The campground needs attention. The weather was hot and I fortunately had my 30 amp box working. But 3 campsites around me did not have working electrical hookups. This is dangerous in the heat. It is not because everyone was using electricity. This happened to friends of mine in 2 campsites last November. The pool, which is supposed to be open in April was covered with dirt and debris on the cover. It hadnt been touched in months. I really used to enjoy coming to Pinnacles, but not being able to access utilities youve paid for is unacceptable.

Campground is sunny and dry, water readily available near campsite. Sites are close together. Bathrooms far apart and only one shower building.

What a wonderful park! We were lucky enough to time our visit for when all of the caves were open. The campground was tidy and the store was friendly and well stocked. Thanks to our NPS employees!

I love this park. I do avoid the showers because the showers are cold and dark and uncomfortable with no where to sit and put your things. There are a few hooks. Also, the temperature controls are off so it's hard to adjust the temp. You do get hot water. Not a pleasant shower. Though it does work.Otherwise a great park.

Very nice campground friendly staff. Great hikes.

If you can stay in the non-rv area, opt for that. Theres much more tree cover and shade, and vegetation providing privacy between sites in the back loops. The rv area is like a parking lot at a county fairgrounds. Theyre clearly shortstaffed for stuff like bathrooms, maintenance, shuttle drivers, and store workers, but theyre doing their best.

Excellent trails for all, from the easy cave routes to the High Peaks. The campground had level spots and located close to the trails. Trails are clearly marked and all the views were spectacular.

A wonderful place to visit & explore - my review is docked ONLY due to the CA spring break crowding. Should I REALLY give a critical review due to the crowds? Well, I feel yes because it affected us and every other carload of folks after us, paying to enter, then finding out that the roads deeper into the park are closed because overcrowding and nowhere to park. What a snarled traffic jam once you get to the store/campground.

Always enjoy our visit here. Simple, clean park that is usually quiet and peaceful.

Enjoyed spotting multiple condors from the campground with our spotting scope

Site D-99 is essentially on the shoulder of the road. No elbow room, no privacy, and nowhere near a restroom.

Such a modern and luxurious experience haha although the swimming pool and showers were closed, just knowing it’s there made the amenities top notch. .. also has WiFi for fees but try not to get it unless it’s an emergency!

campsites are so easy to find. The rv site has a good space but may feel crowded if you’re around big groups.

people at store and visitors center were very helpful in explaining shuttle services and other features. Only negative I saw was that the site could have been a little clearer which site was ours.

Campground has changed over the years with Fencing around the Big Oak Trees because of the possible falling of huge branch's. Some of the sites have been changed and for my 20' Trailer my site was almost too small with the Fire pit by the Side Door. WiFi was $10 for the week and I thought it should have been Free. Trails were well kept and the facilities were okay.

Great experience. Camp Host's were awesome. Campground was clean and orderly. There is no water hookup at individual sites, but several water spigots available with drinking water to fill RV or container. RV sites have 30 amp connections. Trails are well marked and signed with warnings, and are awesome. Beautiful Park. Hot and dry in Summer. Early evening saw large numbers of Turkey Vultures returning into the park, soaring in from their days gathering, and saw several Condors too. We will definitely camp there again. Planning to return in Spring. 100 varieties of wildflowers in the Park. We'll try to time our visit to see them.

Lots of campgrounds and many of them have shaded areas. Wifi is available around the store and neighboring campsites. Yurts are nice. For those of you needing vehicle charging stations, they have them. Camp hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Many hikes available at different levels. Very interesting place. The only downside is that the store doesn’t sell beer and theres nowhere close to buy beer or wine. So come prepared. The store does have a very good supply of everything you might need. Including good quality brands of supplies and snacks.

Loved the camping site and pool. Only issue was the the dumping station was only open from 9-5 so after hiking, we got back to a closed dumping station.

Shuttle bus not running to trailheads adds 4+ miles RT for all hikes.
Leaving Sunday May 1st were charged entry fees that the website had said were not being collected
at this time due to Covid? The excuse of the year for everything including the visitor center and park office not being open.
@AugustS593 · Camped on Apr 28, 2021 at Campsite #99
New campsites were poorly designed, attendants were ill prepared and rude. Current staffing does not meet NP standards
@CarolJ900 · Camped on Feb 8, 2021 at Campsite #99
Our stay was pleasant once we moved to a better spot. The first one felt like we were in the roadway...
The store is great, the staff was friendly and helpful, the scenery was beautiful.
