The tent cabin was comfortable and work out well. The other facilities were fine. The hiking trails were well marked and designed for easy travel, even the ones that gain significant altitude.

First time to Pinnacles and it was wonderful experience. We tried one of the camping tents with electricity. Liked the set up along with our own picnic table, fire pit, bear locker and ability to park next to the tent.Appreciated the bus to take us to either trail head (Old Pinnacles or Bear Gulch trail head) and pick us back up after a day of hiking and taking us back to the campgrounds. Rangers were helpful for navigation and encouraging on the trail!We will visit Pinnacles again!

Definitely an underrated park! The camping experience was amazing and the facilities (restrooms, showers) were cleaner than any other park I've been to. The deer were all over campsites and it really made our experience special. I will be coming back for more!

1. For the price of the cabin, it would have been nice to have sheets, pillows, blankets and towels included.2. It was quite a walk to the nearest bathrooms.3. The cabin across the way had about 10-12 people partying and staying all day and into the night. We never saw anyone actually patrolling the campground. It appeared that all these folks were staying overnight in the small cabin!

The tent was clean and the camping was remote. The night sky was beautiful. Our particular experience was not as great as good as it could have been because the replacing work taking place at the time of our visit.

The rangers were not friendly or present as in past visits. Their enforcement of rules was selective and inconsistent.We do not visit based on their community involvement, however positive interactions are always hoped for.

Tent cabin was clean and nice. Heater is of no value when the temps are so low in the morning.

We picked this site because it's close to the Visitor Center/Store and showers. I think if it were during the busy season (spring/early summer) it would be noisy but in late October, it was mostly quiet and not much traffic passing by. The potable water faucet and dish washing faucet were both nearby, as were the telescopes (next to Cabin #80).We saw a few condors, lots of turkeys, a few bunnies, and of course squirrels and raccoons around the camp site. The deer stay further out, towards the group sites near the Bench Trail and beyond. The turkeys will cross the roads so please drive slowly. Cons: there are these little brown bugs that like to cling on the curtains inside the cabin; flies and wasps will come for you and your food; fire restrictions were still in effect = no use of fire pits which would have helped with the bugs/insects.

A gem of a place. Camp ground is rustic and well laid out with lots room. I stayed in a heated cabin tent (love to see more) They could use a second heater. Hiked 20 miles over two days.The caves in both areas are great fun & a must do (Balconies & Gultch) Bring headlamp !! Saw lots wild life & couple condors. Store & visitor staff are friendly.

try to get to the park earlier than checkin so that you can take a short walk before settling in. The condor gulch trail is a must.

We loved every minute of our visit! Our tent cabin was cozy and the trails and park were gorgeous! We will be back!

Fantastic stay, fantastic National Park! We had a great time there and had no problem parking at the trailheads since it was winter and the weather was expected to not be great. It ended up being a beautiful day so we did two different hikes and did not need to use the shuttle service.

Great location to camp. Tent cabin has a food locker, but its a bit on the small size, average cooler wont fit. Cant wait to return here again for a get a away.

very friendly staff that helped us open our key box to our tent cabin. very clean cabin (had electric unit and wonderful w/ heater that was much appreciated during the cold nights). amazing and extremely knowledgable women (I believe she was previous ranger) who was able to answer all our questions and give us lots of helpful info. One cave (the bear gulch cave) was open while we were there and was pretty amazing- flashlights (or headlamps that free up your hands) very helpful. beautiful reservoir near this cave. for all hikes, recommend plenty of water, a snack, good hiking shoes, hat and know your abilities. Good to have trail map as many trails cross and interchange. we were there in fall and had lots of layers as we usually started in mornings (when it was cold) and on some days, it warmed up pretty good.
@MadelineM258 · Camped on Aug 13, 2021 at Campsite #81
The cabin was clean and easy to access. Temperatures will vary from about 100 to 45 degrees, so bring layers for overnight. Bathrooms are relatively clean and there are a lot of water access points available.

For first timer staying at the tent cabin, the key is in a lock box at the cabin and the code to the lock box is in the confirmation email.

We love what the NPS has done to the campground. Noticeably cleaner and more attractive than when it was before. Love the zero impact camping policies, and the new tent cabins. Very comfortable!

Now know why the tent cabins are called tent cabin. The cover is fabric and is not installed. Thank goodness for the heater. It was a short two night stay and plenty to do. So many nice trails of various lengths and challenges. We did the hike to the reservoir and we were amazed by the Beauty and of the variety of scenery.
