We love camping here. We started when we lived up in Campbell, NY and when it was time to look for a house, this campground and the lake were part of the reason we chose to move to nearby Lawrence Township. Now we're just a short drive from the campground, making it easy to camp for a full week when we want to get away from all the noise. The staff do a great job of keeping the bathrooms clean and the campsites tidy. One of the shower houses definitely needs updating, but it's easy enough to go to the bigger newer one in the other loop. The non-flush pit toilet bathrooms are kept clean and don't get smelly unless it gets really busy and people forget to keep the lids closed. It would be really nice to have a shower in the nonelectric section though. I understand why they can't put one in the hike-in section, but the area where we camped this year had a water spigot, so I know it's possible to install at least one shower. I like that the cost is kept reasonable for this campground. It's better than most state parks we've camped at. We also love bringing our kayaks and enjoying the kale e, which is generally not packed with larger boats since it's fairly small.
