Please notice park users if there is a 'no fires' action in place! I wasnt able to stay at the campsite I reserved because I could not cook my dinner!

The camp site was great. Plenty of sun and shade. Clean. It was also fun watching the raccoons steal over campers food. Lolz. My son and I will return and bring the rest of the family next time.

Raccoons are rampant. Some of the population should be trapped and relocated before people get hurt. Trees in some campground areas are heavy laden with limbs. Again, before someone is seriously injured the trees should be dealt with. Otherwise, good experience. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff.

Excellent campground, well-kept, and large spaces for tents and/or trailers. Facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly. Free showers located next to the camp store and pool but beware, it can get busy on weekends since it is accessible to the public (day use and hikers) and not only to registered camp guests.

When I arrived at my camp site after a 6 hour drive, and very tired, there was heavy construction be done directly across from my site. There was no warning that this was going on when I booked otherwise I would have picked another site. There were no rangers to consult either. The noise and activity did end after 5:30 but picked up again at 7am sharp. Tractors, Back hoes, bulldozers and many dump trucks and pickups. Not cool Pinnacles.

Beautiful area; long drive to get there. Went for hike in morning, and was glad because fewer people and cooler weather. Camping sites vary -- some quite big and nice, others smaller and less shaded.

We liked the spaciousness of the site (#7). Despite the rainy weather throughout our stay, tent camping was manageable with a canopy tent above our regular tent. A dish washing station outside or near the restroom would've been helpful. Also, either a hand dryer or a paper towel dispenser in the restroom would've been nice. Lack of visitor center facility (unclear whether it was temporary or permanent) was a little disappointing. We did enjoy the hiking trails, and the trail signs were very clear throughout the park, which were very helpful.

Didn't actually camp at Pinnacles campground - I got there, realized that Pinnacles was smaller and less interesting than I had hoped, and decided to get a hotel. The campground'S appearance (dry, empty) was part of my decision.

Not clean the bathrooms are fair, lots of animals want your food...other more visited parks really enforce clean campsite regulations...its very obvious that is not the case here

Campground and facilities were very nice. Only reason I docked a star was I made a reservation in advance and when I showed up the site was "open" and not "reserved". Luckily my reserved campsite had not yet been occupied.

We are regular visitors to the west side day-use area, but this was our first camping experience in Pinnacles. It was also our first summer trip; we normally hike the Park's trails in December, January, and February. We were tent camping, and it was just too hot. Our camping site (slip 6) had very limited shade from about noon to 6 pm. With a different site, we would have had a much better time. We also had an issue with yellow jackets inviting themselves to every meal. For tent camping, try sites 7-12. They all had better shade than what we had.

We loved the campsite. It was so close to the toilet, which was surprisingly clean. We were visited by some blue birds during the day and raccoon at night. It was our fault for cleaning up the picnic table. I guess the raccoon came to clean up while we were sleeping. The Milky Way was visible, just barely. Oh we heard howling of wolves!

We had an okay time during our stay. We liked the interesting landscape, large campsites, clean bathrooms, and well-stocked camp store however due to COVID there were a ton of disappointments. We had been camping at other campgrounds around this time and everything else was operating with full service, but I suppose because this was a national park there were many more restrictions. During our stay the pool was closed, the road to the trailheads was closed (adding an extra 2 miles on to any hike), the caves were closed, and on top of that a burn ban was put into place during our stay. The wildlife is EXTREMELY ACTIVE here! The raccoons were vicious and uncontrollable even with food put away, and hawks, coyotes, boars, turkeys, and rattlesnakes were also out in the park during our stay. Overall, was extremely hot and miserable and would not recommend staying until they resume normal amenities.

Keeping the park open was awesome. The people working there were great!
