We were in site 55- it was nice and shady and in a quieter part of the campground. A lot of spaces are very open and exposed so make sure to pick the right one. Bathrooms were clean, showers were also clean (and free!), although the water is solar heated so we ended up with not-very warm water on an overcast day. The camp store is small but stocked with essentials, with the exception of beer and wine. The group sites were full of middle schoolers and they were LOUD but quieted down by 9:30 every night. Overall, a lovely experience with a low-key crowd of campers that respected each other's space and the beautiful surroundings.

Fantastic, warm showers. Clean campground overall. Friendly staff at camp store and visitor's center. Go early to park at trail heads. Take a headlamp for the caves. Be sure to get gas well before you enter the park and enjoy this underrated gem!

Booked winter camping spot night before. Campground was in good condition, 60 degrees was more than warm enough for comfortable day hiking and fire kept the campground warm at night. Staff at store/check in were helpful. Ran into park rangers multiple times on trails, also very helpful. Hiked from Moses Spring parking to Bear Gulch Reservoir through caves (about 2ish hours roundtrip) and High Peaks and Condor Gulch trails from Bear Gulch Day Use Parking (about 5 hours roundtrip), both very leisurely pace, both unreal hikes. Very good camping and hikeable features very accessible from campgrounds, especially at the given price. Would like to go back very soon.

The campsite was well maintained and the area was clean. We were fortunate enough to not have neighbors in the campground until the last night and enjoyed a very nice, secluded campsite. The only complaint would be the very persistent pack of racoons that would come around at night, which is to be expected at a campsite after a busy season. Overall, the facilities were clean and well maintained and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

We went to the Pinnacles while paving was happening in the campground. We were not able to get to our site until 7pm on the day we arrived. The day we left we had to be out of our site by 8am to be sure to be out before the paving continued. The contractor didn't adhere to the posted schedule so no one was sure what area would be paved next. Seems like it would have been much more efficient to just close the campground altogether until paving was complete. Other than that the park was great. Wonderful hiking trails, good facilities and lovely sites. Will definitely return.

The Pinnacles is so underrated and Im fine keeping that secret! We had a few sites on Loop C that got a bit muddy with the intermittent rain but overall we had a fantastic time. Camp store had lots of firewood so all good. Clean restrooms, hot showers. Excellent hiking as always - but get to trailheads EARLY! Avoid weekends if you can.

We stayed in a small trailer (22') in site 55. It was a squeeze, but we made it. The sites are well maintained, bathrooms are clean and the store is a nice touch. Really enjoyed exploring the trails nearby. Will definitely be back!

Showers are located in the parking lot for day use. Way too crowded for campers to shower as it is also used by hikers as a bathroom. Why isnt the showers located closer to the campground?

Pinnacle National Park is hidden California gem. The campground has diverse spots that accommodate all kinds of needs. The staff is helpful. The trails have so much beauty to offer and a sense of adventure.

So amazing! No wonder they made it a National Park!Beautiful terrain with interesting cavesand boulders.Deer, stellar jays, tarantula and even a bald eagle!Park is in grwat shape and clean. We camped in the campground and swam in the pool!Only negative was the staff at the the store and bookstore. Okder women that seemed to be tired of their job and made the most minimal efforts to engage us. We had to little boys and expected more welcoming energy. There was a younger woman the next day with a smile and friendly helpfulness.Even the ranger we saw smiled.I gave it five stars because its an amazing little gem in our area of California. I should have given 4 stars for the original lackluster employees we encountered , but we wont let that ruin our memories.Carmel fam

Many shady spots, lots of privacy. Free showers were a nice bonus

Favorite trail: Old Pinnacles to Balconies Cave, relatively flat, shaded, lots of birds, flowers, peaceful Park staff very helpful and solution oriented Hate all the port o potties in campground (in transition) Lots of large groups of kids camping in May-noisy!

The campground has changed the site numbers in order to fit in more sites, and this was not done with thoughts about the camping experience. We were in site #55, and a site had been added in between us and another site, so we were all on top of each other. To make matters worse, the camp host never came by to see how the sites were being used. The people next to us had 4 cars, over 16 people, and 4 tents. They were never cited or asked to change to a group site.

The bathrooms were not well kept, cleaned only once a day. There were two showers: one was out of order, and the other was filthy. The swimming pool is posted as being open only to campers, but no one monitors it, and the pool was being used by hikers and other visitors.

It’s a beautiful location, but maintenance and supervision are poor.

I’d like to start by saying I am by no means one of those people who come to national parks to camp & panic because I arrive & realize I have to sleep outside. I am an avid camper & hiker. I frequent national parks & love camping in the parks. I have no issues paying a somewhat high fee for a square of dirt to pitch a tent. Especially considering that money should* be going to the park to maintain facilities for others to enjoy. With all of that being said, in paying that fee I expect at least a toilet within a min walk of my site & a shower that works.
This was the absolute worst national park camping experience ever. Our site didn’t even have a spot to pitch a tent. We had to encroach on our neighbors real estate just to put up a small three person tent. Thankfully we didn’t have anything bigger. There was no toilet even remotely close to our site… which I guess isn’t a huge deal. I’m not above a wild wee outside, but when I say it wasn’t close I mean it really wasn’t close. Like quarter mile not close.
My main issue was with the shower. There was one shower facility for the entire campground (which is massive by the way with 100s of tents, cabins, & RV sites). In this shower facility there were 2 showers & 1 was broken. So to help you with that math, there was 1 working shower for hundreds of sites. That 1 working shower was ice cold at all times of day. If I really think about where I am & what it means to shower while camping, I can forgive the lack of multiple shower facilities (drought maybe? But then there is a pool?) & I have traveled through South America… I can do a cold shower (not happy about it, but ok). But this facility was completely rotting & rusting away. The bottom of the stalls were legitimately disintegrating due to rust. It was disgusting! Where is my money going?

Love Pinnacles and have returned many times. Other than a noisy group across the creek our first night (till 11 pm), we had a lovely time in our camp site. The two days we had for hiking were spectacular. Made several Condor sightings during our visit and found everything to be very congenial. Picked up a couple of books and some beautiful note cards at the store.
