Had a great time except somebody took our spot even though I had called ahead saying I was going to be late and they assured me they would hold my campsite. Luckily another group never showed so we had a campsite anyways

Eleven-mile campgrounds are in splendid locationall the campsites are excellent.Be advised that your campsite must be occupied by you on the first day of a multi-day reservationor you risk losing your campsite even though you have it reserved and have paid for it. We were told this by two different employees.

The campsite was super nice and just a walk to the river. There is a long staircase from the parking spot to the campsite which makes it more challenging to set up camp. Overall very nice! Comes with a stair master workout.

Nice spot. Camped in October and it seemed like this area was colder than everywhere else. Maybe a good thing in the summer. The 2023 host did an amazing job keeping the sites clean. Ours was raked like a Japanese garden and the fire pit had zero ashes. Even though theres a beautiful creek nearby, the campground water source was poor. Hand pumping brown water. We had to borrow some from neighbors for drinking. There is no firewood to be gathered in the area, so plan to buy in town or from the host. Road is super dusty and washboarded. If fishing or climbing, you will be inhaling a lot of it. One in our party got an eye infection. All that said, we had a good time.

Clean, really cool sites tucked into the canyon. had climbing walls nearby, some small hiking trails, the river, nice centralized location for a lot of activities the canyon has to offer. No campground host, they are located at riverside campground, and spillway, so if you need firewood you have to travel to those locations. Bathrooms and sites were being attended to as I pulled in, the sites are built into the sides of a hill, so my site in particular might be hard to fit several tents into as there is not a whole lot of flat, level ground (2 medium sized tents pretty close to each other is all you could fit). if you have a large group, you would definitely want the sites closer to the river (1-3 I think). I absolutely loved staying in this canyon, preferred it over camping at the reservoir I went to the next day.

Nice campground, beautiful surrounding areas. Our campsite was gorgeous, but parking, tent pad and picnic table was on 3 levels. Doable for my party, but might be harder for others. Bathrooms always leave a bit to be desired, the smell horribly of ammonia. BUT... the nearby river, meadows and hills were GORGEOUS. Nice and quiet. Couldn't hear the road from our spot #15, which was relatively near the front of the campground. We had a single deer come near our spot, which was nice to see.

Campground was small and quiet. We stayed at #15 and didn't realize it was on the side of a hill which wasn't bad, but with small kids it was a bit more difficult. The tent pad at #15 didn't fit our large tent so we ended up putting it up on top of the hill. The bathroom in the loop (shared by 12 sites) was filled with flies. The bathroom down by sites 1-3 was much better, but reqired a walk. The fly fishing was amazing so we went to the river everyday we were there.
