Really nice campground with plenty of nice sites. Campground host nice fellow. Loved that the Colorado Trail passes right through. Other nice trails in the area...you don't have to drive to get to a trailhead!

Camp site was very clean and quiet. Rick the camp host was extremely nice and helpful.

Out tent site in loop F02 was not great because the area intended for a tent was on a hill and not flat at all. We ended up pitching our tent in the parking space in front of our car. Also, the nearby vault toilet was old and full of flies, so you wanted to be in and out of there fast. In general our spot was quiet but you could hear cars on the road below heading through town. Gorgeous views nearby looking south during the sunset!!

Great site with SUPER clean bathrooms. Easy to access Twin Lakes, but tucked away from the road. Would visit again.

Beautiful secluded campground at the foot of Mt. Elbert overlooking the Twin Lakes. Colorado Trail runs through the CG and leads to the Continental Divide Trail and South Mt. Elbert Trail. Dry camping, but great for hiking or just plain relaxing. Our favorite summer getaway.

The area is beautiful, and our campsight was shady and comfortable. Our only issue was our neighbors across the road who were drinking and making noise late into the night. It would be nice if quiet hours were respected and enforced.

Clean bathroom in D Loop. Great site split over 3 levels (parking, eating, sleeping) with a ramp between all the levels. Would definitely go again!

I have always loved this campground. The only issue we have had is that on weekends, the nearby dispersed campers all come down and use the vault toilet facilities in loop Aat all times of the day and nite very much disturbing the near by campers. During the week , this is not a problem.The campground host keeps the sites and facilities very clean!

This is a wonderful campground! Although there is no running water, the pit toilets were super clean and not crowded. The views of the lakes and mountains were amazing! We would stay here again.

Nice site. Partial view of Twin Lakes. Site just BARELY accommodated a 38 ft trailer and an adjacent truck. There are a lot of boondocking sites available in the vicinity, but we prefer to have certainty of a spot when arriving. Biked CDT both directions, around Twin Lakes, even Columbine Road during our stay. Biked much of the route of the Leadville 100 race, but stayed off the route on race day

Beautiful campsites nestled into the Aspen and spruce trees. Very well maintained. Sites are best suited for RVs 30 ft or less. The camp host was very accommodating and nice.

Year three! Still no potable water! Upside, they have upgraded the sites on loop E!New tables, timbers, and fire pits. Upgraded pit toilet!! All very nice. The views are still some of the best in the state.

Bring water or fill jugs at nearby White Star Campground.

Beautiful campground. Sites nicely spaced apart. Exceptionally helpful host, clean vault toilets. Downgraded from 5 due to sites being much smaller than listed on the website. The site was listed for a max of 33 ft and we barely had room for our 25 ft camper. Others in our group experienced the same.

Do you love...- mosquitos (and most importantly, do they love you)?- the smell of a vault toilet wafting over your campsite at random moments throughout the day?- the sound of large pickup tricks roaring past your campsite from early in the morning until late at night?If so, then have I got a campsite for you!Seriously, though, even though you do get all of these things, the site wasn't terrible. If you can handle being near the main entrance (and thus getting the road noise from the main road as well as the entrance road) and the occasional smell of the vault toilet, you'll love this site. Just bring mosquito repellent. Bring lots. Oh and please make sure to read any notices on the campgrounds page because there was no water at all at this campground and we didn't bring any with us.Another thing we noticed was that it wasn't really obvious where we were supposed to pitch our tent. You could pitch it on the parking spot if you have a shorter vehicle like we did, but we ended up finding a relatively flat spot up on the campsite that looked like it had been used for a tent before to pitch our tent.Overall, the campground is in a great location. It's close to Twin Lakes and not too far from Buena Vista, Leadville and Aspen. As well as the always spectacular Independence Pass. This really is a must-see. Just remember, it can be in the 80's down in Twin Lakes and cold and windy at the top of the pass, so dress accordingly.

While listed as a tent site there was not a level spot for our tent. I was also disappointed that the paint on the picnic table was peeling. On the positive side the sites were adequately disbursed.

Great amenities with amazing views.

Lakeview is a great campground! The restrooms are clean, there is a nice mix of sun and shade (obviously depending on your site selection) and the view of the lakes is beautiful! Plus there is a lot to dogetting out on the water, hiking, driving over Independence Pass, to name a few. Also, the little town of Twin Lakes has a great visitors center, a really nice, well stocked general store and some great food options!

Great base to hike up La Plata. The campground was full, but had no issues with neighbors or noise. Lovely views too

I hate to give it 5 stars because that might make it harder to get reservations than it already is, but I have to be honest. Great place!!

Campsite was clean and quiet. Would happily come back again.

The area was clean and beautiful, but I thought the sites were a little close. I have to give 3 stars because at 10 am on my last day, the next guests were already unpacking their things in my site as I was cleaning up, putting their things on the picnic table next to me. I want to emphasize this was a reserved site, where check-out is at 11am and check-in is at 2pm. Their tents were up before I even drove off. I think it's inappropriate for the campsite to allow this behavior.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
