We loved our cabin and the site! There's a little spot behind the tent within the trees which was a perfect nook for our kids and a hammock during the heat of the day. We especially appreciated the staff who informed us about the best way to enjoy the cave hike, by waking up early and eating breakfast in the parking lot to beat the heat and not worry about parking. The pool was fun too. Thanks again!

Fast and efficient check-in. Tent cabin was fantastic, even if there was no shade in site 24. Showers and bathrooms were clean, and the camp store well stocked and appropriately priced. Loved our experience!

Great stuff: Beautiful site, Roomy clean tent, Solar lights, Picnic table and Adirondack chairs. Bear box for food, Easy check in. Bathroom and showers could be closer, but not a problem. Hiked through the caves/reservoir. Hiked the high trail and saw two condors, Hiked to the benches and wiggled through the cave, tons of wildlife, Beautiful night sky

Amazing campground. We stayed in a tent cabin and it was worth the extra money. Other guests were noisy until about 1AM so that was frustrating but we could have brought ear plugs.Hikes around the park were overflowing with water like we were hoping. Trails were excellent maintained and easy to follow. As long as you get to the parking areas before 8AM or after 5PM we didnt have any issues finding a spot. The campground store was awesome! Priced like we expected and we got some extra snacks we loved.Defiantly plan on visiting this park again in the future. We didnt get to do all the hikes in the two days we visited.

The park is beautiful and the opportunities to see wildlife abundant. Be aware that cellular service is largely unavailable in the park. As expected, the days are hot and nights chilly. The only downside we experienced was that we were allowed to book campsites online that were in an ACTIVE construction zone, without being informed ahead of time. Since we weren't spending a lot of time at our site except to sleep, it wasn't a huge bother, but being woken up before 7 am by construction vehicles passing within feet of us was unpleasant to say the least. Overall though, I'd do it again just for the delight of seeing condors in the wild and a fox and her kits playing.

The tent cabins were in excellent shape. We loved the campground. There were quite a few campers but it didn’t feel overcrowded. Overall we loved the park.

Excellent little tent cabin, not far from where we planned to hime. It was super simplistic but cozy, comfortable and spacious. The store had a decent selection of snacks/drinks to chose from. We opted to purchase wifi for low price and were able to plan our next day.

Stayed in canvas tent. Was clean and neat. Must bring your own sleeping bags. Hike the cave trail. Enjoyed it . Fairly short. Then hiked condor gulch and high peaks. Had a great overhead shot of 2 Condors.October was perfect time to go. Weather mild. No crowds.

We use the tent cabin for one night, family with two kids, we did the bear gluch on the first afternoon, and the condor view point the day after (which was too hot for some of us). The pool is close at this season, but still very hot.We enjoyed it overall.

First time tent camping, was a wonderful setting. Look forward to the bathroom repairs finishing, but the outhouses were clean. Helpful park rangers and campground staff. Unbeatable geology, habitats, bird sightings.

The tent cabins were shockingly nice, and the hiking was varied and beautiful. Watch your food though, the racoons were very aggressive about approaching our campsite, even when we were just a foot away from our food they tried to sneak up and steal some. Love that they deliver the firewood to your campsite when you buy it at the camp store. A+ weekend getaway from the bay area.

Camping cabin was so nice and spacious, though next time we'll spring for a heated one! Really nice upgrade from regular tent cabin. Solar lights were a nice touch. Easy to check in late at night via lockbox code provided with booking confirmation.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with a Great little camp shop. We loved the tent cabin - spacious and clean - and the bathrooms (and shower) were very nice.
The parking lot by the trails was way too small and filled up by 8:30 am. They should reopen the other parking lot which was empty!

We stayed in one of the cabin tents in our visit. The weather was very cold overnight, freezing 2-3 of the nights. While the cabin tent didn’t keep us warmer than a traditional tent, the beds and overall roomieness of the cabin made those icy mornings a heck of a lot more bearable.

The staff was very friendly and the campground itself was immaculate. The sites were perfectly spaced apart making for easy social distancing and a private camping experience.

We will stay again!

We stayed in one of the cabins on our recent trip. It was nice not having to set up our tent, and just be able to deal with unloading the car & setting up the beds. So, plus for that. We found, for our personal enjoyment, that the campground was much too crowded. It kind of felt like the campsites were too close together, and we didn't get the feeling that we were really out in nature, so much as in a busy hotel without the benefit of insulated walls. Other than that, it seemed like the campground was well maintaned: the bathrooms were clean (and a pleasant surprise that they had a bathroom per camp spur, with flushing toilets, running water, and soap (especially during COVID)), each of the potable water spigots was clean without any food waste left from washing dishes. We didn't manage to really explore the park at all because of all the closures and the amount of people visiting the park (and therefore, all the same people on just the one trail that was open). We ended up just walking around the road of our spur, and enjoyed that enough. If they were to improve anything about the campground, it could probably do with some more signage -- we got lost a couple times going to our cabin, and trying to get out. A couple dead-ends later, and we finally found the exit.
