Had fun at our campfire Thanksgiving... Start the hikes early to avoid the crowd.

Great time in the tent cabin at Pinnacles National Park! Unfortunately no fires due to fire season but everything was very clean and ready for us (even with the shut down going on right now). Camp store and amenities were all open! Hiking was lovely, not too crowded since it is near the end of the season.

Such an awesome location! Pinnacles campground is the perfect jumping off point for the hikes in the area! After hiking, my three small sons enjoyed the pool, which is super unique for a national park! Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. Expect lots of wildlife! We were there two nights and three days and we saw a mountain lion, a tarantula walking across the road, deer, raccoons, turkeys, bunnies, so many bird speciesit was truly unreal.

Got cold in tent cabin due to heater too small. No hot water in main showers and other portable showers were filthy. Unfriendly lady in check in. Trails were not marked directionally good. Deer were around so we enjoyed that.

Camped in one of the cabin tents at Pinnacles with my girls ages 6-13. They had the BEST time. The good: There is nature EVERYWHERE. It's hard to peel my girls away from electronics, but it was no trouble when every moment there was a quail family, deer family, a variety of song birds, and CONDORS to enjoy observing. I recommend bring binoculars. The night sky is amazing! There is very little light pollution so you're in for a treat. We've been here for both a new moon and full moon. Both are spectacular, but I recommend coming during the new moon for extra bright star gazing. There a variety of trails to meet your hiking needs. There are flat trails and high elevation trails of various lengths depending on what you're looking for. Along the trail you'll continue to see abundant wild life. I saw baby quail nuggets! They're so tiny! Just make sure you bring a lot of water if you are hiking in the summer. It is hot and often in full sun. If you're able to get up earlier, you can both avoid the heat and see more critters. The campground is great for kids to ride their bikes around. The bad:Call ahead if you are excited about a specific feature. It is very hot in the summer and with kids I was counting on the pool to give them a chance to cool off in the heat of the day. The website, which I checked right before leaving, said it opened June 1st. We got there mid June and it was not open until the last day of our stay. The caves are also subject to closure. When we got there the Bear Gulch Caves were closed, then the last day we were there, both caves were closed. It's nature and it happens, just make sure you call ahead if there's one thing you're really excited about. Not really a bad, but be aware of the weather. It is hot in the summer day and quite cold at night if you are using the tent cabin or a tent. We camped in the winter last time and wished we had brought more warmth for the night!

Pinnacles is an awesome place to hike and take in the abundant wildlife. The condors where on full display while hiking the High Peaks Trail. Also, don't miss the trail that takes you to the caves, then the reservoir. We camped at the campground which is also a great place to watch wildlife and take in the stars. What was also great, is the condition of the the public bathrooms in the campground. They have the cleanest showers and restrooms, hands down. We're already planning our trip for next year. Cant' wait!

We enjoyed our stay at Pinnacles campground. We stayed in a tent cabin which made the visit easy. At check-in campers should be told strongly to keep food in cars or the food box. Our next door neighbor left their car window down about 2-3 inches and raccoons got inside and broke into all of their food and made a pretty big mess. The raccoons will also break into the camp tents after food. Otherwise it was a great stay with wonderful hiking!

My wife and I loved our time in the park. The cabin was clean, the bed comfortable, and we enjoyed making a fire each night. Restrooms and showers were clean each day. The night skies were fabulous. Having wifi service at the cabin was a bonus. But the nights were cold (low to mid 20s) and the small space heater provided is vastly ineffective. The outlet was also a bit finicky - getting both to work at the same time was sometimes a challenge. Seriously, there's only four tent cabins with power - invest in better heaters for them and make sure the outlets work properly, and this is five stars for us.

The campground was beautiful and the caves were amazing to explore. The general store staff is helpful and well stocked. The negatives are 1) that the campground rangers are less than friendly and helpful and 2) the wait to get into the park, even if you have a campsite reservation, can be over an hour as all traffic (day use and campers) must use the same single lane road.

We knew Pinnacles was not a dog-friendly NP, but were okay with it since we (family of 6 with 3 dogs) had 2 tent cabins and were planning to just try winter camping for the first time. The cabins each had a small heater, fan and weak lamp. The first night there was freezing cold and the other tent had a rip in the canvas, but I don't think that patching it up would have warmed anything up considerably. Both tents had 2 outlets, but after the first night, none of the electricity worked in one tent. Ours had one working and one temperamental outlet. Basically, the attraction for the tent cabins was the electricity, so the lack of it in one of the tents was a huge loss. Of all the NPs that we've visited (about 30 so far), Pinnacles was the most disappointing; there isn't much to do besides hiking. There was not a scenic route to drive along. And the tent camps were a waste of money. The only reason the trip was saved was that our group was happy to be together.

My husband and I both use CPAP machines for sleep apnea, so having a cabin with electrical outlets was essential for accessing this park. Thank you! It was also nice that there was a queen bed, clean floors, and clean bathrooms and showers. The folks at the market were friendly. Always a plus! And since there are chargers at the store, next time well drive our EV.

We enjoyed our experience, but road work made the four days unpleasant. We had to move our cars. Nobody knew when or where roads would be resurfaced, or parking, and facilities would be unavailable. We'd planned to drive to the west Side of the park and hike. They closed the west side of the park the day before we arrived. We had to redo our plans on short notice. A partial rebate would have been nice to make up for the inconvenience and disruption. On the plus side, bathrooms and showers were improved from two years ago.

Very peaceful at middle of winter. All the hike was beautiful! To bad me they don't have west and east roads .. other than that 2 night camping was wonderful!

This is a beautiful and quiet campground. The stars are breathtaking at night, especially on the non-electric side, where campers don't leave outside lights on overnight.

The weather was very hot our first day there, but the big tree behind us provided some nice shade. Downside is there is a small creek or something behind the camp that had a lot of annoying flies that were bugging us the whole time. Bathrooms are not too far away, and the showers are just a 2 minute walk near the pool area. Pool would have been nice on the hot day, but it was way overcrowded with too many people. Makes me wonder if people who just came in for day use used the pool illegally. All in all it was a nice time. We saw a deer and raccoon in the evenings and the stars at night were nice.

The twnt lodges are great. The heaters in the ones with electricity are pretty useless/underpowered, though. Bring a warm sleeping bag and youre good. The store is also great, good selection of things.

We stayed in the tent cabins. A little pricey for camping, but theyre very clean and comfortable. Happy to see WiFi in the campground this year. We could see lots of improvements since wed stayed a year ago.

We stayed in Electric Cabin #108. It was very clean and accommodating. It had a lamp, portable heater, and fan. We kept our food in the metal cabinet on the site. It is mandatory that it be completely shut. I did not close it correctly on the second night and racoons got into it and made a mess. Both caves are worth the visit.

Good experience. Bathrooms in better shape than May 2021. Fewer raccoons, more turkeys. A tad warmer than expected. Tent-cabin heater only heats the air within a foot of itself. I recommend spending some time here at least once.
