The campground was lovely and clean bathrooms with flush toilets a definite plus. Our site (34B) was large and private but lacked shade in the afternoons. The camp store is small but a good stop for a cold drink.

Great site, private and near a field area the kids played in. The closest restrooms were actual buildings, not porta potties, and were very clean. There is also a water dispenser at the restrooms.I was nervous about the raccoons, but we were lucky and did not have any issues with raccoons while we were here. We were very careful about packing trash quickly and about food storage; we also planned easy low-prep meals and tried finish cleanup while it was still daylight.

Wonderful campground in the winter. It would be great if they delivered firewood to your site for those not in a car or camper.

The campground is huge! The pool was great on a very hot day but they could use more chairs there. Be sure to bring a chair with you. The store is well stocked and nice to have access to. The trails are close to the camp and although people said there was little parking, we found plenty near the ranger center. The campsite was good. The sites for tents are a little close to the neighbors, but this site had some nice shade. Be aware that the raccoons are very highly skilled at getting food! They ended up in our tent and shredding a trail bar! We had to zip tie our tent shut. Be sure to use the bear boxes, even for lip balm and lotion. I loved the quiet hors and no generator rules. We ended up at site 59. The sites that are the high 50s-60s are good tent sites with shade. It's nice to have bikes there. We saw so much wildlife in the campground! Bats, deer, turkeys, squirrels, racoons. The hiking is outstanding. Saw condors the 2nd say.

School Groups across the creek are loud. It sounds like recess all of the time. They were noisy until 9 PM.The shuttle wasn't running, so we tried several time driving up the hill to the trail heads which were FULL. We never were able to do the hikes that we wanted to do.Staff was unfriendly.

Amazing trip and an amazing and clean campground! We were in campsite 34, and let me tell you, I think this was the best site! It was secluded, great sunlight, and all the bushes created homes for little critters which made things entertaining! Come!

Secluded spot with lots of room. This site also gets a good T-Mobile signal.

Love Pinnacles, always have and always will. Been camping there since the mid-90s when in was a private campground and cost $12/night. Boy, things have changed. But, glad to see it staying wild for the critters. Get that trash out of the brush please, and no more clearings, and no more tent cabins. No more conveniences. People who want that stuff should stay home. Thank you

We enjoyed a couple of days in this park, hiking two trails and enjoying the riparian environment on two streams. It was a challenge to get our 24' trailer in campsite B34 as the road and campsite entrance are narrow and bounded by vegetation. But once there we enjoyed the cozy, private nature of that site. As promised there was no cell service.

The camping area has plentiful potable water and bathrooms, which is quite luxurious compared to what Im used to. The people working in the camp store were very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Campground was dead empty but bathrooms were all clean & grounds were well maintained. The stream that runs through the campground was dry but there was water along the caves hike & in the reservoir (which were both incredibly beautiful). Highly recommend a visit!

Under construction but clean bathrooms and showers. Make sure to grab a spot with shade!

What a great park! Within minutes of arriving i saw multiple california condors soaring. Birding in the campground was excellent! Off season was perfect—very uncrowded. Our site was nice and private. I loved the bear gultch trail through the cave and up to the reservoir. Scenic! I’ll be back.

I love Pinnacles and the campground, and always will, though it's not as nice as it used to be. Since it became a national park it's all become expensive, crowded, and noisy. Tent campers have become a minority, replaced by trailers and camper vans. I appreciate they have maintained the wild, overgrown brush and trees about the camps, so birds and other critters are still common to see. I appreciate there is no public Wi-Fi. But those tent cabins... What an eyesore.

Many of the sites are quite large and private - so overall it is an attractive campground. The bathrooms were kept clean (both in the campgrounds and at the trail head). Don't miss the Bear Gulch Caves loop - in just 2 1/2 miles, there is an incredible amount of variety from oakwood lands to red rock formations (both from a distance on the way up and close up on the Rim trail on the way back), plus a lovely small reservoir.

This place is awesome. Campground is great too.
@GloriaElisaMar · Camped on Aug 31, 2021 at Campsite #34
It was a pleasant surprise to have flush toilets and bathrooms that were very clean. There were so many different animals like deer, bunnies, raccoons, squirrels, quail, scrub jays, steller jays, acorn woodpeckers, ravens, turkey vultures, and of course the California Condor if you're lucky to see one of the 33.

The camp store has a lot of necessities, cute hats, and ice!
It is very hot and dry during late august/ September, so make sure to bring a lot of water ( one gallon per person / day) and coconut water.

It was stunning, wild, and so fun even though it was hot hot hot.
@ElizabethE937 · Camped on Jul 15, 2021 at Campsite #34
Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly; however, all night long there was an unusual amount of animal rustling around the tent.

The hiking is great and the reason to go. It turns out they have only two showers for men and two for women to serve the entire campground. And one of the women showers was broken the entire time, and we were told it would not be repaired until they rebuild/restore the bathrooms. In the late afternoon women had to line up in line to get a turn at the once shower. And then the only working shower plugged up one day and was unusable until the next day when they fixed it. One day the pool was closed all day because a pump broke or the PH was off in the water, we heard both reasons. In general it felt like the campground was running on a shoestring of a budget in terms of upkeep.

What a great campsite! They had fantastic fire wood service, which was clutch to keep us cold. Temperatures dropped to about 40 degrees in February at night, but was very nice during the day. Staff is friendly and the park is beautiful!
