What an amazing park. We camped in the rv electric section. Quiet neighbors and decent facilities. Showers are free. Hiking up to the peaks was spectacular!

Roads are in poor condition. Only 2 shower stalls for whole campground and they are in poor condition. There is a shower trailer that was locked the whole week. Many dead and dangerous trees in middle of campground.

Failing to fully read the description of the campsite, we came with empty freshwater tank. Luckily, there is a threaded faucet near the canvas cottages labeled "Drinking Water", so we were able to fill up there before pulling into our spot. We arrived Christmas day for 3 nights. It was so peaceful and quiet. Arriving after dark made backing in a little tricky but the full moon and flashlight helped. The public bathrooms are a bit of a walk if you're tent camping. Showers never got warm - but that was mid-day so early morning might be different. The little store and visitor center were well stocked with basic necessities as well as some really nice souvenirs. The area is known for some wonderful hiking trails, caves and condors. Don't be fooled by the buzzards - they hang around there as well. Sadly, we didn't get to see the majestic beasts. The parking is limited so if you plan on cutting a few miles off your hike I'd suggest getting an early start to drive up to the upper parking. We didn't make plans to hike so we weren't too disappointed, and we enjoyed a picnic at the lower parking lot with a wonderful view. Upon leaving, we only had a short wait at the dump station. The town of Hollister is about a 30 min drive north. There were several wineries along the route, however only open on weekends. So we opted to wine shop at Grocery Outlet!!

We've been visiting pinnacles for 60 years now and have watched the transformation from an over -isited, under-maintained and abused piece of California. The pristine and well-maintained national park that it is now is a testament to the National Park Service and it's ability to set aside land for everyone to enjoy.

Our stay at Pinnacles campground was great, fellow campers were downright decent, night time was peaceful and and no drama at all. Highly recommend!

Very nice site. Large, no sites really close, animals wondering through, and nice view of condors at sunset.

Nice big sites, but the Dump Station might not be available. Hiking was fantastic.

Buses on Saturday ran smoothly. WiFi wasn't the greatest, but not too bad.

The campground is small and quaint for a listing as a National Park. Pinnacles is recently recognized as a NP therefore it has been pushed aside for funding so there are future plans for updates and increases to the park and facilities so please keep this in mind for future visits. The campsites themselves are more open to the sun then shaded which can make for a hot visit depending on the time of year. We had complications with some sites giving ground faults to our electric box which was annoying. The bathroom needs serious updates and care. The store staff and camp hosts were very kind and as helpful as possible. We thought it was weird that the visitor center/ranger station was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday...what not enough staff?? Is this due to lack of staff or the COVID pandemic and lack of getting staff willing to work because they make more money from the government not working?? Anyways overall, we enjoyed our visit and the Pinnacles is worth the visit.

Campgrounds were clean, but the blackwater clean out station is very substandard, the site is not level and the ground tips away from your clean out, also they will not let you use your own hose to spray the blackwater tank out properly

The Pinnacles is such a special place. The camping area with hookups is very nice and we love the hiking with views that can’t be beat. We brought our bicycles also and enjoyed a nice ride one day.
