Location is great, star gazing is fantastic. The facilities are disappointing particularly for a National Park. The bathrooms are a long way from the campsites; they were closed for most of our stay and the showers were cramped when you could get one (there were only two for the entire campground). I understand that funds are scarce, but this is not a good look for a national treasure.

No BR facilities in the RV section of the camp. Spacing between RV sites was OK, with a small amount of surrounding grass. The BR facilities near the CG entrance that were closest to the RV sites featured showers and flush toilets, but no soap for the sinks -- 3/5 quality. Small store at the CG entrance. Short drive to the trailheads. Overall 3/5.

Bear gulch cave to high peaks trail was very good.

Such a quiet & well maintained campground! The birdlfe was incredible.We enjoyed hiking everyday, through caves & high peaks as well as through oak meadows. We had a wonderful 5 days!

Very enjoyable stay! Deer and turkey visits everyday! WiFi was strong enough to stream TV.

We stayed in the loop with electricity and it was very nice since it was cold at night. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the campsites are well maintained.

Campground and the Park are great. I was not happy that you can not use a propane fire ring. I understand wood, charcoal but a propane fire ring????? Come on, it's a bit of an over reach and way too restrictive. Please allow propane fire rings in the near (Like yesterday) future.

The campground was nice. The spot was quite level and there was plenty of space. I would probably give a higher rating, but there was a lot of road construction in and around the campground. That limited when and where I could travel within the park. It also tied up rangers, so there was little opportunity to ask questions. I'm sure the road improvements will help a lot, but they made my visit less than ideal.

One of our favorite campgrounds. This time of year, April, is so beautiful and green. Lots of water in the creeks and waterfalls. Just gorgeous!

Park ranger annoyingly made us move one of our two vehicles at our two vehicle site at 9 pm with little direction as to where the overflow parking was. Otherwise great site and wonderful experience.

Nice big RV spaces. Ours was not quite level. Very clean bathrooms. Friendly people working in the shops. We enjoyed watching the turkeys wandering around. Would be even better if wifi extended further into camp. I would definitely camp there again if I am lucky enough to do so!

Pinnacles National Park campground has it all! Beautiful surroundings, wild life views, awesome hikes and dark skies for star gazing.

The reason for a 4 star, not 5 star, rating is the lack of services. In the parks defense, we visited off season, but it is a small park. The rangers and employees we did encounter were extremely helpful and willing to assist. We greatly appreciated having an electric hookup and a dump station on siteamenities we arent used to at most campgrounds we visit. I do give the rest rooms and showers 5 stars. The rest rooms are very clean with FREE, hot and clean showers. The campground is not in the most scenic part of the park, but with a 2.5 mile drive there are a number of very scenic trails. I dont know what this park would be like in the heat of summer, but in winter and spring it really shines. The temps are cool and trails have an abundance of water in and out of the talus caves. The Moses Spring Trail is very pretty when the water is flowing, and the High Peaks and Rim Trails have nice views with opportunities to view condors. Not sure why, but in Spring 23 we had no cell service at the campground and purchased WiFi for $10. In January 24 we had good connectivity with both T-Mobile and AT&T. This is a great under the radar park to visit.

Wonderful park, so many hiking options! The campsites are large, especially the non-hookup sites!

I made a reservation for an RV campsite at Pinnacles National Park. Upon arrival, I noticed that the power pole at my site had a sticker indicating it provided 30 AMPS of power. I utilized both a TT-30 Adapter to charge my Tesla and a NEMA 10-30 to power my induction stove top, and both devices functioned flawlessly.Additionally, I explored the hiking trails in the area, particularly the Bear Gulch Cave Trail, which took approximately 30 minutes each way. The trail's level of difficulty was just right for my preferences. I recommend bringing a flashlight for the cave portion of the hike. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

This campground has been changed since we were last here a few years ago, so the sites are nice and new. The campground is conveniently located near good hiking trails. However, we discovered that parking at the trailheads is limited, so if you want to find a parking spot it's best to get there early.

Showers closed, toilets literally overflowing, portable toilets overfilled and filthy, and too few facilities for the spaces at the campground. Considering that people pay a fee, and this is a symbol of our country for foreign visitors, it is concerning.
@Chrisd8356495 · Camped on Apr 19, 2023 at Campsite #110
The campground was clean and adequate space between campsites. Our only complaint was the RV dump station was locked and a key was available at the store that opened at 9:30 AM, This quite late for those who need to make an early start. The parking at the end of the road was too small for the volume of visitors. You are getting popular and need to step up.

We love staying at the campground. Numerous upgrades are evident - work on the restrooms and improvement to the Wi-Fi. It would have been helpful to know that the bathrooms and showers were closed for renovation, though!

Beautiful camping site, excellent hiking routes. We had deer just outside our camper every morning, lots of other animals around the area at all time. Only downside was that the showers were closed and the shop was out of milk :) Would recommend this site to all who appreciate nature and a good hike. We also walked down to the old homesteads, which was like a walk back in time, on that walk we did not meet anybody so it was just us and the old fabulous oak trees :) So peaceful!

The bathrooms needed cleaning, two of the three men's toilets in the campground were not usable.
The only interaction I had with the rangers was entering and leaving the park. Both were very pleasant.
The trails that I hiked were all in good shape.
Overall I very much enjoyed my time there and I will be returning.

Sites were pretty level which is unusual for campgrounds. The employees were very friendly, something not seen a lot in campgrounds like this. Very beautiful sites and electrical hook up for our RV. The dump station was easy to use and accessible. Great stay!

Loved our trip! Didn't know there was a swimming pool there. Loved the electric power in the RV sites. Wonderful trails and interesting sites. Just be aware the East and West entrances do not intersect and the campgrounds are reached by the East entrance only!

Arrived to find someone in our campsite. Hosts and camper worked with us to resolve this quickly. We love Pinnacles and enjoy the RV campsites. Weekends are very busy and lots of partying going on. Not many turn off all their lights so you can enjoy the night skies. It is also a hiking park - to see the best sights you need to get on the trails and go for a hike. We did see some Condors, but there were 100's of Turkey Vultures and, not surprisingly, many arguing that these were Condors in the trees right next to the campground. No, they were vultures....
@jayj593 · Camped on Aug 9, 2021 at Campsite #110
Bathrooms and showers were ok (need quarters to use the showers - so bring some because the store hours are limited). Sites were large and level. It is hot in August - so be prepared - but cooled off nicely in the evening. The star gazing was amazing. Best I've seen in 30 years. Getting to the north entrance of the park is a long and narrow two lane road with nothing around and no cell phone service - so fill up before you exit the 101.
