Wide open rv spots with simple access to fill fresh water tank as you pull into the rv loop. Bear Gulch Cave hike from campsite to the reservoir and back was beautiful and very doable with kids at just under 8 miles round trip. Condors visible with binoculars from campground in the late afternoon!

Nice campground with electric (which you will need) it was hot in September. Had a swimming pool as well.

I wish there were restrooms in the RV camper section. It was quite a long walk to the nearest bathroom, and we were in a popup without a bathroom. The sites were large and nice, and we loved having electricity so we could use the a/c in the afternoons. I was very grateful that the shuttles were running on Sat. as I got a ride back to the camprgound after a long day of hiking. There was a lot of wildlife, the trails were amazing and the pool was a great option although we didn't use it.

The bathrooms have been updated! Much appreciated. The store is stocked well (would have liked just a few fresh veggie items but realize that might be asking too much). The staff at the visitor center are knowledgeable and friendly. Every hike at Pinnacles is excellent. The caves, both of them, amazing. But also just walking the campground is delightful. This was our 5th trip (we had to look at camping journals to confirm that!), always in fall, winter, and spring. I think summer is challenging.

Great campground. Amazing park. Ton of holes from animals though - be careful and watch your step even late at night. Make sure no snakes got in them (they'll hide underground when it's dark/cold).

RV area was nicely laid out and roomy. However, electrical is all that is provided. There are fresh water spouts throughout the campground to fill your tank, just not at every site. There is also a free dump station. The pool is very refreshing since it is not heated. Lots of poison oak near the trails that is not easily seen. Hike the high peaks trail by 8am to get parking and avoid long waits at the steep and narrow section. Beautiful, well done trail.

Arriving and setting up were easy, and staff were responsive. Everything was well-marked, and we enjoyed our spot under an oak that the acorn woodpeckers would play around in. Turkeys were always wandering through the site as well. We didn't use the fire pit, but it looked to be in good condition.

We had problems with the electrical hookup as well as other campers

It isn't often you can find a National Park with electrical hookups, but you can at Pinnacles! Some of these RV sites do not have shade, so pick your site closely. If you do not need electrical hookup, you are in for a treat. The sites feel private with shade - some even have a stream behind the tent areas. The treat to this park were the California Condors that soar overhead just before sunset. They roost in the tree tops near by and prepare themselves to take flight about 2 hours after sunrise.

We stayed in site number 95 for two nights, June 18 and 19. This site has a long dirt/gravel driveway. It doesn't have any shade until about 4-5 pm, so it gets pretty hot. The store and Visitors Center are within walking distance. The closest restroom was quite a walk. I'm noticing now that the map doesn't show the restroom. The one we used was over by campsite number 1. If the wind picks up quite a bit of dust blows around. We hiked the Bear Gulch Reservoir Trail and made a loop out of it by coming back the way of the Rim Trail. Really spectacular! The bat cave was closed but that was fine with me!

We have been traveling across the country for over 3 months and stayed at many 30 amp only places in our 50 amp class A. We could not get our electricity to work and when someone came the next day to test, we were told that it was our $500 surge protector and that when they plugged in their $20 test plug it showed everything was ok, we should take off our surge protector. What?!?! They would only give us back part of our money because we didn’t let them know the night before. When I told them after noon when I was trying to get a refund that I did call, I was told well, we will have to check the messages later. I was hot and just wanted out of there. He insisted again that it was my problem and not theirs. Maybe they should have someone who knows electricity to know that 30 amps is 120 volts. When metered it was running 111 to 114 volts, so our surge protector was doing its job! When we went to our next destination a day early (codorniz) hooked up to 30 amp and it worked perfectly. I felt like calling back and speaking to RC but I figured it wouldn’t help when I tried explaining that to him that day. If you have an older 30 amp unit, it should work but DO NOT take off your surge protector! The campground roads are riddled with huge potholes. I only wish we could have stayed to enjoy the hiking and they had a nice pool. Tons of wildlife right by the park was fun to watch so I gave it an extra star for these reasons.

Nice setting, shower facility was nice, good AT&T reception, electricity in RV sites a plus for National Park site. The location of the park is spectacular. The only fix to make is to make the RV dump more convenient. Locking it and limiting time of use forces a long line of campers at one time. It took an hour to get through it.

The campground was beautiful and clean. Easy access to the RV spots. The tent campsites were nestled along a couple of small roads in between the trees. There was a lot of wildlife to view from our campsite; wild turkeys, quail, turkey vultures and deer. There was easy access to the trailheads.

The park brochure helped a lot to decide on the trails we took. Great hikes. However, there needs to be signage for the times the shuttle is in operation. As far as I know, the shuttle operates Thursday-Sunday 8AM to 6PM.The tent sites are absolutely gorgeous. But for RVers, the dump doesn't open until 9:30AM and there is no signage for this either. We had a long drive home and wanted to leave at 8AM and tried to dump and had to ask the host when the dump was going to open.

This was our 5th year camping at the Pinnacles for Easter. This year was probably the best year yet. The campground has definitely improved since our first visit. The trees were trimmed, the grounds were well maintained, the bathrooms/showers were updated/upgraded, the pool was open, clean and there were new lounge chairs. The trails were in great condition. The store was stocked, dump station open and operable, and staff (as always) super friendly and helpful. We were sad there was no Junior Ranger program this year and no educational programs in the amphitheater....hopefully those will resume in the future.

Weird dump station rules. Dump locked and key only available during office hours. Unheated pool is really cold.Loved that camp site are fairly spread out from each other.

Well maintained spacious campground with great hiking in Pinnacles right from the campground. We saw condors! Will visit again.

We walked the Bench Trail and the Bear Gulch Trail to the overlook. The other hikes are a bit too strenuous for us. The RV campground has large spaces and is easily navigated. The restrooms and showers are near the camp store, which is a bit of a walk. There is no cell service at all, but we were able to access wifi from the camp store. Lots of animals and birdswe saw turkeys, quail, squirrels, lizards, and a couple of coyotes from our camp, but no Condors, even on our hikes. We enjoyed our 2 days at Pinnacleswish we had visited when we were youngerbut we will come back and see the west side of the park.

This park is far too expensive for what it offers. The sani/dump station is atrocious. The line up for it is very difficult to get into, the water supply is pitiful and the security system of having to get a key from the office is very inefficient. The lots are not very level and the utilities (electrical) is misleading since there is a 50 amp connector that does not work. There should be a water hook up for each lot.We have stayed in many National & State Parks in our 15 years of full timing and I can say this park was the most disappointing of them all.

This was our third visit and need one more visit to be able to hike more of the trails. Campground sites are mostly well spaced out. Nice to see the cabins and more tent sites. Only wish the weather was a bit cooler. Our lesson!!

Spring in the Pinnacles is a good destination for hiking, wildflowers and wildlife. We had a many walks and a couple of hikes. Looking for condors was a daily activity. We were entertained by the woodpeckers and quail. Disappointed that we didn’t see any turkeys. Park was Covid clean and campers wore masks.
