Since parking is limited at the trail heads it would be great to have a park service shuttle.

Spacious, secluded. Creek runs behind site. Plenty of shade. Close to bathrooms. Poison oak on either side of stairs leading down to site but this can be avoided. Raccoons come out at night, starting about 9:00. Bunnies, deer, blue jays, and quail. I have never camped this close to wildlife before. Bear Gulch Trail was amazing. Will definitely camp at Pinnacles again, sometime in the spring.

At our campsite #117, there poison oak in the stairs from the parking area to the site. I can understand it being in the bushes and all, but it was nearly impossible to take our gear to our site without getting into it. Otherwise our campsite was very nice and pleasant. Another note, is that bathrooms are farther away than we have experienced in many campgrounds. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking. There was no parking at the trailheads so it was necessary to hike about 5 miles to the trailheads. We opted for one of our group to shuttle us back and forth and miss out on the hiking.

We camped at group campsite 117g. The parking area is about 100 feet from the picnic tables and the fire ring. You must walk down a steep path from the parking spaces. Once there, it is very secluded and quiet. The nearest restroom is by the pool, which is at least a 10 minute walk. Not acceptable. We usually car pooled to the restrooms. Get to the trailhead parking areas early because they fill up fast and you can't park along the sides of the road

The bathrooms close to our campsite were closed for upgrade but there were PortoPotties available. It was a long walk to the main bathrooms and shower but well worth the walk as the showers werenot only free but with lots of hot water. This is a well run campground. Bravo

Campsite 117 is unacceptable. It literally spans a trail that connects the main part of the campground to the amphitheater and the store. People walked and biked through our site day and night, often scaring our toddlers. The bathroom near us was also closed. And the stairs to the campsite from where we were supposed to park our car had poison oak growing within the risers (and also on the sides) so getting into the site safely was difficult.

This is a review on site 117, not on the campground as a whole. I had a terrible experience. One of the posted campground rules is to not walk through others' campsites. However, there's a trail that runs directly through campground 117. Other campers would constantly walk through, at all times. I want to be clear, it's not like they were walking by the site, they would walk directly through it, moving between chairs and tents, or me and the fire. It made me very uneasy to even step away for a moment, since the site had no privacy or security. At one point I came back from the bathrooms and found a couple eating at my campsite's bench. I first thought they were going through my stuff, and then realized they just thought it was an open area. And again, this would happen 24/7, as other campers would be using the trail to go to the bathrooms by the visitor center. There's also an amphitheater right by the site, where parents would bring their kids to play and eat. This made the foot traffic through my campsite even worse. Avoid site 117 and 118.

Scouts enjoyed the large group camsites. Weather was too cold in the mornings but overall a wonderful experience.

Very easy to navigate park! The shuttle takes you to the main attractions, and the caves are easy to navigate (although be in a bit of shape for them). Only ask would be that the shuttles go until 7pm!

What a wonderful place! Took the kids, nice campground, people respectful and considerate in this age of covid. Perfect vacation. Love the raccoons, especially at night, looking down from oak trees with green eyes staring out! Way fun. Trees are changing color and are gorgeous.

We stayed at a group campsite that was very nice and well maintained. Sadly when we arrived we were informed that campfires were prohibited due to high fire danger, so you may want to call or email ahead to see if fires will be permitted in the time of year you hope to visit. Parking by the trailheads is very limited and they will close off the road to everyone but the shuttle bus when the lots fill up. If you will be hiking there on a day the shuttle doesnt run or will be out past the time the last shuttle returns, be sure to go early to get a trailhead parking space or be prepared for a decent length hike from the campground. The Bear Gultch Cave hike was beautiful and there is some great climbing that you can get on at Pinnacles, just be sure to plan out your trip well!

We stayed in a group campground. PROS: The campground itself was spacious and relatively clean. It was a short and easy walk through the woods to the nearest restroom. I liked that the campsite itself was set back from the road and parking lot - it made it feel less like a busy campground. A good clean bear box made keeping out the raccoons (of which there were many) out of our food. CONS: The space was right next to the gathering space for ranger talks, which was busy and a little loud for a while. There was a LOT of poison oak. Thankfully none of our group ended up with any, but it was everywhere. There was a burn ban. (This is definitely not something that I think they need to change - I totally understand it. But one of my favorite parts of camping is the campfire, so other folks might want to know that's a possibility.)
