The park has very insufficient parking for the trailheads. We ended up adding like 4 miles total to our day just because of lack of space (the west entrance was closed, and the east parking lots are tiny). But the hikes are worth it--the caves are super-neat and not too long, and the views are gorgeous. We were there in mid November and got surprisingly warm weather (over 80 degrees). The hikes here are all about the vast views of the unique mountains, so pick a cooler time to hike them due to the lack of shade on most of the trails.Campground: get a spot away from the road for more shade (but more aggressive wildlife). This campground only has one set of showers by the camp store with 2 stalls per gender, and much sparser bathrooms than most campgrounds. Be prepared for this. Also check the fire warnings--this was the first time we were not allowed fires even in the fire rings, so good thing we brought a Coleman stove. We booked late and so got a camping spot near the group sites which was very wide and flat, and loud due to the road and the group nearby, but we still had deer, turkeys, quail, and other animals just hanging out doing their thing right next to us. Both times I stayed here (May and Nov) the campground was loud humans at night. Bring earplugs if you sleep early (also if you want to sleep in, the birds put on a show at dawn too!) Overall, so grateful that I'm able to see these rock formations, and even with absolutely stuffed parking lots, the trails do not seem busy.

Well-maintained and uncrowded campground. A well-appointed camp store / gift shop, and hot showers! Exciting hiking, caves, condors, . . Whats not to like?

While I greatly prefer backpacking to car camping, we had a good time camping at the Pinnacles. I give it a 4 and not a 5 only because of the lack of shade and how the campsite we were in was just a big open space with other campsites also in the big open space. It was super fun to hike up the High Peaks trail, though we had to hike 2 more miles than we'd planned because of the lack of parking near the trailheads. We had to park at the Peak View parking area and walk a mile to get to the trail head. Best to go early morning or late afternoon if you hope to see condors and BRING WATER! I couldn't believe the number of people I saw up there with no water. It's a difficult hike that takes hours - you need water! Also, be prepared to have no cell service at all - which was exactly how we wanted it! Great place to completely unplug for a few days!!

Spacious campground with free showers accessible. Close to the trailhead. I do wish the pool had been open, but I suppose we were there somewhat early in the season still.

It's a good place to camp. But far away to pinnacle if walk from bench trail. In holiday, make sure to drive to Pinnacle parking lot earlier; otherwise, you have to walk to there :)

We were able to snag a last minute spot, our site had ZERO shade up until the sun started going down. Being at the end of the road was nice as you dont have to deal with traffic passing by your campsite. However, the walk to the bathroom (especially during the middle of the night) is a little long. The campsite as a whole is very quiet and mellow which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were able to try the showers towards the end of the day water was hot so no complaints there. We will note we were pretty close to our neighbors but that didnt bother us none. Watch out for the raccoons! They are quick and veryyy quiet

I hate to write that everything was excellent and now even more people will want to come. But it was great, clean bathrooms, soap and toilet paper available, drinking water available, people respectful of the quiet times, what more can you ask for at campground! Love Pinnacles campground! Thank you!

Campsite 130G was spacious and clean. The fire pit and picnic table were sturdy and level. The restrooms were clean and I was pleasantly surprised to find soap, shampoo and conditioner provided at the only showers by the store. It would be handy if the sinks had a horizontal surface to put things down on. Lots of wildflowers, and gorgeous larkspur on the west end of the Blue Oak Trail in May. The poison oak was also rampant.

Nice little campgrounds. Handy little market with helpful staff. Awesome place to pick up forgotten items and fresh ice. Hiking is the only way to really see the park's beauty. Abundant wildlife at the campgrounds including deer, turkey, quail, raccoons and I was delighted to get in two Condor sightings. Will look forward to a return trip.

Our group of ten people completely enjoyed the campgrounds as well as the hiking trails! The majority of all campsites were in good locations with some shade. A few were in the hot sun so do your own research. There were ample enough parking spaces for our vehicles. Most hiking trails were approximately two miles away from our campsite. The campground restrooms were always clean and furnished with soap and toilet paper. The camp store did not sell any alcoholic beverages for those who wish to indulge so BYOB. The swimming pool was a nice touch after our hike. There were a lot of raccoons who loved getting into partially opened coolers, containers and other storage areas at night so make sure to police your own area. All campsites have a metal storage box for storing food and fire pits. Speaking of wildlife, we seen numerous California condors, a wild turkey, a coyote, deer, and several species of birds.

Overall, this was a fantastic campground and National Park that most of the people in our group indicated would return again.

We stayed in site #133 which is a group site and it was great for social distancing. The site was located at the beginning of the Bench trailhead so it was a great place to start the hike. It’s about 1.5-2 miles to the beginning of the high peaks trail head. Hike to the top was well worth it to see the condors.
