Very nice facilities, I stayed at campsite 15, and in my opinion the campsites on that loop (10 through 15) have the best location, close to flushing toilets that were clean, had paper and soap all weekend. Also not far from store and showers, which worked great and were free! The hikes in Pinnacles are fantastic, we went from the campsite to the reservoir and it took us about 3h there and back. I'd definitely go back. I'd avoid campsites numbered 50, 51, 52... as there was no bathroom nearby just a portable toilet. And I'd avoid any campsites on the path to the trails as there's a lot of foot traffic.

The Good: As a result of a rain storm dumping the day of our arrival, the caves (Bear Gulch & Balconies) were "flush" with water, active waterfalls in both - do not plan to keep your boots dry. VERY FUN. Saw two condors and had a rattlesnake encounter. The Bad: As a result of a rain storm dumping the day of our arrival, our campsite was a mucky mess with 6" of mud and only about 10% usable - we did not receive a 90% discount! Trail head parking is a huge issue so the Parks Service runs two shuttle busses, however there will be no Shuttle Service this year as they can not find any drivers. The Information Center is CLOSED! Verizon Cell Service continues to not exist.

We had our dogs so we were limited to the hikes we could go on. It was still very nice going to the Bacon ranch and the campgrounds are spread out so that we could take one of our dogs with us and feel like we experienced some of the area. The night sky is beautiful because there are no city lights to interfere with skygazing. My one suggestion is to bring a head lamp for the bathrooms. They operate on a solar light that stays on for maybe 15 seconds. The bathroom than gets very dark. There are no exterior lights on either. The area is beautiful and there are so many turkeys. The employees we talked with were all very helpful and friendly. thank you

Pinnacles NP is a great family fun campground. There are tremendous hiking opportunities with incredible sightings of Condors and Turkey Vultures.

Longtime camper here, been coming to this campground for about 35 years. Despite their own website saying the price is $26/night, a dusty patch of ground here now costs around $45/night - why? Supply chain issues for dirt or something? Did the NPS (which we already pay for via taxes) increase your rent?

Anyway, even given the absurdity of paying almost $100 for two nights of sleeping in the dirt in our own tent, this campground is fairly nice when they aren’t doing heavy construction work (replacing underground pipes) literally eight feet away from your tent from 8am - 6pm or later. There was no indication of this when we reserved, of course, because maybe we would have reconsidered paying $45+ per night to sleep in the dirt. Good luck if you have a toddler that needs a nap. We had to leave early.

I had a great experience. Not very crowded at all. A raccoon stole a brownie from me, I literally turned around and turned back around and it was right there so definitely be on the lookout for them. They do have signs posted but I have never experienced such a bold raccoon ha. Bathrooms were very clean.

Updated bathrooms were nice. Pleased with our campsite. Even in November, difficult to find parking at trailheads.

Pesky Raccoons! They have quite obviously made out like bandits and are used to being fed, creating unfortunate logistical issues in the evening. Campground is very used and trodden. Pool and camp store are nice, as are staff. Showers are clean. Visitor center is pleasant.

I didn't know there was a swimming pool at the campground, that was a surprise. Next time I'll stay long enough to use it and bring a suit! The campground was peaceful and everyone was quiet but I did have a disturbance. There was an aggressive raccoon. It first jumped up on my picnic table and later jumped up on the roof of my car. I had my sunroof cracked open a bit for air and it jumped into my car. I was very upset about that but opened the door and yelled at it to get out. So this city girl has to remember they have an incredible sense of smell and even though I kept my garbage bag in my car it could smell the remnants of food. I was there to do a photography night shoot and it turned out well. Next time I will be very cautious about the raccoon.

Great place for hiking. Bathroom was close and clean, but no paper towels or hand dryer (bring your own towel!). Would have liked the store to stay open longer than 9:00 to 5:00.

We selected site # A15, a non electric site near a bathroom. When we arrived, we discovered the bathroom was closed for renovation. They placed several portable toilets for our use. If we knew the bathroom was closed we would have chosen a different site. It should not be difficult to update REC.GOV with that info. Otherwise, our site was fine as was our visit to Pinnacles.

Easy for the most part. There are a few refinements the site could make.

We enjoyed the wildlife in and around the campground, including seeing California condors fly over our campsite each afternoon. We also appreciated the well stocked store located at the entrance to the campground and easy walking distance from our campsite.

Had a fun time camping with family. The staff and rangers are always friendly and helpful. The weather was nice, a little warm so we did our hikes in the morning and evening.

What a gem! Even though it was hot 86-90 degrees outside we were able to complete most of the trails, which were in fantastic condidtions. We saw a condor from 30 ft away atop the High Peaks Trail (amazing views and so much fun to hike). If you are only there for one day or 4 hours... you need to do the Moses Spring Trail to the resevoir (glorious scenery). We camped for 3 nights, the pool was a bonus and nicely maintained as were the campsites). Store had everything you could need and everyone was helpful.
I am planning to return in early spring hoping the caves will be open and to enjoy the wildflowers.

Good to be camping again and to be awakened by turkeys, hike all day, have dinner by a crackling fire and look up to see stars like I haven't seen in months!

We were interested in seeing the Acorn Woodpeckers tending their granary trees. We did this over in the group campground area. I remembered it from an autumnal equinox visit forty years ago And it was great to observe them again. Were told that woodpeckers do not eat the acorns but an insect lays its eggs in the stored acorns and they come back and eat the larvae. Can you verify?
