This was our favorite stay of a week long excursion to CO. The views on the drive in alone made it worthwhile! We enjoyed hiking, fishing and stargazing. The camp host was kind and attentive. He kept the vault toilets clean, made the campsites look new after each camper left and was a wealth of knowledge on the area. Be sure to stop in the general store at the top of the road. Very well stocked.

We will certainly return ASAP to Spillway!

No firewood to buy. But that was ok because last year it was to expensive at $8.00 a bundle. We brought our own.

The host was great. Campgrounds were clean and well spaced apart, fire grills provided. Only downside is the close proximity to the damm and all the vehicle traffic early in the morning.

First and foremost the campground hosts were outstanding. Friendly enough to feel that from the moment I was at my site, I had a contact for any issue that could arise; sensitive enough to realize we mostly just wanted to be alone. We had a very pleasant stay at site 13. Restrooms clean. I was annoyed that work was being done at the dam and one morning awoke to the beep beep beep of heavy machinery and semi trucks.
