This National Park and campground is truly a gem. Everything you want for a weekend or more of hiking. Gentle hills, beautiful views, plenty of opportunities to look at deer from close range, fascinating rock and cavern formations, and a shimmering reservoir.

Fun place to visit! Electrical hookup and shade from a big tree with a very flat spot made it great for the RV. Lots of creatures visiting too: dear and raccoons and many different varieties of birds. Raccoons can be very aggressive about food so make sure you lock it up!

I got a spot with an outlet and slept in my electric car, which was all charged up for the next day adventure and got me most of the way home. It was a seamless trip - easy entry, clean bathrooms, good hiking. No complaints!

Trails were well marked and well maintained. Campsite had a variety of sites and was clean.

The camp ground itself was fine. The reservation system had errors: the campground availability data in grid form showed many sites being available, but when attempted to reserve one it returned not available response. So it was a trial-and-error effort to find actually available site.

We were pleasantly surprised with how beautiful Pinnacles National Park was! The trails were wonderful, the caves, water falls and rock formations. We were happy to get a site at the campground, however due to the popularity of the park we did need to reserve two different sites on different nights but they were next to each other so it wasnt a problem. I felt the added mobile bathrooms were a plus! Staff was very helpful when asking questions about the hiking trails. I would recommend this campground and certainly the park to anyone!

Fantastic. Whoever is doing the buying in the campground store is excellent. Ive made this review every single time. the hours need to be a little later in the afternoon when considering everyones hiking timeline. But I understand that you dont want to pay any overtime so its hard to adjust. Nothing will change there. Its nice that theyve updated the bathroom and showers. This group you currently have running the campground store is excellent. Thorough and clean.Patricia in the campground store is amazing. Shes extremely friendly, kind and helpful. I know you dont care about the Parks store next-door but its all about Linda.

From check in to when we left 4 days later, the experience was a great one. Goo sites in the perimeter. Showers, a pool, restrooms and potable water. The campground attracts hikers and outdoor people who are respectful of the rules and quiet times posted. Both times we went to the camp store and the visitor center we were treated well and the staff was friendly and helpful!!

Clean and comfortable site. We have a trailer without a toilet. It would have been nice to have the facilities closer to the RV area.

The Black Rock Canyon campground was a lovely setting with mountain ridges and Joshua trees all around us. Boondocking was an adventure when an overnight storm brought a high wind advisory. Its proximity to Yucca Valley was helpful for obtaining propane and enjoying delicious pizza at Two Guys Pie. It's a beautiful national park that we enjoyed for three days.

Nice, clean camp sight. Free showers were a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pinnacles. Seeing a Condor was a highlight for us!

Clean site under the oak trees. Electrical hookup but not water at the site. Not a problem to get water with several outlets nearby. Camp is run by the concession and we never saw a ranger in the camp area or on the trails. A bit unusual for a National Park but not a limitation to see the pinnacles and look for condors. But one must be willing to hike to really appreciate the areas special qualities. Avoid summer heat and visit in the cooler months. Even in late October the temps were hot in the afternoon. Nice to have free hot showers.

Wonderful welcome at the front (east) entrance. The camp store could stand to have expanded hours. Called to ask is shuttles were running and they said yes, decided not to bring bikes, got there, same woman said shuttles only on weekends. That wasn't great.Water hookups should be at every site. Signage on trails good, not great - some errorsNever saw a ranger IN the park the entire time not sure what the response time would be to a medical or police emergency.Solid B+

Beautiful campground, helpful, friendly staff. However, the disinfectant used in the tent cabins was overwhelming. The smell wafting into our camp was toxic, and I understand that the couple who had reserved one of the cabins was unable to stay there because of the smell. Maybe they should try something milder.

Definitely need to get the dump station situation corrected. Its a major pain in the ass and hopefully national Parks has the money to address it fairly soon. People are just dumping their gray water on the side of the road because they are too frustrated to wait or to wait till 930 and get the key.

Nice clean National park at the East end of CA Hwy 25. Showers currently closed due to COVID but lavatories availability and clean. Limited electric hookups for RV and a camp sewer dump near the store. Shared drinking water faucets available but you can not hookup it up to the RV. I would return.

Great hikes in the park. We camped in the campground in site 105. It was a great site. Large and had shade in the afternoon. 104 is definitely the best site for shade. Grounds are well maintained. The showers in the bathroom need some updating. But were overall not bad.

Quiet neighbors. Other campers were friendly respectful. Store hours were hit and miss. The sign always said closed. They closed an hour earlier than what was posted on the web. The woman at the store was very nice, the man was rude. Bathrooms were dirty, showers disgusting, the stall walls and doors were broken, rusted and rotted. This was in both men's and women's. Only one shower was working in women's restroom. We saw a storage area with all new fire rings and picnic tables stacked up... spend the money on a new bathroom!

Ron the camp host was amazing. So nice and helpful and even hung out with us for a while. The campsite is super convenient and the weather was perfect. The one thing that could be improved was that the women’s bathroom had only 1 working shower.

Great spot, great time of the year to visit and hike. Surprisingly busy with trailers.
No water hookups and the water at the available refill stations was murky. Supposedly safety-checked daily and chlorinated, however.
