The campground is kept very well and the people that work in the park are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Of course seeing both sides of the park is wonderful, whether hiking it or driving.

a lot more trails than I thought there would be. Glad we came!

It was unusually hot during our stay and with only 30 amp it was difficult to keep the trailer cool. My husband and daughter enjoyed a hike to the reservoir. We also hiked out to the homestead. Saw lots of turkey vultures but no condors. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The dump station is tilled the wrong way so getting a through dump was impossible.

Enjoyed our stay. Site 113 was great. Long site, field next to it so didn't have someone on either side of us. Th campground store was well stocked. We needed some eggs and they had them. Campground staff were pleasant and helpful. We hiked the Old Pinnacles, Balconies, Juniper, high peaks and the blue oaks loop. It was listed as an 8 mile hike but my Fitbit GPS said it was a 10 mile hike. Great loop. We enjoyed our stay.

Always delighted to viva Pinnacles National Park. The wildlife sightings are exquisite and the hiking can be easy or challenging depending on your choice. Spectacular scenery and never too crowded. Love camping here (choose your timing carefully as it can be quite hot in the summer). Campsites are spaced well and there is something for everyone from tent campers to RVers to tent cabins. Showers are free, clean and water is hot. Visit here at least twice a year!

Very un-friendly place, from the women at the front desk, staff, and Park Rangers. Worst experience I have ever had in my 20 years of RVing.

Campground was good! Small, quiet respectful campers. The only item is the dump tank process, a bit silly with ID and key check in/out. Thankfully they were upgrading their tanks right after our visit. I hope this will result in smoother process.

We staying at Pinnacles Campground, site 112, electric hook ups and water close by to fill the RV tank, which was excellent because it backed up to trees and is only flanked by one other RV site. On the other side is the entrance and parking for the amphitheater, which was not in use. Wife hiked the Condor Gulch Trail alone bc there are NO DOGS allowed on any trails. Kind of a bummer, but I get it. The views from the hike were nice and the hike was moderate. 2 mi. RT, unless you want to hike further. There are A LOT of trails. Pink sunrise and misty mornings made for unusual and delightful sights. We only saw a bit of the east side of the park. I would go back. The people in the campground store were very nice. They had clothing and stickers and all of the other goodies you might need if you forgot something at home. Caution, the map on this site is not exactly correct with the site numbers. There is an inner ring and an outer ring for RV campers. 112 is on the outer ring. Inner ring sites back up and face each other, which is fine if you're in a group, but maybe awkward if you're around strangers. There is plenty of space between rigs tho. It rained one day and a few of the sites were swimming holes. 112 was not.

I didnt see camp hosts, but the Store employee was so helpful. We lost power and she didnt get annoyed when every camper would visit throughout the day and ask the same question, "When will power be restored?" She always had a smile and would answer with the latest info. As for the facilities, they were clean. The bathrooms are far, sure. But we also dont have them right next to our site. The showers were clean, hot water plentiful. We were in an electric site (112). In winter the trees shade it in the morning, so if I were going again I would choose a campsite across the road to get early morning sun. Winters are coooold, but the days are beautiful. The streams were running, the hawks were hunting, and the bunnies came out at dusk. Didnt see any condors (dag nab it!), but we hiked a lot of the park and had no idea how much diversity and beauty there was outside Hollister. Mind blown. Bear gulch and balconies caves were awesome. High peaks trail has lots of climbing but is so cool. Narrow stairs, magical views. We only stayed 2 nights, and that was enough to do a 9 mile hike one day, and a 10 mile hike the next, driving home after the 10-miler. Get an early start because each day we hiked a few miles more than we actually planned. You can start hiking from the campground, which we did when we hiked to Bear Gulch. But it adds almost 4.5-ish miles (by my recollection and from our campsite RT) to the hike, and there's not much to see. To pick up the Bench Trail from the campground, just walk to the end of the campground, near site 134. Note that a December trip with an electric site and a heater was perfect. We visited about 10 years ago during the summer; it was hot and the yellow jackets were out of control. So beware of summer trips to Pinnacles. Winter and spring would be the best times to go imo. Must See: Bear Gulch Area + reservoir (hike a loop); High Peaks Trail (we hiked from Old Pinnacles TH to High Peaks, then...); Balconies Cave.
