I do not recommend this spot during the summer or during periods of heat waves. You will be exposed to the sun through most of the day.Cell coverage: Verizon users will have no cell service but my gf with ATT had service.

The visitor center and camp store could be open earlier. More bathrooms and cleaner showers are needed. Camp sites were very nice.

Campsite 31 late September, great location with lots of wildlife nearby! Families of deer, turkeys, near bathrooms but not too close

Septic work in progress, so some dust and noise. Otherwise was a great place to stay for our visit to Pinnacles National Park

The campsite was clean and plenty of room for a large tent. Bathroom was clean and stocked. The best amenity is the pool which is free to campers. We hiked the Moses Spring Trail and it was an interesting hike. We waited until the late evening to hike it, and took advantage of the shade present along the trail at this time. The reservoir at the end was a neat surprise! We just had an overnight stay, so we didn't have alot of time to explore the other trails. I have been here before and hiked the high trail which gives a great overview of the entire park.

Loved my time at the campground. Middle of week so things were quiet, but campsite was clean, bathrooms were clean and we had a great time.

Well run campground. Many of the campsites are quite open with little privacy or shade but there are some nice ones that have both. The camp store has basic supplies otherwise make sure you bring everything you need because it is a long drive back to Hollister if you need something.

Lovely, easy to navigate, not too crowded in August. So many California Quail & fawns in the morning!

Pinnacles Campground remains well maintained. Our tent site had two picnic tables and plenty of room for our tent and two vehicles. We specifically avoided the sites with electrical hookups as the appear too crowded with RVs to be practical for comfortable tent camping. There are new (to us) tent cabins in nearby sites that would appeal to folks straddling between tent and RV camping. Also, we found upon arrival that the restroom building near our campsite was closed and replaced by portable toilets, a bit of a surprise.

Good hiking, and biking was good from campground to the trailheads. The mountains were beautiful, and the people running the campground and store were very friendly.I had a very nice stay for 5 days, and plan to go back for more trails. The only problem was the digger squirrels, which can get into your engine compartment and eat wires and hoses. Keep your hood up when parked.Wi-Fi was very good at the RV sites only.

Many campsites are laid out well. The noise from rowdy groups travels far in the campground. Restrooms & showers were clean. Beware that the camp store may open late and close early. Handy location for hikes.

Pinnacles is kind of a unique NP: there's a pool, the campsites aren't particularly wild or rustic, etc. As someone who appreciates hiking and geology, however, Pinnacles is excellent.
