The campsites are nice with plenty of room between sites. It was quiet at night. There is no cell signal in the campground (T-Mobile) and the store advertises that you get 30 min of free Wi-Fi then you can purchase more. What you get is 50 MB for free, which only lasts a couple of minutes for a Wi-Fi phone call. You can purchase 500 MB for $7. I did not try the showers as it was cold and the showers were not heated. There are only a few showers, way less than what should be available based on the number of campsites.

A wonderful park with fantastic trails, clean facilities and a campsite with the most wildlife inside it that I've experienced at a Nat'l Park. We had deer, turkeys, squirrels and raccoons all active and roaming through the campgrounds. Definitely heed the warnings of keeping food or scented items out of your tent and lock up your food / trash bags when unattended as the raccoons will sneak in through the brush and liberate you of any food items when you're not looking. We did not find them to be a bother at all and thought it added to the experience. This park is a hidden gem and we will be back again soon to explore some more.

Very secluded, level, shady. Portable toilets and dumpsters across from our site 67 were a rough wake-up call. Be alert to bandit raccoon vandalism.

An amazing three days of day hikes. Saw so much wildlife and just awesome landscape.

The site was hard to pull into. It was rated to be long enough for a travel trailer, but it was a tight fit and the angle to enter this particular site was difficult to maneuver.

Stayed at site #66 and although a great site, we experienced slamming porta potty doors, banging dumpster lids - morning and night. Wish this was exaggerated. As mentioned in other reviews there is a troop of racoons at the campground. While making dinner we had 5 racoons join us pretty brazenly. The campground was clean and the office team was kind. We'll be back, better prepared for bandits next time.

Great hiking on well maintained trails, as well as some challenging sections on the High Peaks trail. Parking can be a challenge on weekends especially if you want to park at the Bear Gulch Nature Center. Bring your binoculars to see the Condors in the early morning, from the Condor viewpoint. Beautiful scenery and wonderful views of ancient volcanic activity.

The hikes were nice, but the entire campground and area was covered in poison oak and endless mosquitos. Not a great place for small kids. Pool was fun. Simple and cold but nice on a hot day.

We loved our stay at Pinnacles Campground! Many of the sites are private from others, which was super nice. The campground was extremely close to many of the popular trailheadssuper convenient!

Stayed in 67. Nestled in the trees with a little creek. Trash and bathrooms directly across from site but the tent site and fire ring was far enough away. Pretty close to neighbors but not enough to be awkward. Stayed 11/24/23 got down to 25 overnight. Camp store had good selection. Nice staff.

We always have a great time at pinnacles. Hope the campground will always stay overgrown and brushy since we love to see the wild critters. No more tent cabins please.

I really liked camping at the Pinnacles campground. The one blemish was the proliferation of nuisance flies that just clouded my head when in camp. Fortunately, they were not biting flies, but they were still so dense that it was hard to function with them around. Not clear how to stop them. We met other hikers who had a net that covered their head. Probably be good to sell these at the park store. The wifi is not useful unless you are close to the main store and visitor area. They are up front about the coverage. If you are not in the well covered area, I suggest just buying the one hour pass and not the multi day pass. We found the multi day didn't work for us because we were out hiking so much that we spent very little time near the wifi. Of course, since cellular does not work in the park, wifi is pretty much it for sending or receiving messages and photos to the Homefront. Next time we'll probably just not worry about it. Other than that, all good! Enjoyed hiking, caving and watching the condors.

This loop was very shaded and very quiet with large spaces and brush/trees in between. It was noticeably cooler here compared to the visitors center. The pool was a nice touch. Beware of the raccoons and birds. We got burned by accidentally leaving a car window open. We didnt visit much of the NP but it was a nice place to relax for a few days

This specific site is pretty secluded and it was shaded. We were able to fit 3 tents, one 2-person backpacking tent and two 2-person tents that were like 8x4. The grill on the fire pit was too low and close to the fire to be able to use it. Watch out for the raccoons!! They are not shy and will come up to your site looking for food. The restrooms were porta-potties which wasnt the best but they were still really clean. Looks like they come to clean them every 4-5 days or so.

Awesome camp spot and trails. Too bad no camp fires but I understand.

Campground map inaccurately showed our campsite (number 67) as not being opposite bathroom. It was, in fact, exactly opposite. The bathrooms were closed and the Porta pottys brought in to fill the gap made the campsite unpleasant indeed.

The ranger at Bear Gultch was very informative and helpful, the shuttle driver doubled as a guide, the old pinnacles trailhead lead to a lovely hike, do not park on the side of the road they are very good about a friendly reminder, but I should have known better Site 67 was large and had secluded space, site 72 was also spacious but mostly bathed in beautiful California sunshine

We camped there for three nights with our RV early December. We had great time exploring the park by hiking various trail and caves. Weather was perfect. We also saw condor and deer. The camping ground is spacious and surprisingly quite and dark at night. Make sure you get back to camping ground early as by 5:00pm this place is dark already.

Congrats for taking such good care of this beautiful park. Even though I’d hoped to see the caves in this recent visit, I’m glad they close them when necessary to protect them from vandalism.
I only wish I’d chosen a better campsite this week, because #67 has a view of dumpsters and a bathroom. Not complaining because I know campers need those, but I’ll choose better next time. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed in the 60-80 site loop which was nicely tucked away. Large private sites, ours backed up to a shallow creek. Facilities were close by and clean. Too bad there is a fee for wi-fi, otherwise, good services overall.
