The campground was only modestly populated at this time of year (early March), making it a relatively low-key environment. This campsite in particular is quite nice, with a large shaded area of more-or-less flat, leaf-carpeted ground for pitching tents. We got three tents to fit comfortably. All in all, a lovely overnight!

Camped here early December and tested my 15 degree sleeping bag for the first time. Not sure how cold it got overnight but woke up to frost on the ground so probably somewhere in the 30s. There was a handful of other campers but everyone was nicely spaced out. Went and hiked around the caves the next day and highly recommend checking those out. Bring a headlamp and have fun, this was an another great national park experience. Thank you.

Kind staff, clean restrooms, and the hikes at Pinnacles are fantastic. Parking for the hikes is limited. Clean campsite. Bring your food - no restaurants near by. Pool was open - not heated so it was cold! Im sure it will warm up as the temperatures rise.

Amazing campground! Beautiful sites and surroundings. Clean bathrooms and showers. Lots of trails nearby too!

Pinnacles is beautiful, but the campsites are grossly overpriced when you figure it already cost $30 to get in the park it was over $80 for 1 night. I could get a decent motel for less.

Campsite 32B was a pretty good location, it wasn't exactly a flat spot, but nothing unusable for sleeping on. The trees provide shade over the campsite in the afternoon, which was great since it was in the mid 80s first week of October. Bathrooms are nearby across the sandy field, which made it convenient, bathrooms have running water and flush toilets, also had a water spigot outside. Only one campsite was next to this one, but some bushes helped separate the two sites. The other side of the campsite was a bunch of trees. Enough parking for 2 cars. Relatively close to the camp store, pool, and showers if you drive car, otherwise takes about 10 minutes to walk there from the campsite. The site has a storage container for food so the wildlife can't get it. Dumpsters are nearby as well.Mostly unobstructed views of the night sky which allowed me to do some night photography right from the campsite. And, surprisingly, I had cell service at the campsite, at least 3 bars, no issues with calls dropping or internet. I have ATT.

I have been to this c.g. many times, it has been 2 years. This site is no longer as shown, and needs attention in the brush area + fencing is ugly. There were many flies but thats camping. one of the early evenings the park ranger came around and was quite rude. Bathrooms are very nice.

We were in Site 32Clean bathroom. Wide open area near our site. It was close to the trash bins so a lot of people walked by the spot. Not a biggie but some might find it annoying.

The campground was spread out and spacious, quiet, and lots of squirrels and birds. Loved it!

Site is very wide- tent had to go right up against the road to find a flat spot. Note that the bugs were bad and it was hot! Wildlife everywhere!

What a beautiful park! The only disappointment was the nonstop rain, which prevented us from seeing the California Condors. Obviously, that is not the fault of the park! The campgrounds were relatively spacious for tents but our tent was pitched in a depression (the best place to put it) and when it rained, it was not a good combination. Otherwise, it was a fabulous park!

Site 32 was roomy and clean. Great for our teardrop trailer.

The overwhelming 5 star reviews are not wrong. What a great place to go camping. We went the first week of Nov and the weather was still warm. I can't imagine how ?? it would be in the summer. This will be our new winter camping trip. The wildlife was amazing. The deer walk right past the camp sites. Beware that the raccoons will come up at anytime to try to get food. We were enjoying a nice fire and heard something behind us at the picnic table. We turned around to see a raccoon trying to take something. Brazen little trash pandas. The trails were great. Just keep in mind to read the trail info before you head out. Some of the trails are harder than others and have a little to no shade. Bring plenty of water. But most of all enjoy the view.

I booked online, and on the website it looked like my campsite had trees? When I got there I found out that not only were there no trees in the campsite, but I was right next to some rental tents. With no privacy what so ever. I did a little exploring and found out that there was a fairly decent site only two camp spots away. So I went to speak to somebody at the little store and ask about moving sites. She did a big eye roll. Like I was putting her out. There were several empty unreserved. sites in the campground for that evening. I felt like I had to justify me moving, and that I had to explain that it was only two campsites away that I wanted to move to. She finally agreed but said that I had to pay 10 more dollars. I told her I would go ahead and do that, but when she told me to pay it was not $10 but she had added tax to it. There is no tax on services, only goods, but I went ahead and paid it. Then I asked about hikes. Then she did another Eye roll, and asked slowly Word for Word if I didn’t pick up one of the brochures. I told her I had but I wanted to know what good hikes were in the area. The other person that was in there was just helping a couple and going into detail about the hikes, and I wanted to hear more about that since they were speaking Spanish and they didn’t catch everything that they said. She took out a brochure and pointed to a paragraph and said all the hiking you want to do or is right here. Then she said something about me being by the one entrance gate instead of the other. So I asked about the other entrance gate and if I could drive through the park to get there because I did not know there were two entrances. Third eye roll, and told me know that I could not Drive through the park to get to the other entry gate, so I asked her how to get there and she just said well you have to go out of the park and head towards King city. She would not give me any more direction to after that and Kind of set the tone for the rest of the day.

Campsites were big and offered a lot of privacy (I am talking about the tent sites, as the RV sites didn’t look as nice). Bathrooms were clean, showers were nice, water was convenient to the sites. The campground is in a beautiful setting and the dark skies are amazing!

Easy to get to trailheads, great sights, and campers were pretty friendly and respectful

Wonderful stay and great staff. Buy the compressed wood logs for your campfire. The split wood burned smokey and heavy, seemed a bit green yet.

Really liked the site, but the front desk was not clear on the sites we were assigned and actually had a camper come to my site stating they were given my site for the night. They need better organization.
