Wonderful campsite. Very aggressive raccoons. Swimming pool was out of order.

Tent cabins are great! Super clean, generous size, well maintained. Solar charger worked in our tent cabin but only could do one phone. Bathroom was clean and close by. We loved the whole trip- did some hiking, uke playing, relaxing. My phone got satellite text messaging!

We stayed at site #25 (camping cabin). The cabin was spacious and clean, equipped with a broom and floor fan. There was a good sized food locker outside the cabin and a water spigot just outside. Pinnacles is beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. The campground is in a clearing so you can see the stars in the sky at night really well. There were a few issues with our stay to make note of:(1) The trash disposal area is a bit hidden in this area. Campers kept asking each other where to find the dumpsters as it's not marked on the map. There is a large area around the restrooms. If you go on the street past the restroom area you'll find the trash and recycling along some bushes.(2) The camp store ran out of firewood. They said they had more coming in the next day, but be prepared that they may not always have enough supplies on hand.(3) The parking lots for the trailheads are very small. If visiting during a popular time, you will need to get to your starting destination EARLY. Otherwise, plan to add a couple of miles each way if starting from the campground. On the plus side, the trail that starts from the campground is lovely. We saw several deer on the way to our trailhead. (4) They no longer have shuttle service to the trailheads. If traveling with small children, or folks who aren't avid hikers, adding in the extra mileage to hike to your trailhead may be too much for them. Plan to get to the trailhead parking area before 8 AM to up your chances of getting a parking spot. Our trip was the last week of March and we were delighted to find both caves were open! We also took the scenic High Peaks Trail and saw condors along with spectacular views of the park. Pinnacles is an incredible place to visit, I'm happy I went!

Very nice cabins! Some of the best weve stayed in at a National Park. Be careful because they do not retain heat at all. The temp inside at night will be as cold as outside. Only complaint overall is the lack of shuttle bus on weekends because parking lots at hiking areas filled up by 8:30am.

We had a peaceful week camping at Pinnacles. The campground was nearly empty and we had most of the trails to ourselves. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Moses Springs trail during the hotter parts of the days since most of the trail is shaded. The first half of the balconies trail is exposed, as is the return trip on the High Balconies trail.

The pool is a nice, cool, respite from the temperatures and the gift shop is great for basics and some nice camping supplies. The raccoons are overly ambitious in trying to steal from any unattended food. Even inside the car if left open.

We were visited by a large cozy of Quail each morning who were searching in the leaves under a large deciduous oak next to our camp. The tent cabin was very comfortable and very welcome after hiking all day in the rain and drizzle. We had a wonderful time on the trail that circled the peaks. And we were thrilled to see condors.

We stayed in one of the tent-cabins, which worked out perfectly for the 3 of us. It was just as described, 2 Twin beds and 1 Queen. Bring your own bedding. There is not any insulation in the tent-cabin, so be prepared. Two chairs, a dining table, and a firepit were available. The firepit was not available for use, at the time, due to high fire danger. We brought a propane firepit with us, which was allowed. There are flush toilets and cold water at the bathroom sink as well as potable water faucets. There is a general store that seems to be well-stocked. There is one shower that took quarters in the women's bathroom near the pool. The shower is in desperate need of an upgrade, but I was in desperate need of a shower... We cooked outside with propane stoves and dined at the large camp table. I would recommend a tablecloth. There are many critters at this campground, especially raccoon food-robbers! Put everything away each night either in your car or in the animal-proof cans provided or you will get unwanted visitors. Close your car doors at all times, especially at night. We had to shoo the bold raccoons away from an open hatch that was only about 15 feet from where we were sitting! There are bathrooms at the base of the main hiking trails including filtered water. Parking is limited, especially on the weekends, so I would recommend a mid-week visit. Pinnacles hiking is what we came for and we were not disappointed.

The tent cabins were clean and well maintained. The Park is gorgeous and well worth the trip.

One negative is that one of the showers was out of order and there was only one woman's shower for the entire campground when we were there. But the water was hot.

Must say I had a great time besides the hassles. We arrived after hours but our key was not left in the lockbox so we couldn’t get inside our cabin. We got in touch with the ranger by the skin of our teeth. There’s no cell service and the only pay phone wouldn’t take coins but couldn’t make collect calls?????? Well we are witty and we saw there was “pay by the minute” wifi so we were able to place a quick wifi call from our cell phones. But damn it was scary sitting in the dark after going to the wrong entrance with our four year old and discovering that no one prepared for your reservation despite the after hour protocol that was outlined in the emails. But we had a nice time after everything worked out.
