Great campground, well kept and clean ! The park has a shuttle on the weekends that'll take you to the varies trail heads as most of the parking lots and small and fill up quick!

Campground very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Spaces are somewhat close together but we had an end space where bullfrogs sang us to sleep. We were there during the week but it can get crowded. Only negative is not enough showers. Really loved the free WIFI.

Stayed at the RV site - Electric. very good, gravel nearly level. Only issue was the showers, very few for the whole campsite and always occupied. The facilities at this NP has to definitely improve. Hikes are great and opportunity to watch condors. Bring Binoculars

We enjoyed the hiking and seeing the Condors.

If you are staying the campground, you will enjoy the peace and quiet, and electric hookup. The camp store and park information store are both very helpful. There's a small pool, but it wasn't open while I was there. We weren't towing a car, so to get to the trailheads, we had to pack up the RV and drive over. It wasn't bad though ... just a few miles. Get there early for a parking spot. We went to the Bear Gulch Cave trail which was pretty neat but scary ... many stairs, many tight fits, even a part where you had to crawl and push your backpack ahead of you. It's real nature, not Disneyland, I guess! We did see a bunch of condors right from the campsite. Bring your binoculars.

Fantastic campground. Only about 1/2 full during the week. Great hiking and weather in between major storms

Nice quiet campground. Would have been nice to have water - but at least we had electricity. Amazingly, we were able to get wifi and cell service! Beautiful hikes. Loved the wild turkeys.

Water available at shared spickets around the campground. You have to share w/ your neighbors and hope they dont leave their hoses hooked up or run over your hose when filling. The dump station was not great: dirt lot/area so you couldnt wash the area after dumping. The sewer inlet was not lower than the surrounding area so any overflow would not run downhill. We did not use the bathrooms although we heard there were only 2 showers for each men/women for the entire campground.

This was our second trip - it is really nice that there is a pool there and showers. And there are a few bathrooms that actually have flush toilets. Campsites are well-maintained and there are multiple water spigots throughout the campground. We’ve done most of the hikes and would recommend they be done in the morning and be completed by 11 or 12 in the afternoon because it does get quite warm.

Great campground. Site 113 is adequately spacious and nearly level. Grounds are clean. We didn’t use the bathrooms or showers so can’t comment. Staff in the store and rangers station are very friendly and helpful. You can’t beat the location. Trails are all over the area.

Campground dirt road is very rough. Site 113 electric pedestal has has an open ground anomaly that has been reported to management, but they did not seem willing to troubleshoot it or have it repaired. The dump station was closed during our stay. There was ongoing construction in the campground during our stay with heavy equipment to maneuver around and with associated operating noise throughout the day.

In spite of the campground issues, we did enjoy our stay. The Bear Gulch Cave and Balcony Cave hikes were quite an adventure.

Campground was conveniently located close to hiking areas with a shuttle to take you there. That was awesome! Hiking trails are really cool! Caves were cool too!!
Bring a flashlight!!! My only wish was that the campground has water hookups.
Not a deal breaker by any means, but just good to know ahead of time. Electrical hookups were great.

Our early December visit was perfect for hiking and a exploring the caves.

We had four wonderful days of hiking including Bear Gulch Springs reservoir (beautiful) Condor Gulch High Peaks loop (challenging and spectacular) Balconies Cave (very cool scramble through the jumble) and a portion of Blue Oak which is lovely and peaceful. Also loved to watch the condors flying in to perch in the Grey Pine on the ridge above the campground late afternoon. A real gem!

The stargazing was amazing. Good RV hookups. It was super hot though so very grateful to have AC for the night. Facilities a little run down but overall good experience. Hiking was also cool - loved the caves.

Weather was hot. The person at the main gate was terrific. The camping area was okay but very dusty. Poison oak was in abundance. The power to my site failed on the 2nd day. The onsite store is great. The trails are good. There is an abundance of biting flies that were maddening.
@ReidH871 · Camped on May 31, 2021 at Campsite #113
Beautiful campground and surroundings! Make sure to take the hike to see the Pinnacles formations from the trailheads nearby. Due to COVID, the shuttle service from the campground to the trailhead was unavailable so you either need to take a vehicle to the trailhead or hike about 2 miles from campground to reach the beginning. Be aware of the extreme heat this time of year (June)- it was 95+ degrees and although there is some shade in campground area, it's pretty hot. Bringing plenty of drinking water is an obvious must. Clean campground with all the amenities necessary as well as wildlife (including observable condors in the area).

We got a good spot on the end close where the hiking trail started. There were no bathrooms close by. No shade.
