5:00PM. Made an early departure an issue. Sites were all level and have a sand base. Water post scattered throughout the park, some with threaded faucets. They are electric only sites and water is available just not for hookup. We camped at Pinnacles Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The park was fantastic, great well maintained trails and the Condors were a real treat. I remember many years ago donating to help save the Condors.
The Campground was not very good. All dirt site and roads, not gravel, dirt, complete with lots of dust. The visitors center was open from 9:30 to 4:00. We got there at 4:20 on our first day hoping to get info on trails and places to visit. No such luck, why
The morning we were leaving we planed on dumping our RV at 8:30, guess what, not open until 9:30. Why?
The sites had electricity for every site but only had water that could only be used to fill our tanks. Did anyone think about installing water lines at the same time they ran the power lines. Why?
I had the feeling that customer service was a total afterthought. If it weren't for the draw of the beautiful park no-one would ever stay here.

We had a great time at the campground but it seems like the facilities could be improved.
There are not enough bathrooms in the campground and the added porta potties were very very dirty.
The store and pool are welcome and nice to have but maybe the National Park system could spend some money at Pinnacles to spruce things up.

The campground at Pinnacles is kind of bare and ugly. It is designed for cars or RV but not for people. The space should be rethought with visual barriers behind camps ( rocks, dirt and some fire resistant vegetation). I paid $60 per night and for that cost you expect something else. The park is great but it is not matched by the campgrounds.
@AudreyC867 · Camped on Mar 12, 2021 at Campsite #87
Great location to visit the park and hike. The Sites are spaced nice so you feel a bit of privacy. You are far away from restaurants and stores so come prepared, but the camp store is convenient in case you forget something.
