Great spacious campsite. Beware of raccoons, they are fast and sneaky! There is a shuttle to the main hiking trails.

We had a wonderful stay. The campsite was a huge, mostly flat area. No shade, so we brought 3 pop-up shelters. The only downside was that some members of our group got stuck in a ridiculously long line to enter the park on a holiday weekend. Luckily, they waved down a park ranger who told them to follow the next emergency vehicle into the park.

Our group had a good time. I believe the most significant issue was that the men's room needs lighting.

This site has no shade. Other sites have a lot, which is important when its 90-100F.

Good experience. Easier access to water would be good. The restroom could use some attention.

Great site. Just enough campsites between you and the creek. The raccoons raid everyone else's sites first.

This site was very open without much natural cover. I recommend bringing canopies to anyone who reserves this site.

The group camping spaces we were at are just big dirt areas with no trees. Quite uninviting.

It was great! I really enjoyed it and I want to come back again and again to explore more of the park!

I would not recommend summer time for camping here. The temperature were over a 100F. But nights were cool and breezy. Because of the heat there isnt much you can do during the afternoon. We were there for 2 nights, a big group with 2toddler and a baby and we had a hard time staying cool, so we had to spend the afternoon inside the car and drive around. The campsite we had was big and spacious for our group. There were raccoons that ate our food. Bathrooms were decent, at least the ladies one. My husband said the guys bathroom was clogged and dirty. But we let them know about it and they cleaned it. We couldnt enjoy what the park had to offer because of the hot weather. May be we will comeback during winter. Amazing night skies. That was the best part.

Pinnacles campground is very stocked with amenities. The camp store is great and has everything you could need (and anything you may forget)! We stayed in group site 127 which was very large but pretty exposed to the road into the park. If we came back we would choose a site further "in" away from the road. It was a bit hard to find where the water spigots were; there are a few listed on the map that actually seemed way too close to someone else's campsite to feel comfortable using it. One very weird thing to note - once the sun went down, we could hear a PERSISTENT beeping sound that didn't sound like it was coming from any campsite, it sounded like it was coming from the ridge across the road but it was very loud and hard to sleep (maybe a solar panel or a weather station or an electric fence)? That was the worst part honestly - so stay in the sites that aren't adjacent to the main road into the park.

Our reservation said we would have Trees, except for a large party there was absolutely no shade. On the hot days we did lay underneath a big tree near our site for shade but the Park management restricted us from being close to the tree due to danger of the tree falling? our site was closely managed with a lot of check in by rangers and that is ok. but I would ask that you not claim that there is tree or shade in the camping spot so that guests can make sure to bring shade/canopy equipment.
