Beautiful spots right on the river. Well maintained campground with wonderful hosts. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever experienced at a campground. The hosts blocked day-use the weekend we were there, so we didn't have to deal with a bunch of extra crowding. The river was still very high and swift at the end of June.

Our campsite had rain ruts all through it. It does not have a built up pad. Thankfully the campers next door had a rake and loaned it to us. The vegetation blocked the view of the river. No shade either. Hosts were great and everyone was very quiet at night.

The park is downhill from the highway and next to the river. Be careful when choosing a site by the river if you are in an RV. RV parking was quite a bit above where your picnic table is located. The campsites along the river are big, level, but don't have much shade in mid-day. The sound of the river was very soothing.
During my stay there, there was a campsite of new campers with two yappy dogs which got disturbing at times. Truly both the owners and the dogs weren't accustomed to being in a public campground with other people with dogs walking around their campsites. They did their best to quiet the dogs. Forgiven for being newby campers. The composting toilets were clean and well maintained. the camp hosts were helpful and informative. I will definitely stay there again.

Very confusing site. I had to kick 2 people out of my campsite. No host around. People use campsites for day use, but that does no good when they are a mile down river fishing. Campers have to wait. Frustrating. Fishing good. Tubing fun. But either get rid of day use, tell people to stay out of campsites, or designated day use parking. Day use fishers are very indignant and have little respect for paid campers. If you go there be prepared for an argument, maybe a fight and for a frustrating experience.
