Love this place. Immaculately clean. Rangers are great to talk to. Giant sites. I was in hawthorn 29. Economical. Close to 2 dollar general stores.

This was a great campground we didn't have any issues the grounds were keep nice in the campground area. The beach changing rooms and bathrooms were terrible. The appeared to not have been cleaned in years. I am not being sarcastic ... They were terrible. Even garage and leaves and and stuff all over. Super run down. It's a same because everything else seemed good. They even have some great corn hole boards out ... Bring your own bags I guess but it was nice.

Great place that was marred by a group of teen aged boys who were running without supervision. They insisted on riding their bicycles through our campsite within inches of me sitting at the fire ring, to access the bridge to the store. The bridge was deemed unsafe by the Rangers and cones and signs were posted. The boys removed the cones and ran over the signs to make the bridge approach smoother. Red Caps and Rangers were told of the problem and did nothing to rectify it. In my mind, the only solution is to totally remove the bridge to eliminate the temptation. The problem mainly lies at the feet of the parents who are as guilty as the boys. There is no respect of space or property. Ive's Run is not the only facility with this problem. It is across the board.
In short, remove the bridge as it is not usable.

Ives run is one of my husband and I's favorite parks to camp. We had our 6 year old granddaughter with us and she loves the playground and meeting new friends Beware of deer ticks We had to remove one from our granddaughter. One complaint; the grass was not mowed and high damp grass is perfect for ticks.

Another one of our favorites. There really isn't a bad place here to camp. We come up once a year to enjoy the area. There is a nice bicycle ride from the campground on a dirt road that we enjoy riding on - this goes along the river. Another great place to cycle is the Pine Creek Trail. Be sure to go on a scenic drive up on the rim of the canyon. You can make it as long or as short as you want to. As with my other reviews, there are a lot of things to do within 90 min of the campground. Be sure to look on Trip Advisor or Yelp to find some interesting places to visit. Try the Corning Glass Factory, Watkins Glen SP for a walk around gorgeous waterfalls. Wine lover? Our favorite thing to do is to drive around Seneca Lake in NY. A must stop is at the Silver Springs Winery on the east side of Seneca Lake for wine that will not go bad for a couple years, then go up to Muranda Cheese and do the cheese tasting. Stop for gelato in Geneva and then check out Earle Estates from some great honey meade. If you have real ambition, try the 1/2 mile hike down a 30% grade on the Fossevue Trail down to the Lake to see the Queens Castle. Follow signs to Caywood Point for parking. Can't wait to return to Ives Run to enjoy camping and exploring.
