Do not miss the Condor Gulch and High Peaks Trails. We saw 7 condors and 1 of them very close. During our stay we saw turkeys, lynx, rabbits, dears and quails. Amasing and relax park.

The campground is well kept, in a very nice setting. To get the most of the park one needs to walk the trails. It should be noted that generators are not allowed in the campground. If you need power there are sites with hookups.

Plan to get to trailheads very early as parking areas are small. If shuttle is available, use that and carpool as much as possible.

We had an amazing trip to Pinnacles. Great hiking. Not much else to do there. Make sure you bring what you need, other than the camp store, there isn't much else out there.

Good campsite. The toilets near campsite 30 gurgle whenever other toilets are flushed - nasty surprise for anyone seated on the toilet.

Excellent trip all around. A little hot in August, but that is to be expected. Caves were "cool" though!

We had an excellent time. The campground was a perfect mix of having plenty of amenities (like showers, a store, firewood, etc) while still being quiet enough that we felt like we were out in nature. We even got to fall asleep to the sound of frogs every night. Highly recommended!

this campground is in need of a maintenance crew . this has been a bad winter but you do have to maiintain the park .. i had not been there in some time... must have imagined it as a wonderful place . if you are not in great shape the hikes are steep , old pinnacles trail works if you just want to see the valley ,overpriced store with really nothing but microwave stuff .. one freezer with chicken hamburger bacon would help greatly , seriously they did not even have hot dogs .... .. if they do get some of these items be prepared to over pay ,,, camping was 44.00 a night . run down old campground ... miles from any hike

ildflower display was down early April due to drought. B loop bathrooms are under construction and only portapotties are there. That would be OK (not optimal) but they did not bother to fill the water for the wash station when it ran out on the weekend despite repeated asking. I think this is because that is the duty of the contractors who are redoing the bathroom and, of course, the contractors take the weekend off. This is a health issue so make sure to bring your own soap and water or alcohol soap - some stalls had alcohol soap, some did not.

If you are camping in the rv loop, be forewarned - the bathroom is a half mile round trip walk (1/4 mile each way), and there is only one stall. Hardly what youd call convenient. Using the dump station requires a walk to the store, for the key, and leaving an i.d. Things to keep in mind.

The wildlife here is wonderful. We saw several condors and deer, before we even left our site. There are some nice hikes too. On the down side, the sites are pretty close together. The camp store was one of the best I’ve seen. They had some really neat items for sale.

Our campsite had no shade whatsoever. Other than that, we had a great time.

Nice camping close to the Pinnacles but didn’t realize that you have to drive to get to most trailheads or be prepared to add a couple miles to your hike from camp. The parking fills up so you have to go early morning or later day which works because it gets hot. Would not recommend a summer trip there. Carry water and leave your pup at home. Many sites are close together so choose wisely or travel with friends. Clean bathrooms and friendly rangers. Oh and lots of stars at night!! Beautiful!

On our recent visit, the skies were blue, the autumn colors vivid and the nights very chilly. The Pinnacles is a great place to see stars.

Ronnie and Joyce are amazing camp hosts, they deliver wood to your campsite! The folks at the store are super nice and helpful. The public bathrooms are always clean, facilities are great. Awesome place to camp at.

Nice campsite with swimming pool for visiting Pinnacles NP. Near the Balconies trail, three condors flew right above us. Amazing!Parking at Old Pinnacles Trailhead is limited, so try to arrive early.

This was our first time to this campground and we went during the first part of August. It was very hot during this time so something to think about when planning your trip. We stayed in campsites 29 and 30, which backed up to a hillside that our kids were able to climb up and down on. There is not much to say about the campsites themselves, as they are pretty basic. Our sites were pretty wide open with not a lot of shade cover. The campsite was dirt with mostly native weeds. I did notice a lot of ants in our campsite, although we never had trouble with them getting into our food or tent. If you do plan on taking a travel trailer with you, make sure you are aware of its limitations in regard to space and clearance. The roads around the campsite are narrow and several of the sites would be difficult to back in a larger trailer. We happened to take ours, which is approximately 25' long and although we were able to back into campsite #30, other sites around us would have been very difficult to back into due to narrow roads and adjacent trees and shrubs. There is an RV section within this campground so if you do plan on taking a larger trailer, I'd recommend reserving a spot there. There is a pool onsite, but it was not open during our stay due to filter issues. Keep in mind that the general store closes early, approx. 6 pm. One of the attracting features of the NP is the hiking trails and caves. There is a shuttle that will take you to the trailheads, but the wait time was rather long. I'd recommend going early in your own vehicle to snag a parking spot in the lot near the trailheads. Food securing is key as many nighttime animals will have no shame trying to snag anything you leave out. Overall it was a nice campground, perhaps a different part of the year the campground itself would have been more pleasant to look at. The trails are the best part of the NP and even if you didn't stay in the campground a day trip to hike the trails is worth it.
