The campground was beautiful, quiet and clean! I was surprised that on the East side I couldnt see any pinnacles tho? I guess maybe you have to go all the way around to the west side? I saw lots of blue jays, woodpeckers and quail tho, so that was fun!

Flora and fauna outstanding, as always. Lots of snakes, lizards, including a horned lizard, and condors soaring over the campsite during the cocktail hour.

The campground was kept up, bathrooms and showers were clean and the trials were well maintained during our visit. Space #75 in the campground was nice and secluded on one side.

Always great to stay here but the only thing was the campsite we had (75 loop C) was very close to our neighbors hat had 5 adults and three kids that made it a bit noisy for us. We walked from the campsite to the Bear Gulch trail and then up to the reservoir. If going during hot months, bring extra water if going on any upper hikes, the air temp can get high.

We had an amazing camping experience at Pinnacles campground! We both felt that we had never heard as many bird songs and amphibian croaking as we did there. The shower facility was a rare treat as well! We had a wonderful secluded site too. We would love to camp here again

Great hiking right out of the campground. Lots of sites to choose from in December, and perfect hiking temperature.

Beautiful area! Didn't get to spend much time in the park due to the heat, 95deg the day we were there, but took an early morning hike and we will definitely go back during another season. The campground is very nice, #50s, 60s, and 70s are best site numbers if you don't have an RV. Lots of shade and breaks between sites and bath areas. Plenty of fresh water for drinking and cleaning, although def observe guidelines re: dish washing and food disposal. The other areas of the campground are flatter and more exposed in every direction (which understandably some folks prefer). Caves were not open at the time (Covid) but it was so hot that those trails would have been too much to tackle anyway. Saw a dead bobcat (totally awesome) and lots of morning birds. Def get up EARLY, hike the lower trails to see birds, then eat, then head uphill for caves and condors. Always bring enough water no matter what temp as it is a very dry area of ever-dryer CA. Have fun!

Get up early and drive to the Bear Gulch parking lot for a morning hike up the High Peaks trail - beautiful views, bring your binoculars in case you see condors! Road closes and parking lot fills up early so get there before 8 or 9 am.

The original check-in host was an absolute joy, but the gal working the front register the rest of the weekend was standoffish and borderline rude. I asked her how her day was going, and she looked at me, ignored my comment, and proceeded to ring me up and give me my total.

The facilities were in excellent condition. The camp store has hands down the coolest branded merchandise of any campground I've been to. It's well stocked with everything you could want (except alcohol). Not all campsites are created equally, so keep that in mind when booking if you prefer a site that's more private. There are plenty of water spigots with delicious tasting water. The sites are well maintained. Overall, I would come back!

Big spaces, some with shade. Showers bit too far, need to drive to reach. Park was empty during the week and closed to day hikers due to Covid, so we enjoyed the quiet and empty camoground a lot. Been to this place many times, highly recommended.

Everything was perfect! The rangers wished me a happy birthday, the hikes and everyone we met at the trails were so kind, even the raccoons who tried to break into our coolers and bear box were cute. Can't wait to go back!
