Some sites are very nice with shade and privacy. Others are crammed right next to each other. Great amenities. Bathroom doors slam which is annoying in the evening when going to sleep as you can hear slamming doors across the campground. Overall great experience.

It's a very nice cabin with newish floors, ample porch, windows/screens, 2 adirondack chairs, a bench, a solar-powered fan and two solar powered lights. Lots of interior room as we had a large luggage. Across an empty meadow field from the restroom. The picnic bench was clean and the fire pit had all its parts. The one negative is the cabin is completely not insulated so it was probably 80 inside when we arrived at 3pm, and dropped to 40 at night (bring warm sleeping bags!). The cabin backs into a steepish hillside and I saw people walking up the hill to gather wood but I don't think this is a reliable method. The floor gets very very cold. The sites at this campground are smallish as in you couldn't fit in an extra tent or trailer. The road passes right in front and there are constantly cars driving at night until 10pm, people looking for their sites but seemingly driving in circles. I read about raccoons but we saw no wildlife except quails and bats.

We stayed at pinnacles in one of their tent cabins at the end of March and it was a wonderful experience. The tent and the site had everything we could ask for, everything including the bathrooms were spotless, the camp store was well stocked and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back soon and cant wait to watch all of the amazing wildlife from our porch again.

The reservation process was very easy, and being off-season and a sunday night, I had no problems booking a tent cabin. I had most of the campsite to myself which was a wonderful surprise, so peaceful and quiet. The cabin had no heating which was a shame since it was 25 degrees overnight, but I was well prepared with lots of blankets, layers and sub zero sleeping bag! Some visitors to the campsite: bunnies, lots of deer, California Quail, ravens, and a pair of racoons at night... and 2 owls were hooting... Loved all the fauna:-) And the stars were incredible! The store has a good selection of basic supplies, and coffee in the morning (though not till 9am). The staff and Rangers were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable:-) One even helped me identify the 3 Condors I took photos of, they are all tagged and listed on the website! The hiking is unbeatable, though pretty strenuous. January might be a cold, wet time of year to visit Pinnacles, but the park was wonderfully empty and peaceful. I hiked early Monday morning and only passed one person after 1.5 hrs of hiking! HIGHLY recommend Pinnacles and especially the campsite.

Bathroom motion light did not work, bathroom was not clean (urinal overflowing), however it was fixed and saw team members cleaning often. Cabin tent is overpriced, but nice.

Great experience staying in the canvas tent cabins!! Lots of wildlife in the area of the tents.... dear, rabbits, raccoons, quails, etc. Spent the night, then completed the High Peaks/Bear Gulch Trail. Great Views the whol trail!!

This was our second visit to this campground and were disappointed this year the shuttles were no longer available (with no prior notice given). Given the distance from the campground to the trailheads, and the prohibition on self-shuttling, hiking options (especially for families with young children) are quite limited.

I booked a tent cabin and the chemical smell of the cleaning agents was overpowering. It lessened over the days we were there but the first night I had an allergic reaction to the odor and it was difficult to sleep.

I was amazed at how well-equipped the camp store was. Coming from the Bay Area, I also found the prices to be reasonable. We stayed in the Tent Cabins, which had solar lights. During our stay, there was some wind during the day that shook the lines holding the cabin and made some noise, but it seemed to die down at night. I should have checked the weather more closely because the campground is tucked in the mountains and my site stayed shady well into the day, making for some cold mornings. Overall we had a great time!

It was a little unclear how to get the keys to the tent cabin we reserved. I received mixed instructions from rec.gov. But not too big of a deal. Also, it would be nice if the boxes intended for keeping animals out of food were big enough for a standard ice chest. Again, not a deal breaker. It's a wonderful park with great facilities and friendly staff all around.

This was a lovely and pleasant experience. The tent cabin was perfect with lots of space for 4 people. The park speaks for itself, so beautiful. Lots of wildlife early in the morning.

Pinnacles was a gem! The park is gorgeous and seeing condors was truly amazing. The campground was great for our family, the tent cabin comfortably fit our family and was a luxurious park experience. The pool was also a nice addition!

We have stayed at the Pinnacles campground three times now. The campground is well maintained with easy access to water and bathrooms. We enjoyed exploring the east side of the park with the campground as a home base. It's pretty popular, so it is not a quiet place to camp (there were campers playing loud music until after 10p). But, overall I think it's worth it to explore the park.

We stayed at a tent cabin and it was exactly what we needed. We arrived just after sun set for a 1 nighter and it made our stay a breeze eliminating the need to set up our tent. There was a double bed and two twin beds. Spacious interior with sufficient lighting inside and out front. Adirondack chairs were a nice touch. Fire ring with grill rack was perfect for our dinner and warmth. Location was excellent. Showers were under renovation. Great hiking trails. There was a huge group who rented the two single tent only sites next to us unfortunately and we're extremely loud and kept us up. Otherwise the stay would have been perfect. The tent cabin was 5 stars and felt pretty new. Would stay again.

There were no showers available. It would have been really useful to know this before arriving and not just reading a sign on arrival that said they were closed for repair. I do expect to be able to shower in a campsite after hiking and strenous activitiy.,

The tent cabins are very nice. Mattress on beds comfortable enough. Good lighting. Nice solid and secure door. Nice to have the two outdoor chairs to sit on the cabin deck and to have the picnic table. The bathrooms nearby was clean enough too. Only downside was going to where the outdoor pool is as that is where the showers are. One shower was not working and another was really grubby and dirty - chose not to shower as too unpleasant looking. Need someone to regularly be cleaning up the shower room as it will get used by people using the pool as well as people who aren't but are camping or in tent cabins nearby. All in all though, an enjoyable visit.

Clean cabin and well managed campground. Really refreshing to jump into the swiming pool after the long walks on the trails. We went to Balconies Cave trail on the west side then camped on the east side. It's about 80 minutes drive between the two entrances, but it's worth it.

Pinnacles is truly a spectacular work of nature. The rock formations, wildlife, spectacular vistas, flora & fauna all combine for a stunning experience that dazzles one’s senses. One of the best parts is the system of trails which offer opportunities for every skill level of hiker. For those seeking a Park that focuses on the nature over the tourist chotskies and w/o the madding crowd, this is one of the best in the Nat’l Park system. The staff in this park are great and help to make the experience very comfortable.

We had a wonderful camping experience at this unique and stunning park. Our tent cabin site provided everything we needed with clean facilities and a variety of beautiful surrounding hiking trails. We hope to return again as soon as possible.

Beautiful campground and awesome cabins! We were harassed by raccoons so watch out for them.
@MarthaG857 · Camped on Mar 12, 2021 at Campsite #28
the tent-cabin sites have no privacy or separation from other campers. The tent sites along the creek look much nicer. Staff all very helpful. Visitors should stop in and chat with staff at the "official" park store--beside where you check in for camping. Lots of good info on wildlife and we almost missed it.
