Great hiking. No showers when we were there. Lots of Condors though.

Such a fun place for families! We saw wild turkeys, deer and quail. The campground seemed clean and the grounds were maintained. There is poison oak. And the shuttles to Bear Gulch were not running every day. Also, the showers were out of service--looked like under construction. Porta-potties needed servicing and the dump station was full when we left. Not ideal, but we had friendly and quiet neighbors, families with kids and lots of space to walk and hike. Bear Gulch and cave was fun and a good hike for my kids.

A great place to camp. Trails at the Bear Gulch area are excellent - worth the hike to the upper caves and reservoir. We also enjoyed the hike to the Balconies - a bit of a boring hike for the first couple of miles in, but spectacular rock formations in the last part of the loop. Unfortunately, the Balconies Caves were closed for cleaning when we went, but we still enjoyed the hike. Rewarded ourselves with some great ice cream back at the camp store when we came back to the campground!

Trailer camping with family was simply perfect! Did the bear gulch and high peaks hike. Hike through is a must. Got to see condors from far away.

Pinnacles NP is unique in that there are relatively few things to do. That is not meant to be a slam on the park. It is just that the park is isolated with limited activities for those of us of an age who neither hike nor rock climb, but want to sit back, relax, and enjoy the solitude of the campground. Being able to observe California Condors in flight was the highpoint of our visit. Seeing these majestic birds, back from the brink of extinction, soar above the park was an experience not to be missed or forgotten.

This was our second trip to the park. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We camped in the RV loop in our trailer. That all went well. Folks should carefully read the campground description for site length, water spigot locations, hook-ups (electric only), etc. We did and our expectations were met. At least two other RV's pulled in expecting both water and electric and were apparently put out by only having electricity. Not the park's problem. It is clear in the reservation details what is available.

Make sure you hike as much of the trail system as you can. Very interesting area.

Our trip to the Pinnacles was fantastic. No crowds, excellent animal life, and clean campgrounds were all perfect. Thank you. We will be back again. Michael Courrejou

Campground is well managed by staff, hosts and rangers. Impressed by electricity available in RV sites. Locations and hiking options were adventurous and provide easy to strenuous trails.

Fantastic campsite: quiet, great location with great hikes right from the campsite.
I’d recommend heading towards the da use parking lots by 9am, as at 9:30 we were no longer let in and had to hike towards the main hiking area
