Pinnacles is wonderful. The campsite is slightly set apart from the other 4 sites in this cluster, and is a (short) walk from where you would park your car - watch out for ant hills on the way. Trees to the south/west made for some nice afternoon/evening shade. Bathrooms were clean, with flush toilets, and easy to use, surprising given it was shared with a number of group camps. As others have said, beware raccoons, jays, and other critters around your food. I personally was very charmed by the bunnies and quail I was sharing the space with.It was right off the Bench Trail which was very convenient, but also meant that hikers would pass close by and occasionally wander into your site. And the site is close to the road leading into the park, right by some rumble strips, which you can hear most of the day and also in the wee hours. For hikes starting from Old Pinnacles or Bear Gulch, I just drove in since starting from the campground would have added an extra 5 miles or so, and parking was easy on weekday mornings. But I hiked straight from the campsite for a nice long nature walk around South Wilderness Trail, which I thoroughly enjoyed - both the hike and the fact I didn't have to drive or shuttle anywhere.

Excellent campsite services and great hiking experiences. We viewed condors and many other birds and wildlife as well as numerous flowering plants during our visits. Trails were well marked and maintained. Thank you NPS and campground folks.

Good campsite. Prices a bit high for portable toilets but free shower was a plus.

Great site! It is a walk to site and not very close to neighbors. Literally on the bench trail and you can hear the nearby stream. Very peaceful with shade coverage. Though you can hear cars drive across the cattle guard on the main road during the day. Restrooms were cleaned and appreciated the hot showers. Thank you!

Large and shady tent site #134; very clean restrooms and shower facility; spectacular scenery and unique geological features; great hiking; abundant deer, wild turkeys, birds and bats. Also very good conditions for star gazing.Annoying flies in the afternoons but gone after sunset when the bats come out.

Our camping trip at Pinnacles NP went very well. The campground is clean and nice. The bathroom was quite close, a water spigot really close. Showers are at the visitor center, so it was a drive from our tent spot. The showers are free of charge, though there are only two stalls. The visitor center is alright, we just bought ice there, so i'm not sure about the rest of the items they sell, if it's a good variety or whatever. :)The park is beautiful, there are quite some hiking trails. It is super hot in the summer, be prepared with sunhats, sunscreen and water.

Raccoon are very aggressive, keep your food in the critter box and a "rat sack" is a good idea, because there are big enough holes for small critters to get in.Showers were clean and very welcome. Pool area was pleasant, but the pool was very cloudy.10 pm quiet wasn't enforced and made one night less than peaceful.

Beautiful in the day and at knight. Park was not nice and peaceful. Hiking trails are great for any skill level

I used this campground as a destination for a two-day, one night overnight solo backpacking trip--starting and ending on the west side of the park, with one night in the campground. It was a great way to see the full park and do some enjoyable low-elevation backpacking in November.
