One of our best camping trips ever! The campsites are generously sized with food lockers to keep critters safe. The no cost showers are improved from our visit 3 years ago with excellent shower products provided. The trails are well maintained. And the camp store is well supplied.

Cold,cold nights for tent camping but spectacular weather for hiking, birding, identifying flowers Love the lesser traveled trails too

Judging from the picture and maps, I reserved campsite #10 for proximity to toilet and water faucet and privacy but when we got there, we found the water faucet had been removed and a fence had been built around open grass area which we had to go around. The fence looked at least a couple of years old but not shown in RECREATION.GOV picture. Men's bathroom was OK but lady's bathroom was impeccably clean, I was told. We did not take advantage of free hot water shower but it is wonderful offering. The store had most things you forgot to bring and sandwiches looked great. Food locker at campsite was helpful since the campground was full of wild animals, squirrels, raccoons, deer, wild turkeys etc. Not many campers on weekdays this time of the year. Certainly not tent campers. All RVers. It gets really cold at night. Weather app showed mid 40's at night but actuality it must have been around 30 since water froze overnight. Over all, it was a good place to stay specially there is no hotel nearby.

This is our third (and probably last sadly) trip to Pinnacles NP. The racoons are out of control. They swarmed (12+) over our campsite and are not scared of people, dogs, etc. First evening they opened the zip of one tent and trashed the inside (while we were sitting 5 yards away). My friend needed to sleep in his car thereafter. Second night door of our van was left open for 15 seconds and three got in and trashed the inside. Other campers had similar stories. No warnings from front desk on check in.Shame, because it is a beautiful park, the condors are spectacular, and the night sky is difficult to beat in California when there is a new moon. Also the hike thru the caves and to the top of the "pinnacles" are outstanding. The campsite is otherwise clean and well maintained and the pool is good as well.

This is a hiking park, and the hikes were great! Good trail conditions, varying distances and terrain. We were on a little loop in the campground of tent campers and it was clean and quiet.

Clean, easy to find get around, nice sites. Beautiful park and amazing hikes. The caves are amazing but I brought a toddler and that maybe wasn't the best idea.

The sites are all very nice, and the showers & restrooms are exceptional. We love the hikes at Pinnacles.

Loved it. Spot 10 was great, but #11 looked amazing. The whole place is great. Nice staff, though they seemed a bit worn down from all the idiots. Lots of wildlife. The hike to the balconies was incredible.

Bathrooms and showers were good. Soap and shampoo provided. The visitors center and camp store was great. Our site was level and clean. It’s quiet and very dark. Bring a headlamp.

We arrived to find that the campsite we reserved was in the middle of a construction zone. There were heavy earth movers working directly in front of our site (about 30 feet away). We were told it was an ongoing project to replace septic tanks. Thankfully, the gentleman working at the check-in desk found another site for us that was not in a work zone. That saved our trip. After relocating, we really enjoyed our stay at Pinnacles. We will visit again.

The park is gorgeous but the campground is overpriced, given the meager amenities - I understand that the showers are being rebuilt, but it would seem fair to reduce the price given the lack of running water. And the women's restroom in the loop I camped in was clean but in poor repair - lights were out of order. And no place to hang a towel or bag. A bench or some hooks would be helpful for those using the bathrooms. I was disappointed that the visitor center was not open on the day I visited. I had hoped to speak to the rangers. Regardless, the scenery was amazing and this is a national treasure worth visiting.

Hidden gem of a National Park and campground!
@RondaB309 · Camped on Jun 20, 2021 at Campsite #10
Park does not meet expectations for National Park. Campground is dirt parking lot, very little shade. RV dump station was locked.
@YajingX585 · Camped on Jun 13, 2021 at Campsite #10
Some campsites are not shady enough, which makes a June visit not that comfortable. The swimming pool is definitely a plus. The ground was so hard that we can hardly stake our tent.

Great hiking and very chill campers. Could hear a pin drop at night. Got short changed by the camp concessionaire store cashier (not the NPS store) so mind your change if paying cash. Check out the homestead house and barn at sundown. Gotta be haunted.

Fantastic! Cold at night in mid-February, so bundle up if you're tent camping, but what sights. I want to come back with a buddy and a trad rack.
@JohnT668 · Camped on Feb 19, 2021 at Campsite #10
If you plan to start your day hike from one of the trailhead parking lots, then I would suggest that you arrive early as the lots fill up quickly.
