Our 4 day trip was excellent. We were able to have our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters join us. Made great memories with family, I t was cold and windy but did not stop us from fun and laughter.

This is a beautiful campground with wide, spacious lots overlooking the lake while surrounded by mountains. The camp store has basic supplies but you are also close enough to Wellsboro or Mansfield for anything more substantial. The ATT cell coverage was good and provided enough data to stream movies. The bathhouses are okay. They are are clean but need a coat of paint/refresh. The wildlife (deer, groundhogs, rabbits) were abundant. There were lots of great playgrounds for the children. The only odd thing was, we never saw a ranger or camp host in person during our whole stay. There are camp hosts, but no one verified our passes or stopped by our site (and no one is at the entrance gate, which lowers the security protections).

The grass at my site, 80, was at least 6-8 inches long when I checked in. When it was finally cut, it was just left there so when you walked around the site you tracked cut grass everywhere. I expected more from a federally run campground. The power went out in the middle of the night and with no one available after 6:00 pm I was forced to run my generator so I was able to run my CPAP machine.

Beauitful campground. HOWEVER the bathhouse/restrooms were the worst I have ever seen. Beauitful from the outside but disgusting on the inside. They were not cleaned once during our entire visit. 29 May - 2 June.

The recreation improvements are fantastic. The Frisbee golf and corn hole especially were enjoyed by my family. The boat slip setup is so easy to use. Thank you for these great improvements. The area was mowed and well kept. The bathrooms were clean.We so enjoyed this beautiful area.

Very nice, clean, well maintained, quiet, large sites, campground hosts do a good job patrolling. If you have a boat, the boat slips are a free benefit of a campsite.
